Hey beautiful people! I had to split this video into 2 parts or else it would have been a bit too long lol So keep an eye out for another video tomorrow where we investigate the condition of the 1st floor :) Love ya xoxo
Oh, dear. XD Sorry Ryan for misbehavior, but I've just seen the title popping up and for some reason I've only read Revealing the true size of my 15...Was gonna get the pop corns, but then I saw the rest of it. I'm watching it anyways. The struggle is real. XO Sorry, mate. :P
Is there anything that Nick Moon cannot do?!! From antique organ rebuilding to house demolition to car repairs! What a wonderful talented friend! Keep up the good work fellas!
Apparently, Nick can’t make a toilet seat even though he can make everything else. 🤣 Do any of the antique stores or thrift stores have toilet seats if you know the make and model of your toilet? - OR - put a new toilet in that already has a seat. Last ditch idea, are there any plans online for woodworking toilet seats to code? What about Mike? Mike can make everything! If he can’t make it himself, he knows somebody who can. Besides? He kind of owes you for the tiles, right? Maybe, you should add that to your fundraising options - instead of buying you a coffee, they can buy you a toilet seat. 🎉🎉🎉
Good gosh, Nick is a well rounded handyman with a sense of humor: horses, machinery, and renovations are all in his skillset. You’re learning from the best, Ryan.
YES, that is expensive for a toilet seat. You used to be able to buy them for $10. Plain white, but I don't think your bum would care. And white goes with every decor.
The 10€ ones are just plastic and break. But yes, I was also surprised by the price when I had to get my first one. Now I have a designer one which is 100€ 😂
That is one expensive poop. That is equivalent to about $80 AUD (Australian dollars) No wonder they call it the throne. Loving these videos Ryan, with and without Nick. This is invaluable experience. Let's go!!!
Love Daddy Moon & his mad skills! Yes-way too expensive ! You can get a soft close lid toilet seat for much less here in the US. But mailing things to Europe is a killer sorry! Time to price it out online as he said! Gotta love sharing skills with friends-makes everyone’s life better doesn’t it? Good luck on your Reno Ryan!
Hey Ryan, so sorry to see Nick go, but he has left you with good tools to use. He is only a phone call away as is Billy, if you need help. Ryan, I say this with pride and love, this is like watching our Ryan grow up. I mean being a homeowner and getting into the thick of it. Be very proud of yourself, and remember, we are here to cheer you on and wish you nothing but the best. Love from N.Y.
Focusing on Nick's piercing blue eyes, and they are filled with determination. Ryan, you have found an extremely competent friend in Nick. He is very intuitive. The few words he speaks tell me he has already sized up the tasks at hand for today. A plan of action is set in his mind. Cheers Nick!! And yes, Ryan, your technical savvy and support helped boost the Moon Family YT presence and in turn, that benefits The Legends. True to form, Nick gives you credit where credit is due!! Looking forward to part two!! 🙂 Chuck in Northern New England
Hi Ryan. This might sound silly but not all toilet bowls are the same shape. Weird that, as all ar*e holes are the same 😂 When I had to buy a new one, I laid a bit of paper over the bowl and drew around it. Then I took the paper pattern to B&Q and only two seats would fit the loo! The others would have wobbled and make you feel like you'd fall down the hole! Love ya ❤
I was just thinking about you, and voila, there you are! Things are getting quite interesting now that the biggest demo is done. It does take a lot of planning to make this renovation a success. Nick will be missed, he’s a jack of all trades. He won’t steer you wrong Ryan if you follow his plan. Yes, that does seem steep for a toilet seat, but consider how often it will be sat on! Hope all goes well this week, I wish we could give you a hand!❤️❤️❤️
In the US, they only count the living space in the square footage. Hallways count, but basement, attic, and garage doesn't count. Also, to be counted as a bedroom, there must be a built in closet. Otherwise it is an office, den, dining room, **x dungeon, etc.
Also to be a basement bedroom you have to have two ways to escape a fire. Also utility room with gas has to have specially rated enclosure to avoid carbon monoxide deaths.
Problem with that is that even the $40 ones are made poorly AKA expand unevenly when on a toilet that is not used often enough to prevent evaporation. I’ll never buy a $40 one again so I have to go one way or the other… or remove the toilet seat every time I come or go!
