- After going to Mazunte beach, we headed to La Punta, the family-friendly, year round expat spot in Puerto Escondido. Puerto Escondido is more interesting than meets the eye, there's the locals beach, main part - sort of banged up, but cheap great home made tacos and Micheladas, and then you can walk down to the hipster, Zicatela and finally, family friendly, poke-bowl eating, La Punta. Great sunsets, very relaxed vibes.

Great Video - I am a single (old) man moving to Puerto Escondido (from Thailand) in November. I am actually starting off by staying in Casa Lani so imagine my surprise when your video starts off there. Hi. I grew in Oaxaca. Been in the US for 27 yrs born in Santa Barbara Cal. I go every year my kids and wife. Love your video this is the first time i write. Just wanted to said to who ever wants to go visit oaxaca especially pto escondido oaxaca. First stop you should make is Puerto angelito, is next to carrisalillo beach, for the evening go to zicatela nice beautiful places and people and for the weekend get out of the beach and go to San Jose del Pasifico is about 3 hr drive from pto escondido and you would be in the most beautiful sunset place in intire Oaxaca. Google PUESTA DEL SOL san jose del pasifico oaxaca and you would get on idea what im talking about. And when you get back to Puerto escondido go to Las Negras Mixtepec Laguna/ Lake. River,lake and ocean comes together👌. Hope this help to make your mind and go. You only live once you wont regretted if you i promise.

Hello, I am planning on moving from Toronto to Oaxaca this upcoming November. I also will have a toddler with me (18 month old for when we move). Any tips on day cares? also, what are the best neighbourhoods in the Puerto Escondido area that could work for settling longer term with a toddler? Any info is much appreciated!
i always tell people they shoudl come for a few months before they decide to move. places are like people. you cant really tell what it's gonna be like until you see if there is chemistry.

What do you like the best Thailand or Mexico.
i like everything about mexico - it's my home. but there's lots to love about Thailand too. i don't think one is better than the other, one is just my home and one is nice to visit. Thailand definitely has some of the best beaches I have ever seen in my life. and thai food is killer.

These Oaxaca beaches look totally freakin' awesome. Since you like hot weather I don't blame you for wanting to hang your hat there. If you can really use that workaround for internet, then what's the problem to live there, if any? Looks like a modicum of social life as well.

i just mark easy. like you just have to look at my white meaty skin and it gets all red. she's 11 KGs. but still way more comfortable in the sakura than in my arms.

so I asked my friend and it's Manzanillo - if you ask there everyone will tell you - it's the local family beach, super well known and I am looking for a place walking distance from there hahaha
