Giant L I had done some research before and the only thing that came close to matching what I witnessed was the “kentucky hellhound” All i know is that it was some sort of hound, maybe a werewolf, who knows (i doubt it tho). I honestly do not care what it was or do i want to know, i just do not want to encounter whatever that thing was. I still visit the farm but stay very far away from those demonic woods.
I thought your story was well done. I have talked to a couple of people online who have encountered something like that. A man told me that he and a buddy were out hunting and they both saw it, his buddy never went out again and wouldn't talk about it. He had been out his whole life so he still goes out, but never to the place he saw it. He felt strongly that it would take more firepower than he had to stop it. That is a common feeling among hunters who encounter these creatures. You should listen to venomous fringe episode 274, "dogman in the basement". This guy gives an incredible first person account, and you have to hear it. He panicked and unloaded a full clip but said it moved unnaturally fast.

Ive lived around Gettysburg my entire life. She's common. I watched a battle happen. It wasnt a reenactment. This red haired man was my friend as a kid. I asked him how he died. I said i could take it. I could. But it wasn't easy. They dont tell you about the whimpers. The splinters. The sounds of bones and organs being bludgeoned with a cannonball then my red haired man showed me how he died. He lived for a while. He told me it felt like forever. He was shot twice in the chest and his pelvis was shattered by a cannonball. The vital organs in his chest were missed. He died mainly from internal bleeding and sepsis. But he was left to die as so many were. He said he got to a point he wasnt scared anymore. Once he lost feeling he even poked around a bit. Learned stuff about the human body that wasnt common knowledge back then. Your intestines wiggle and slither themselves back into place. As long as the heart beats it will go back to the formation it wants. He hangs around the statue of i think its general Lee's horse. I asked once why he was fighting and he said that his family made him do it. So yeah. Go visit him im sure hes lonely. Ask him about the real battle.

i live around the area of the story "phantom cars" (small town in the tablelands so i usually had to take that stretch of roads to get to my previous high school) lots of people do die on those roads heading out from mareeba, especially the aftermath of the rodeo/show. it's alcohol mostly, occasionly drugs too. i cringed when they mentioned the kuranda range though, cars always go off it. mine almost did if my mum hadn't stopped us aquaplaning off the sides.
another town around there (where I'd lived at the time) was very prominent for seeing ghost lights after the sun when down. i forget the roads name but the town is called ravenshoe, it's not a nice place but lots of spooky things happen there

It's boring most of the time but it's safer than the city. May not need to carry a gun in the country as much as you do in the city but you can get away with it easier and be able to protect yourself at least. I spent my first 18 years in the city but now I have been in the country for 25 years and I will never go back to the shity. I don't mind driving 10 miles to a gas station.