European prices, wages, taxes and benefits are not equivalent to US prices, wages, taxes and benefits do people not understand that? Let Europeans tell you how much it costs them to have a baby and we’ll compare, shall we? 😂😂😂😂😂
Barn doors for closing the bedrooms off on each floor would work perfectly. And yes, toilet seats are expensive no matter where you live.....why? because they know we all need them, that's why!😅 The house will be lovely, Ryan. Oh and I am so glad Nick fixed your car!
Nick is needed at home. There is so much to do there and a wife and 4 young men missing him. Time to see how adept Ryan is on renovations! Good luck!!!
Hi Ryan, have you thought about moving the walls between bedroom and en-suite and making a bigger bedroom on each floor.? You are stripping back completely so have a think about room sizes. We made a mistake on our bathroom left it too large. Don’t want you to regret plans you can resolve now. Keep up the great work 😊
Between the organ, Ryan's house and what he does for his family and the legends I've come to the conclusion that we all need a Daddy Moon in our lives.
You could always do sliding barn door as walls for privacy. They don't have to be wood, they can be glass, filigree, frosted roofing panels, old dressing screens, anything.
First of all, you and Nick are the perfect pair for a comedic video as you get things done together! I am so glad that Nick is able to get you started on your home Ryan! The two of you certainly can crack on!
Hi Ryan and Nick. Nick it will be sad not seeing you here with Ryan but will see you on your channel as I do on all postings. Thank you for fixing Ryan’s car. So glad you’ve been able to get Ryan on the right path. Great seeing you Ryan, you’ve been missed. Good luck on getting your Reno going well. Love ya! See your next one soon.❤❤❤
Love how everyone helps everyone! 60 Euros…ouch! A toilet seat at Lowe’s in Wichita, Kansas, USA, a home improvement store), starts around $10.00 and goes to over a $100.00. Some can be ordered on line, others are in the store. Amazon USA, had a seat for $15.00 and a fancy heated one for over $350.00! Shipping is free if you order on line and pick up in the store or if you have Amazon Prime it’s free and sometimes they have a free pick up place, otherwise add shipping. Love the Moons! Watch for them everyday! Ryan, you are slowly getting there! A lot of cleaning out to do first! Cannot wait for your next video!
I think payed 30dollars for my toilet seat. I hope you find one soon. Nick fixed your car. Wow. Is there anything he can't do. He is a marvel. You are lucky to have him as a good friend. I wish you luck on your construction job on your house. I am sure it will turn out great. Love the building Very French
Ryan, I don't know where you found that "Lidz" beanie (hat), but it cracks me up every time I see you wearing it. It just starts a curious story in my head where you bought it new and have treasured it for years (even though it's probably just a thrifty find to keep your head warn) lol! Really excited to see you taking on this venture and really glad you've got an awesome guy like Nick backing you up. This is certainly not a typical U.S. "Fix n' Flip". Billy makes renovations of incredibly old structures look easy-ish on camera, but I know it's far from that, and I think you're brave and awesome for taking on the challenge!
It will be a dazzling place. Excited to see it develop and grow. I predict a major number of loo seats arriving very soon. No use asking people not to send them. Maybe you could open a loo seat museum?! 🤣👍
Ryan - love seeing your progress! You might want to rethink the Stairs open floor bedroom idea. People will always want their privacy. Thinking of resale, it will sell better with private bedrooms. I get what you are trying to accomplish. Just thinking down the road.
Oh that’s so sad for you that Nick’s going. I’m sure he will be your Advisor throughout the build along with other mates re: Billy, and what a wonderful person to have around. He’s so skilled in many things.
I love you two together, you are hilarious, and doing great work as well. Don't stay away too long Nick . Also loving the magical Moons, I think what you and your family are doing is wonderful🐎🐕🐱🐓🦃🚽🤪😁🥰
Where you have knock the wall down under the stairs, could you make it in a storage. You could have pull out drawers, or ate the highest point a wardrobe on sliders.
