@@onomehtenialb ROFLMAO you can not even get your facts right. First it was the capitol building, second there was no "Storming" the building, everyone was let in. The videos prove conclusively that the capitol police removed barricades and actually held the doors open.
Next the three people arrested for destruction of government property, and assaults that day were associated with either Antifa or BLM. Everyone else is being charged with trespassing, not violence.
Final your an idiot who has no idea what fascism is. You toss around that word because it is hurtful to others and makes them shut up. You are the fascist, you support a racist, sexist corrupt political party that uses violence, terror, and outright blatant vote rigging to achieve power. It was not republicans or Trump supporters who stormed the capitol in 2017, 2018, and 2019. It was not republicans who went on killing sprees at wal marts, olive festivals, INS detention facilities, CHOP, Portland, Dayton, and others in California. Each of those were committed by individuals who were either active members of Antifa or associates.
It was not republicans or Trump supporters who attacked trans activists in LA. It was not Trump supporters attacking orthodox Jews in Baltimore, NYC, Boston, and a dozen other cities. That would be again Antifa and BLM. It was not Trump or his supporters who censored the news that would be Democrats and their supporters. It was not Trump or his supporters who attacked anyone who simply wore a red hat even if it was for a sports team. It was not republicans or Trump supporters who attacked a Black woman simply for sitting down to eat in "their" restaurant.
The only people who are actively denying others votes, the only people silencing their opposition with violence are democrats and the left.
You are either intentionally ignorant, or a blind cult member filled with hate and a need to murder anyone who you think is less than human. In other words 1/2 the US population.
One final note, do you honestly believe that racist Joe Biden got more Black votes than Obama? Do you honestly believe the dead got up and voted in the hundreds of thousands? Because either we are in a zombie apocalypse or the election was fraudulent.

Ah, the most popular song by Living Colour, "Cult of Personality" opens and closes with these famous quotes:
"And in the few moments we have left, we want to talk right down to earth in a language that everybody here can easily understand." Which is Malcolm X, from his "Message To The Grass Roots" speech in 1963. The point of it was to unify African-Americans.
The ending quotes start with John F. Kennedy's famous "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." This is from his inaugural address in 1961.
The significance of the quotes is that both were from men who were assassinated. Most of the song seems to be denouncing idolatry, but there is the one stanza containing the line, "A leader speaks, a leader dies." They also seem to make no distinction between "good" and "evil," as each time they mention a "hero" they pair them with an "enemy" - Mussolini and Kennedy, and Stalin and Gandhi.
The final words are "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself," a quote from Franklin D. Roosevelt's first inaugural address on March 4, 1933. Roosevelt used the address to announce his "New Deal" program and encourage the citizens of the United States to overcome their economic problems as they emerged from the depression.

I always wondered the same thing. They appeared with The Stones at The Cotton Bowl in Dallas. I didn't go but I asked someone who did about the show. They said it was so loud you couldn't even distinguish the music. That may be one reason why they didn't catch on so much. Another reason would be that most people that like The Stones are really stuck on classic rock and nothing else is better to them.

Yeah most people who heard this band thought they were all white. Most likely due to rock being predominantly a white guy area of influence and culture, even to this day, though it originated in the 30s and 40s with jazz music. Also when they came on stage for their first major live performance at a festival after thing song release and began playing peope lost their minds not realizing they were the band. 🎸 Vernon Reid was a founding father of the Black Rock Coaltion (1985). He went to "The Fame" School. HS of Performing Arts in Manhattan but graduated from Brooklyn Tech. Then on to NYU! Same time Rick Rubin was at NYU starting up what would become Def Jam Records. His classmate, Donald Dixon is my Bass Instructor.
Ramones & Punk were only getting booked. We were a bunch of black folk that sounded "just like them" so he grouped together all the bands & we started booking venues to hold BRC events. Back when Ceelo Green, Bruno Mars & Janelle Monae were our 1st featured bands at B.A.M for Afropunk Festivals when we partnered with the X-Games on ESPN.
We held BMX & Skateboard qualifying events they filmed. BRC bands are hard in Tony Hawks video games. He still comes to AfroPunk events with his kids. Hope this gives you a bit of the rich history of Black Rock. 🎸 We all wanted to play like Jimi! 🤘🏾🤘🏿🤘🏼🤘🐰 #ENRGYZRBunny

I'm so glad to have witnessed you guys seeing Living Colour for the first time! You are correct that song was originally released I believe in 1988 off of their debut album "Vivid". They are a New York based band and still are currently recording and touring. As far as being self-taught I would say that safe to assume but I will ask them next time I see them. I believe Corey has had some formal vocal training and Vernon Reid is influenced of course by the best making him in my opinion the third best guitarist probably in the world. They have toured internationally opening up for the Rolling Stones in stadiums when this album was first released. If you are curious about more as you put it "chocolate" rock bands, you should probably check out Fishbone, my favorite track by them is "Sunless Saturday". Spike Lee was the director on that particular song Fishbone is actually out of LA despite the video being filmed in New York. They also have a documentary that was released in theaters not too long ago you might want to check out but first things first check out this song...
    th-cam.com/video/0B61XAN2Ujw/w-d-xo.html
Oh and don't forget to check out Bad Brains too. Another delightful flavor of chocolate in rock bands if you will. Often these three bands will get booked together simply because of their as you said it chocolate flavor. I feel the three types of rock they are are vastly different from one another, Fishbone is obviously much more Ska, Living Colour is more straight ahead 80s hair metal Glam kind of feel rock and roll, and Bad Brains, well, old school raw punk. But please find out for yourselves and tell me what you think genre-wise. Enjoy!
