    Brother Jared…during the Chicago Bulls dynasty, whenever Michael Jordan announced that he was not well before a game, the other members knew that he would then provide an amazing performance during the game. To me, this lesson has been one of your best💪. And I’ve been following you for Four years now. We are so blessed by your faithful diligence to help expand the Lords truth…. I was worried about you, and put your name on the Temple prayer roll😇👍. Hope you’re feeling well soon brother❤️. David

    I started to wonder what happened, I am thankful all is well, and we are back to business with these lessons. Bless you always. I am so sorry you have been ill, you will get better soon.
    And the mention of Mormon how the spirit is not there, that we struggle by ourselves since we didn't want the spirit. You are so right. I often think about it. When Mormon didn't want to lead anymore, honestly, I could not continue without the spirit guiding me. I hold on for dear life. It blows my mind when people will not humble themselves and just say, "You know what my idea is not working. I am going to repent and ask Heavenly Father to help me.

      Thank you for your statement of wisdom. You are absolutely right. When you have the spirit it's much easier to swim through these shark infested waters of the world. It's all about having the Peace of Mind and heart when all of the struggling begins. It seems to be so much easier when you have grabbed the Lord's yoke, then you can let the Lord lead the way into the greener pastures of life.

    Such a great and remarkable video. I enjoy how you explain the scriptures and take them apart to help us learn. I appreciate the time that you take to teach us the words of Nephi and Isaiah through the Book Of Mormon. It just goes to show that there is more to come when the Lord returns. I have always wondered what it will be like when we learn from our Heavenly Father about the way the world was made, and eventually learn how to create a world. Oh, how I hope I am worthy of the Celestial Glory. I know that we have a lot more to learn, and we will continue to learn events throughout the millennium. It makes me excited to think that we as children of God have a brighter future ahead. We truly only have the basics and once we are given the opportunity to learn more I would imagine that we will be blown away.

I keep thinking about it, and about being "easy to get along with" :-). The door welcoming back the less active can't b accessed if they've pulled it shut and locked it . Because....... we were too obtuse to ease up on the throttle........ and experience their Humanity.

    I can't help but think that the "many churches" could refer to colleges and universities and that the "flaxen cord" could refer to the world wide web. It brings people together, binds them together, and then, depending on the source of the cord, either draws them down or raises them up.

    Great episode. It’s interesting that Nephi mentioned to not commit “whoredoms”, among the list of commandments to keep in 2 Ne: 26:32. In Jacob 2&3, where Jacob gives his sermon and highlights certain commandments and sins, he defines whoredoms and abominations as polygamy and even references Lehi, saying that the law to only have one wife dates back to the commandments that the Lord gave Lehi. “Whoredoms” is defined as polygamy throughout the Book of Mormon. As a side note on the topic of polygamy/whoredoms, I also noticed that Jacob 2:22-24 directly contradicts D&C 132:1. Which scripture is one to believe? Joseph said the Book of Mormon is the “most correct book” and so I will trust that that applies here.

  • @rayellison-kn4ym
    @rayellison-kn4ym 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Maybe 2 Nephi 26:31 applies to much more than priestcraft. For me it applies to all of us who labor. Do we labor for Zion or for money and recognition? Do we labor for big houses, cars etc. or is our goal to build up Zion? I’m retired now but sadly I think many times I failed to labor for Zion.

    Hello Bro Halverson! I have a question that's always confused me about who the gentiles are. Are we, the church, considered gentiles? But aren't most of us from the tribe of Ephraim? so we wouldn't be considered "gentiles" in the scriptures? Or are we gentiles that are adopted into the house of Israel? It gets a bit confusing. Someone at Stake Conference called us all gentiles, and it totally confused me. Lol. Hope you can help!

    • @charming-witsassy-sarcasm5621
      @charming-witsassy-sarcasm5621 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's definitely confusing! My understanding is that we are all gentiles unless genetically a direct descendant of Jacob whose name was changed to Israel. However, at the same time we can be adopted into the tribe of Ephraim when we are baptized into the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Our adoption brings us into the house of Israel and we are no longer gentiles. Keep in mind, this is only my limited understanding. I recommend you (we all) keep asking and learning anything you desire to learn more of!

      @charming-witsassy-sarcasm5621 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wow! I just started reading 2 Nephi 30 and the answer is right there! The chapter summary and verses 1 and 2. God is so good to provide us with answers to questions we have and I'd be willing to guess that there are more scriptures which answer this same question.

  • @tony-fromthenorth3272
    @tony-fromthenorth3272 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I am reading the Book of Mormon online.
    2 Nephi 26:3 says, "And after the Messiah shall come there shall be signs
    given unto my people of his birth, and also of his death and resurrection;
    and great and terrible shall that day be unto the wicked, for they shall
    perish; and they perish because they cast out the prophets, and the saints,
    and stone them, and slay them; wherefore the cry of the blood of the saints
    shall ascend up to God from the ground against them".
    "Signs" [3a] links back to 1 Nephi 12:4-6, a reference to the 3 days of
    darkness that was a sign of his death. 1 Nephi 19:10 also mentions this
    sign of his death.
    But what was the sign of the resurrection?

    • @charming-witsassy-sarcasm5621
      @charming-witsassy-sarcasm5621 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the sign of Christ's resurrection was the saints rising from the dead Matthew 27:52 for the Jews and the prophecy by Samuel in Helaman 14:25 with Christ referencing it's fulfillment as found in 3rd Nephi 23:9 for the Nephite people.

    • @tony-fromthenorth3272
      @tony-fromthenorth3272 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@charming-witsassy-sarcasm5621 Thank you. I read the passages you mentioned.
      I found it odd that while Nephi would record him raising his brother from
      the dead (3 Nephi 17:9), the destruction of all those cities at the time
      of Christ's crucifixion (3 Nephi 8 and 9), and that none of the Nephites
      (including him) truly believed earlier teachings about Jesus until after
      they had all gone forth to touch him (3 Nephi 11:13-16), he did not record
      the saints rising from the dead and ministering to them.
      I found a modern day scenario to fit 3 Nephi 23:12. Imagine your friend
      telling you that she doesn't see pictures of your wedding in any of the
      photo albums you are showing her and then you respond with, "You're right.
      I just remembered that I didn't take any wedding photos".
      Another strange occurrence is Jesus blaming all the disciples for failing
      to mention this event when only Nephi was responsible for recording it on
      the plates.

    2 Ne 26:25 "buy milk and honey without money and without price" It is like a scholarship to university. You don't pay for it. It was paid for by someone else, but you do have to qualify to receive it. It's not something that you can earn, but it is a gift that you can receive upon compliance with the right conditions. Jesus earned it and paid for it with His blood, and it is His Grace that offers it to us when we come to Him and accept Him as our God and keep His commandments.

    I enjoy your videos. But I don’t watch them because your videos are too long. You need to be more concise. I want to listen to as many of the TH-cam and podcast videos as possible, to hear what Hod has said to them. Listening to 4-6+ hours of your views would take away that aim. If you meet your shorter video goals I would listen to them. As of now I don’t.

I stopped listening in January because one lesson had two parts of 1 hour and 45 minutes each (3 1/2 hours total). I just tried to start again and this week's lesson has two parts ~ over 2 hours on the first and over 1 hour and 39 minutes on the second (over 3 1/2 hours total). I love your insights! However, I don't have the time to listen to what you are doing. In fact, I'm not sure I can trust you, because I am not seeing any effort to keep your presentations to an hour ~ even when you are sick. I do hope you get better soon. Goodbye ....
