@@Cowbladd - Well I didn't hear it until the 90's. I was a sheltered kid. LOL
Yours Is No Disgrace from Yessongs, the craziest 5 minutes in music history right in the middle of a 14 minute Masterpiece
"Savage Banger" needs to be a t-shirt. Great reaction guys.
"Like Joseph Stalin... and Ghandi".
Those 2 in the same line... crazy.
@Dilly Dilly
Yeah caught us off guard as well! With the extreme cases it became clear they were like, right or wrong, funny how groups of people work with the ‘right’ leader.
@@andyandalex Like Mussolini...and Kennedy" (heads explode) 😂😁
@Dilly Dilly
Interesting juxtaposition.
Great writing.
I was randomly obsessed with this song a few weeks ago and now here you are
This song became known to a very wide audience when it was adopted by WWE Wrestling superstar CM Punk as his entrance music.
They performed it live for his entrance at WrestleMania 29...epic!
I think it became most widely known from being played every 60 minutes on MTV for a couple months straight
GOOOOOOOOOD MORNING A&A FAMILY!!??
Great song! Great message
Vernon is phenomenal and very underrated.
“Type” is another great Living Color tune. They were popular for a few short years and should definitely be better known. Vernon Reid is such a potent guitarist!
"Type" is awesome.
Great reaction! So glad to hear that you heard what the song meant... And congrats on hitting 95k! 100k isn't far away...
"Open Letter to a Landlord' is also excellent from the same album.
Simple Minds : Hypnotized
Everlast : Put Your Lights On
The Cult : She Sells Sanctuary
Power Station: Get it On Bang a Gong
Personal opinion that Love Removal Machine is a better banger than Sanctuary, though all the reaction videos I've seen is for Sanctuary. Good song, but it really had that 80's guitar sound to it but LRM set them apart.
I’d dig some “Firewoman”!
@@ksglfr1 Another good song! I went back and listened to Electric, just great. Wildflower, Peace Dog. Rick Rubin really helped them put together a classic album.
She Sells Sanctuary absolutely
Rock didn't die in the 70's. Pop just keeps trying to burry it, but it keeps coming back.
And rap
JANE'S ADDICTION. JANE'S ADDICTION. JANE'S ADDICTION.
Three Days
Been caught stealin.

ONe of the bestest guitar riffs/solos of all time. nuff said.
Guys that whole album is sick! Start to finish.
No reaction channel holds a candle to Andy & Alex when it comes the breakdown. These dudes have honed their skills, and I can’t wait ‘till they delve into the music of my generation, gen X!
Bangers galore!
Another example of when it could be said “How have you not heard this?!” ...but I digress.......this was from the ‘80s....and you really need to see the video!
I am 65 and was mired in the Stoned , Zeppelin , Steppenwolf etc etc but this may be my all time favorite rock song !
This makes me happy. I was 18 when this came out and it’s cool to see a younger generation get this.
will calhoun is a vastly UNDERRATED JAZZ DRUMMER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to revisit Living Colour, "Time's Up" is even harder than this was.
yes as is Glamour Boys!
True that.
They were necessary to survival.
Great live.
"You gave me fortune
You gave me fame
You gave me power in your God's name"
Those lyrics are awesome.
BTW, this song came out in 1988.
I find myself looking forward to every new video you guys critique. I think you're observations are 99 percent dead on, which makes an old boomer like me happy.
When this song hit the airwaves on radio there was no conscious decision to turn up the volume for it was purely a reflexive movement. One of my favorite "in your face" type songs.
chainsaw jam. Pure heat.
You have so much great rock in the 80’s and 90’s. The Cult, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Janes Addiction, Audio Slave, Echo and the Bunnymen, early Smiths, etc.... blah blah
you have SO much to chew on boys 😎🤘🏻
People associate 80's hard rock as all Hair Metal but before grunge we had
1) Living Colour
2) Kings X
3) The Cult
4) Fishbone
5) Urban Dance Squad
6) Faith No More
7) Janes Addiction
All late 80's before Nirvana
I'll wait forever for Echo and The Bunnymen.
um,,,yeah, some Rage Against the Machine - "Killing in the Name" would be cool.
Before Rage was Urban Dance Squad. They did it first and helluva lot funkier.
Check, Grand Black Citizen, Son of A Culture Clash & Harvy Quinnt.
Killing in the Name is so repetitive.
@@misterkite Yeah, there are better RATM songs on all of their albums IMO.
@@misterkite But the message is powerful, and sadly more relevant today than ever.

Rage against the machine- know your enemy or wake up
Back in the 90s I was a huge fan of Living Colour and Rage Against the Machine. Vernon Reid and Tom Morello (RATM) were my favorite Guitar players. Saw them both live twice, also live they were excellent. Also react to “Love Rears it’s Ugly Head”. And RATM you need to check “Know Your Enemy”, “Bullet in the Head”, “Testify” and others🤘🏻
Before Rage, was Urban Dance Squad. They did it first and helluva lot funkier.

If not familiar you will aporeciate!
Let me know what you thought.
BTW UDS & Living Colour's debut albums came out in 88.
@@jgsrhythm100 hey man, good call. I know Urban Dance Squad all too well. They are from the Netherlands, same as me. Seen them perform in small venues when I was about 13 years old.
@@rubentullenaar2934 Hey, yes I saw them in France at the Midem conference. Ahead of their time.
They performed a fantastic production of this on Saturday Night Live way back then.
One of my favorite 90s songs. Glad you guys agreed.
Jane's Addiction, "Been Caught Stealing" is another great song from that era. 1990. Good video too.
Totally blown away when they performed this on SNL.
Velvet Revolver- Slither
Rage Against the Machine- Know Your Enemy
Audioslave- Cochise
Iron Maiden- 2 minutes to midnight
I didnt even have to "read more"😂great list!
I have LOVED this song since the first time I heard it. The louder, the better. Still own the vinyl.
Their live shows were amazing. Such a great band.
