Cracking session!!! Well in!!! Only wish you'd shown how you tie your shock leaders on to your mainline and down the reel, the reasoning why in a bit more detail. There's a lot of younger anglers coming up who haven't a clue about more advanced leaders etc. Otherwise great vid. 👍
Great vlog and a fantastic session, well done on the beast of Brasenose Tom, I like the look of the orange line but would this be ok to use if you never had a dark leader and fished it right through to the lead or would this spook the fish?
Su guys, i recently bought a set of 1200xc's, for this setup i Will probably need thé shallow spool since we're using briad, but how much meters of braid get on these spools? Because i van order ether 300m or 600m . Thanks
Not knocking his ability (we know that he hauls on that place) but he is in a hugely privileged position and fishes the place every week. Hardly a surprise
This is a tricky one as there are always so many variables when it comes to this. That said, a good basis to work from is take 1 foot off the spod rod for every 3 foot of water.
I fish in one small lake with big carps and i only use 0.42 daiwa monofil orange without shock leader and i dont have problem with cathing carps.just 0.42 mm orange with 100grams and 15 cm fox camo braid 25lbs with a fox hook 4.if you dont believe me when youll be again in Croatia ill be happy to show you
after a session like this how do you keep the stamina with fishing ..when ever i have good sessionof even a few near 30's i feel reallly fulfilled ..youve gone and rinsed qll the bigguns so what is next on the horizon from here i wonder 😛😛
He practically lives on linier tho and he is breaking the rules lol, he never had a spomb float on his spomb, he should know better if that was some average angler they would be kicked off

Got really sick of reading the jealous comments on here. I know Tom turned up on his syndicate water recently at 3 am……how many of you jealous anglers would do that at this time of the year…..not many I’ll wager. Lots of people do blank on Linear so if you think your up to the challenge why don’t some of you go up there and make your own video and give us all a laugh.
Every video is the same Tom at linear picking the rods up 10 years later same video different day .. same rigs some spots same bait 😂.. watch mr hean proper bit of fishing a story that takes u in hunting and putting the pieces together to finally tame a rare big un.. or linear how many wraps bud just spod to a spot fill it in and wait for a pig to fight over your rig 😅
Agreed. These easy off the shelf Simmo day ticket waters are spoiling big carp fishing. Get in your big gravel swim and wade through pigs that were bred, fed and stocked for the purpose of being caught over and over and over. As soulless as it gets
I can remember watching the same video 5 years ago Tom on braisnose spodding every year it’s the same video .. no hunting and using water craft let’s just spod tons of bait in and watch these these pets get caught for the 100th time this year … I use to really rate these anglers when I was a kid now I just see one trick poneys iv not seen nothing that blows me away maybe distance fishing is the only trick up his sleeve .. not slagging him of but understand linear is a runs wanter nothing less .. why not try and tame 1 40 in 50 acre or a uncaught 30 or bigger from a unknown wild pit we’re they have never seen a hook or bait

Bit of a shame that your swim is in fishable as a solo angler and was coned of for you before you turned up, commercial sales tactics. Easy when it’s prepped for ya.
Yeah it's all good and well but nobody can get in that swim tom can they and they also can't afford the £35 24hrs ticket price golden ticket and a full time angler.. lads we can all do it if you have the recipe
It is true that anybody could do what Tom does if they put decades of ultimate dedication and sacrifice to be in the position he is. Tom arrived on the gate first in the middle of the night to ensure he got that swim. Anyone can do it but not everyone has the will power 👍
@@Simmsited236 no they are not, what we are saying is Tom has worked incredibly hard to be in the position he is. This gives him the time and flexibility to get him where he needs to be and when. But he didn’t just wake up like that. For a long time he was an Electrician by trade but put more time into his fishing outside of that job. @@fox_international not denying that, but...the title of the video is that you can't believe that he caught it! That isnt knocking tom specifically though. He catches loads so it was bound to slip up eventually, but the circumstances in which he fishes mean that it isnt really the achievement that you make it out to be People are wising up to it

What shock leader material is used on the main fishing rods and how is it attached either end to main line and the submerge leader?
Do you use the orange line right to the rig? I think can see some kind of leader but you didn't mention anything 🤔

True about the line. I use 15 pound test yellow line. With a camo leader. The line never spooked a fish
