You mentioned that this builder is only a spec builder? Can you elaborate on that? Can you not pick the lot and specific home you want built?

Hello - sure, spec home basically means what you see is what you get. They plan out what models on what lots will be coming and what goes in them. You do not get to change anything. The good thing is sometimes that have the model hone you want available soon on lots that either back up to water, woods or other homes. Most homes are released around when they get cabinets and are done within 1 to 3 months.
Four seasons in cane bay is another builder that offers some specs but will be opening up land soon to build from ground up too. Be sure to check out our video on that community too. Pricing is a bit higher in four seasons but one spec home just dropped to $399k there.

My wife and I were looking to retire at this neighborhood.
Do you have any information about when the amenity center is going to start being built. I know it’s the main selling point but I’ve heaing it might not happen? Any suggestions for 55+ communities that have inventory and a center as that is big investment to purchase and not get what they advertised. We have seen the comments about Publix “going” to come and that was 5 years ago. We’re not at an age we can wait 5 years for a center.

We have recently seen progress out there. For the amenity center they finished their soil compaction test and have paved some areas and put plumbing lines in. The most recent update we have received is mid to late 2025 for when it’ll be opening. As for the Publix, I think they’re just waiting until there’s enough in the area to support it but there are a couple grocery stores within about 10 minutes of there. We do have four other neighborhoods with very very nice amenity centers that are already open and available. Would you like to schedule a zoom call or a phone call with us to talk about it?