What no Nick & Ryan tea break today 🤗👍☕🍰🍰☕😂😂😂going to miss Nick as well 😥 oh well just have to pop back on to the Moon's channel it's Magical🎇 has Billy got any spare toilet 🚽 seats at the convent 🤔 just a thought🤔 Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
Just keep being positive, Nick will be back soon to help you and all the things are gonna be put together before you know you’ll have a nice home to move into and be proud of. Bye for now Rosemary.🌹
This was another fun one, Ryan. I am hoping if we badger him enough Nick will come back soonish? First the joists, then the noggins. You are well on the way now. 🧡
I’m a Realtor in the States and you can’t sell a house without knowing the square footage. The price is based on that, though negotiable. The buyers bank sends an appraiser out and they check the square footage for accuracy too. Also, we can only count the rooms that have heating and cooling. So if you close in a porch or garage to use as living space but do not install HV/AC then you cannot count it in the square footage. By the way, Ryan’s house will be about 1,291 square feet. Not too bad for a townhouse and especially one that started off much smaller! Congratulations!
You could ask Billy whether he has a toilet seat to spare (from the convent), and any windows, doors and washbasins (because he has plenty). Also, I remember Billy mentioning that there were some hollow sounding walls (en-suite room, between wall n fireplace), may be worth investigating. I hope you included the cupboards at the end of the ensuite when calculating how much floorboards you will need. You have a backing of good builders to ask for help from, when you need to take care of joists (taking down n putting up new ones). You could ask Simon (if Nick is not available). I think putting up joists are more than a one man job.
No walls on bedrooms??? Walking through bedrooms? You're thinking like a single person with no sex life. The stairwell will be like a megaphone carrying sound. Will be great to see the progress! Thanks for sharing!
Nice size house! Our basement is far from being counted as living space and what yours is just a bit shy of our countable living space, perfect for a starter home for sure! Love seeing the progress and you two helping each other is great to see. As for the toilet seat, yikes! Hope you found something a lot cheaper online.
Another great video from the 'brothers' 😁 Thats a fair size for a wee house, would never have thought it was 120 m2. Surely theres a Leroy or Castorama near you and just buy the cheapest one in the shop. €9 for one of the cheapest. Might not be the best places to spend your cash but needs must in this case, dont want to be sitting on a cold toilet pan if the need takes! Or theres FB marketplace, we know how the French refuse to throw anything out that they can get a € for. I would leave the door for the first floor bedroom and open up the second floor, so much noise coming up the stair would drive me mental and noise from the bedrooms travelling. Looking forward to the next vid.
Sounds like some great ideas to expand the room in your house and make it more livable for you. You are keeping a couple of bedrooms which is good, you might get married one day and have children. Anything is possible. Have a great day
Loved this video. I laughed, though most of it. Well done! On a professional note, I would like for you to reconsider "the open floor plan for your bedrooms." You are young and (at the moment)single. Always build knowing that at some point you shall sell. I have watched so many clients devalue a property by not thinking a little long-term. As always, I am looking forward to your upcoming videos.
Ryan, you're as funny as always. I got home from work just now and I saw your new video posted. They always make my day, so thank you for that and for your great sense of humor. Even though it's not my house, I'm so excited for each step of the renovation. You and Nick are so blessed to have each other as friends. I'm looking forward to seeing tomorrow's video.
walmart near me has a wooden toilet seat for 7.98 us dollars with tax would cost me 8.78 us dollars lol they have huge selection, also have a night glow seat and lid for 22.74 plus tax. My question is do your seats have gold trim? lol
Had the same sticker shock when mine broke. All I wanted was a comfy place to park my bum, but $60!! 😱 Found creaking plastic job for under $50, but I swear these things were only $16 before the plague 😤
I'll be looking forward to a "loo review" once the ensuite is done to see if you've splurged on the expensive or have chosen the inexpensive seat lol. You're off to a great start on home ownership. Always glad to see your videos.
Temperature control of the bedroom.. deffo need a curtain for winter.. floor to ceiling full room length.. you think toilet seat the curtains will cost you. €ks each room plus poles and fixings .. Draw out first ..be prepared to re think or modify for your lifestyle and how to use house ...IE energy costs are a factor to include in your design.. time to use commonsense with imagination to com up with design that you are happy and is livable
I’m always happy to see you/your videos!! I can see the friendship you have with Nick Moon is natural, supportive, and full of trust and fun! I hope he can help you as his time permits!! Sending you (both) “high fives” and much respect!!!
