Could you please tell me why Batocera keeps murdering my thumb drives and hard disks? About six months ago I put the Balenca Etcher utility on a 64gig thumb drive so I could prepare a hard drive to have Batocera installed. When I did that I found that the Balenca program reduced my thumb drive down from 64 gigs to about 6 gigs and even when I formatted the thumb drive I could not recover the 58gigs of space that had disappeared. And the drive I installed Batocera on was a 350 gig laptop drive that I formatted so it could be a dedicated Batocera drive. After Batocera 32 was installed on the 350gig laptop drive as the boot OS, I noticed that it was no longer 350gig and was now only 6gig. So small in fact that when tried to run the Batocer updater, it failed and said there was not enough space to do so. Now I thought I will install the latest version of Batocera so I formatted the hard disk which I have in an enclosure and am using as an external drive connected to my laptop via usb cable. But after I formatted the drive, it's still onlly 6gb. I tried to revormat in all formats but it's still at only 6gb so I've lost 58gb of space on my thumb drive and now I've just lost 344gb of space off my hard drive. What is causing this, how can I reverse it and how can I avoid it when doing it again?
Batocera creates an OS partition and a storage partition, best I can tell. Use a partition manager to delete the partitions, then create a new one for the total space, and format the healthy partition.
I reformatted the drive and now it's dead. The computer can't even see it exists when I plug it in. I used the windows command prompt to try to fix it. CP can see it but I can't reformat or partition it and the computer still can't see it. I'm going to try to use Rufus to fix it. Balenca Etche is disk cancer. Loads of people online have the same issue where it destroys multiple brand new thumb drives and Balenca site blames the drives and refuses to admit it.@@ReidSartin

Thanks. Should have translate option somewhere. Mine translated automatically.
Download didn't work for me
The only thing i dont like aboue v38 is all the text in the F1 menu's are so small and it broke my buit when I done the update
The link in your description is different than what you did in the video. I didn't trust it cause I see other people having trouble with the subscribe thing. I am subscribed to you, but I don't want to click the subscribe in the link lol. I used the link that you have in the video and got the files from the day you did it.
Thanks man
Bios link is pretty sketchy. Requires subscription and tons of pop ups. Even after waiting the 120 minutes 3 separate times, the file never download and leads me to an expired link page.
You have to subscribe to unlock it but then you should have full access. I just checked it and it works.
I tried it a few times and was able to get it. Still not getting wii gamecube etc to show up as console options, but pretty sure thats something I am doing wrong. Thanks again!@@OfficialChaseBrogan

The link is expired
yeah great thanks for putting drm on your link
Check again
Thanks for not posting a link, like some ultra-douchebags do, with links forcing you to do this and do that before giving the link. I despise people like that. If you're gonna share then just SHARE with a simple link like you did....
Bravo.
Is a VPN necessary?
Messed mine up, made the sound on every system stutter
Cant wait. Having bios issues on my retrobat install.
I think there's a version on the same site for retrobat

Why does it take this man 7 minutes to say "Download the file and extract it to a flash drive"?
Did you get into a fight with somebody arguing whether Batocera or retropi was better? 😜
Lmao nah nobody saying retropie is better . Birthmark but I like your story better than the real one

@@OfficialChaseBrogan dude look in comment section what ever it is I looks sketchy it's not just me it asked me to subscribe and still didn't straight up look like a virus man all I'm saying good tutorial just looks sketch
yeah if u dont pay it takes about 2 hours to download... nice money bait
Nooo
Stop with the show more options copy/paste! The three icons at the top of the right click menu are Cut, Copy, Paste. Save the clicks
Ctrl a Ctrl c Ctrl z is what I use daily but I do the videos for those that are a bit more entry level with computers.
I was literally just saying that to a friend a couple days ago. Like control c and control v is sufficient, but he went the long way around when the buttons were at the very top of the menu. Lol judging by his response to you, I don't think he understood what you meant.
That pack is terrible, double bios, even fake ones. Too much crap in it.
At least it boots
Taking long time to download
Try pausing it then resuming it
