a few days ago I used another alien invasion mod, the zombie apocalypse mod, an eldia mod, and the gigachad leader, I also buff all major nations to get fairer, I'm playing with the reunited nationalist China with the gigachad leader. I've already arrived in 1947 and the war is still rolling full steam ahead in semi-historical (only the majors are on historical focuses)

well if they don't care about exploiting the surface that's a way to do it i guess
By the point you have interstellar travel you really dont care about habitable planets anymore, you just build an endless amount of spingrav habitats. Way cheaper, no terraforming required, very scalable, perfectly habitable and so on.

I was saying if they want to get the ressources on the surface, sending a lot of "nuclear bomb" wouldn't help

Well in Stellaris (a Game from the same company) You can do this, to invade the Earth while they are in the WWII, and this is one of the hardest achieviments of that Game

@@GameWatcher545 nice little name change :) then I will point out the fact that if such a heavy bombing campaign was used, they probably wouldn't go for a ground invasion. Specifically because of how the bombs were used

Well....actually it would depend on 2 things
1 - numbers
2 - tech difference
I mean, if a big ass alien fleet arives...its just a fleet ,right? There will be ten-twenty-hundred thousand of them...And thats it.
If they dont have a huge tech advantage which makes all human weaponry ZERO efficiency , well then at some point they will lose the invaison. Numbers matter
Its like WW2 , when Germany didnt get numbers and lost being overhelmed.
So...Dont know.
There are still sceary scenarios , like Aliens building teleport system to bring it more of thiers, or like spreading mortal virus to drasticly reduce number of humans they have to deal with on the ground.
But , again , if aliens do not have numbers and our weaponry can kill thel , its a matter of millions of lifes, but humans will win at some point. But its not even the worse for aliens - humans are GOOD at killing and copying even better tech for killing. Thats one thing during whole history humans perfected - killing. And so , at some point humans will copy their tech , go to space and at some point may even reach thier worlds...
If you come to conquer Earth - better exerminate all humans from the start, or you will open the pandora box, of very agressive and destructive species.
To think off...thats may be a reasons why any reasonable peacefull aliens dont want to contact such an agressive form of life.
it's like Spanish vs the Incas but difference being x1000** greater. If they had the power and tech to drag their ass to Earth for an invasion, they can wipe the planet with a button. God knows what kind of weaponry they'd head for an actual ground invasion (if they were feeling fancy to do it)

Like I allways say if alien would have wanted us to die or conquer us there was like 20 000 years where they wouldnt have any resistance so why the fuck should they attack now or anywhere in the future xD