Consider steel, metal, aluminum and studs made from same material or treated milled wood from a sawmill can cost less than buying from a store. Before you dig know where or if there are buried electrical cables, gas lines and drainage pipes (City Halls usually know this) Home plans of your space to review for all of these. New materials on the market instead of wood so as not to deal with wood worm, etc. Know your budget, square footage and utilities for it Gas? Electric? ,etc. Some stores can plan your space for materials and work with you on budget to provide all when needed at a discount usually. Knowing how to barter helps. Safely means not puncturing a gas line, or falling downstairs from rotten wood. Cheaply can mean afforded. Find a local builder to do it all on budget including labor and have the job done then just move in. Your choice! Make a plan on paper with them there. Anyhow had to add this because Nick is leaving and I do not want Ryan to blow his house up should he dig and puncture a gas line or electrocute after hitting an electrical conduit. Some things have to be explained to not DIY! Later! SERIOUSLY!😮
Just got back from a late social event Ryan and your video was the frist thing I saw upon my return home. So nice to see you again in such a lovely and jolly light. Your house will become a home before you know it.
To me, those stairway landings look like passing areas, and, conversation areas, that wouldn’t bother anyone inside the bedrooms, themselves. If you have any family visiting or living with you, or future buyers, that is a huge limitation.
Ryan and Nick, I'm so glad someone else was doing all the maths. It was right over my head. Good to see the wood bits are going to be gone. See ya tomorrow. Cheers
Removing the wall between the bedrooms and landing might be fine for a single person or couple, but if you even want guests to stay on the other floor, you'll want a wall and a door for both visual and auditory privacy.
In 1950, my grandfather built a new house for his family.Back then it was still quite common to have an outhouse. One day he called me over, had me sit on a 12" wide board, and drew a circle around my butt. Being only four at the time, he knew I would fall right through the adult size hole. He even lowered the level so I could sit comfortably with my feet flat on the floor. He even bragged to the neighbors that "we had a two & a half-holer!" AND that is how you make a toilet seat...simple enough, even you Ryan can do that.
you sure have a good friend. its nice when we can share our skills with others, and yes, that is crazy high. i dont know if you have a type of restore where you live, but you can get a lot of materials to build with on the very cheap.also you could put double french doors on each bedroom and leave them open, then you can shut them if you need privicy. that would look awesome
Awww Nick please dont be a stranger please come back sooner than later yah... I know your a busy man! With your beautiful farm and family 🥰👍🐎🐴🦓🦄... And Hello VIEWERS please Subscribe 🤝 Its completely free for you" But this will help Ryan tremendously yah...with Materials and getting this Renovation project on its feet And A bit more videos perhaps Im hoping billy might make An appearance to give a hand or two 🤲 🙌🤝🤚❤ Since Billy is Ryan's BFF😊
Just FYI, for some reason, the geniuses at YT keep unsubscribing me. I had to resubscribe again today which may be 10 days running now. I sure wish they would stop!
Nick has been a great support and your banter has been great! I think we’ll all miss Nick and his sage advice! It’s so lovely that Nick is going to help with a plan of the tasks you need to do when you’re on your own! It is expensive - I’ve just bought one from B&Q in the UK for £30.00. The cheaper ones were available for £16.00 - £18.00 and of course there were others that were more expensive!
Is it possible not closing in the attic, and adding a loft space from the top bedroom. Seeing the beams would be nice and the loft would make a great office.
If you have them on that side of France, go to Gifi or Action to find a toilet seat. I have seen them less than 20 there. I know we have them in the North east. Have not been to your side of France yet.
Hey beautiful people!
I had to split this video into 2 parts or else it would have been a bit too long lol

Your enthusiasm seemingly has no bounds! You will succeed at this renovation.
That seems very high in cost for just the seat. Not that I have bought one recently. Always glad to see a video pop up!
Ryan, here in Australia at Bunnings (like your Bricco) the cheapest toilet seat is 18 AUD, converts to about 10 EURO.
$8.50 for a seat here in USA
You can buy cheaper in Big W.
Hello, Hello, Hello
So happy you are back.
love the videos ry! keep up the good work! also love nick in the videos.
Wow! What a blessed guy you are Ryan. Everyone needs a Billy & Nick as friends.
