- Fiat Punto Evo Bi-xenon projector retrofit with our new Q5-R Mini D2S 3.0 Bi-xenon projectors.

0:05 Heat the headlight to soften the sealant, we use a 1600Watt heatgun for 15 minutes
0:12 Open the headlight
0:28 Remove bulb caps and clip
0:27 Drill a hole for the Bi-xenon wiring
0:50 We had to paint the reflector so sanded it a bit with scotch
1:05 Put the rubber ring on
1:10 Remove solenoid plug
1:20 Guide wires through hole
1:30 H4 adapter and tighten nut using pliers
1:50 reconnecto solenoid plug
1:56 Place shroud
2:04 Remove al dust and fingerprints and put the lens back on
2:12 Heat the headlight again to soften the sealent and close up the headlight
2:55 Low beam compared to halogen and xenon, huge difference in light output

Retrofitting refers to the addition of new technology or features to older systems. These days there are a lot of people who put a simple plug & play xenon kit in their halogen headlight housing in an attempt to improve night vision and looks of their vehicle. In fact they don’t realize that their headlight beams are often worse than before. Night vision achieves relatively little improvement on night vision because of a poor beam pattern, which increases the blinding of other road users. This is because their headlight housings are designed for halogen and not xenon.
A true Bi-Xenon projector update is now possible for your car. Such an upgrade will significantly improve your light output from 700-2100 lumens to 2800 and 3500 lumens, without blinding other traffic with glare from your headlight. Upgrade your headlight OEM style!
The latest high power Led bulbs will upgrade both the exterior and interior lighting system of your car. Led lighting is becoming more and more popular in the automotive market for obvious reasons. They have longer lifetime, use less energy and improve safety with their fast response time.

Yesterday I did the same on my GP headlights,mine are Valeo and i took me 90 minutes per headlight to open it,I did the same thing as in video but had to heat it over and over because the permaseal is difficult to open but it can be done .... for quick opening of the headlights I would recomend Depo headlights as the ones in the video (much easier to open) but at a loss of a 100 euros for the set (I didn't want to shell out another 100 euros) ... Instalation of the projectors went ok,Valeo has slightly different bulb seat than Depo so with Valeo expect a little fiddling but it will be ok,everything went well.
After everything is installed and mounted on the car check your headlight leveling and set it to lowest setting and you are ready to go.
I use: 3' D2S projector,6000k bixenon,Apollo shroud .... the same as in this video.

Does the H4 adapter make the rotation of the projector easier during install or do you still need to manually adjust rotation before tightening the locking nut? Thanks :)

Does Q5-R refer to the projector or the car? I can see you get your products from TRS or the same vendor as TRS, but never heard of Q5-R.
Do you know if any of the BiXenon projectors are "bolt on" compatible to a Hella H7 equipped 2008 Passat? Like the H55 Mercedes R installation, you uploaded, where you can reuse mounting holes, and thus retain leveling function.

I watch your video and have question not related to the mod itself but the 2 screw you remove, the ones with hold the bulb spring.
Mine fall off and I want to mount it but I am not sure if the screw holds the reflector inside or not. I don't want to remove the lamp from the car as it requires unscrewing bumper

In this case we used a D2S projector so a D2S or D2H bulb can be used :) If you own a H1 projector than a H1 xenon bulb will be the best option!

dá sim amigo, mas pra usar esse farol precisa usar lampada H1.. precisa comprar um chicote para adaptar H4 em H1... estou fazendo no meu punto 2012...

Because we aimed the projectors while they were in the car without the glass front so we could adjust it a bit when the headlight was in the car.

We use a setting of 300 Degrees Celsius for 12-18 minutes / 1st lowest setting, depending on the size of the headlight. Make sure that the hot air of the heatgun does not blow directly to the headlight, place the headlight on small elevations so that the air can circulate properly through the box.

Looking great, I'm on the fence of ordering a kit. I have a 2015 fiat punto myself. But do you loose the ability to signal with your high beam when the low beam isn't turned on (it's a H4 Hi/lo halogen combination now) also do you loose your parking lights (stadslicht)??
Yes, because the high beam / bi-xenon mechanism in projectors works via a shield that is opened, so without light, nothing is happening with the light. The xenon will usually startup, but because of the start-up time, it isn't directly on. When this is a big concern, you could opt for LED bulbs, but that's not ideal for light output and pattern. The parking light is behind the shroud, some mount it on a different place, or a angel eye can be mounted on or in the shroud :-)

What paint you use for this headlight?
For a good result without professional spray paint materialen, we have used just normal spray paint from a rattle can, heat resistant spray paint often has a nice matte black look.

@@wordsofwisdom5467 Hard to say, we have not tried a plasti-dip type product inside a headight...so really can't tell for sure...

2:59 - oryginał świeci znaaaaaaacznie lepiej, więc modyfikacja całkowicie nieudana. Co z tego, że punktowo soczewka daje mocniejsze światło, kiedy jest go sumarycznie mniej? Na dodatek świeci nie tam, gdzie go potrzeba? Gdzie sens? Chyba tylko w oślepianiu innych. Jak zakładacie soczewki, to przynajmniej dobrej klasy, a nie jakiś chiński szajs, albo inne Depo, które można do kosza wyrzucić- nowe depo świeci gorzej, niż stare valeo.