Ask Billy for one from the convent
Yes!! Billy would love to give you one , plus you’ll have a memory/relic from the Convent.
And possibly a ghost for your new home 😅
You two should just change the concept of this channel . And make it a talkshow . Because , let's be honest .no house work really ever gets done .
Sounds like some great ideas to expand the room in your house and make it more livable for you. You are keeping a couple of bedrooms which is good, you might get married one day and have children. Anything is possible. Have a great day
Love seeing you two together you're so funny. Opening up the stairs sounds good ❤
Why not get a freebie toilet from the Convent remodel? Don't you also have reuse shops?
I am not sure there’s a market for used toilet seats 😂😂😂😂
Loved this video. I laughed, though most of it. Well done!
On a professional note, I would like for you to reconsider "the open floor plan for your bedrooms." You are young and (at the moment)single. Always build knowing that at some point you shall sell. I have watched so many clients devalue a property by not thinking a little long-term.
As always, I am looking forward to your upcoming videos.
Your toilet seat saga had me laughing you and Nick are a good comedy team.😂
Love y'all together, but stop waffling and get to work Lol 😂😂 Much Love from South East Florida 🌴🌴💕
I will seek over to The Moons and have a watch.
It's great to see Ryan and Nick. 😊🏴
walmart near me has a wooden toilet seat for 7.98 us dollars with tax would cost me 8.78 us dollars lol they have huge selection, also have a night glow seat and lid for 22.74 plus tax. My question is do your seats have gold trim? lol
I bought one of those and the batteries ran out really quick!
Just checked Lowes (USA large big box home improvement store) and I can buy a crapper seat for $8.50
🥰 you can finally see out the car window & stay warm driving!! Nick is amazing. Cheaper end toilet seats here are about 35 dollars.
Huh? My suggestion of creating a wish list on Amazon not allowed?
Had the same sticker shock when mine broke. All I wanted was a comfy place to park my bum, but $60!! 😱 Found creaking plastic job for under $50, but I swear these things were only $16 before the plague 😤
Not sure what country your in but in Australia we can get them from around $10.
US & I live a bit of a trek from the stores, so the stuff that will actually ship is always more.
I'll be looking forward to a "loo review" once the ensuite is done to see if you've splurged on the expensive or have chosen the inexpensive seat lol. You're off to a great start on home ownership. Always glad to see your videos.
Not only are toilets expensive, but seat cost you too, then tp isn't cheap eather. Now you know why outhouses were more popular back in the days.
Outhouses were popular because houses didn’t have indoor plumbing and municipalities didn’t have sewers.
I am pretty sure that comment was a joke 😂😂😂❤
I'm just saying, cost you out the A** ro for ro the bathroom nowadays . Now that's funny 😁 😂 😀
Perfect ! I'm so glad you are opening up light and sight lines ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️.
I’m always happy to see you/your videos!! I can see the friendship you have with Nick Moon is natural, supportive, and full of trust and fun! I hope he can help you as his time permits!! Sending you (both) “high fives” and much respect!!!
I know we need to accept change .. but will miss spending time with you and Nick. Any reunion will be treasured💖
Later! SERIOUSLY!😮
Wow a cheap toilet seat in Australia is about AUD$25 at Bunnings...go to another shop Ryan! Love your vids, will miss Nick!😊
Just got back from a late social event Ryan and your video was the frist thing I saw upon my return home. So nice to see you again in such a lovely and jolly light. Your house will become a home before you know it.
PS. I love Nick's sweater ( jumper) it looks so warm.
Cheers
That is very expensive for a toilet seat, I just replaced one of ours with a slow close lid and it cost $39.00 in the U.S..
Hello, You have a lot of fireplaces, if you fix these first, then save money and trips to tip with wood :)
you sure have a good friend. its nice when we can share our skills with others, and yes, that is crazy high. i dont know if you have a type of restore where you live, but you can get a lot of materials to build with on the very cheap.also you could put double french doors on each bedroom and leave them open, then you can shut them if you need privicy. that would look awesome

Your house is going to be gorgeous Ryan! My hat goes off to you as you undertake this wonderful project! 😊
I need to get a new one from B&Q too. Seen one I like, so will be ordering it tomorrow. I have to get the right shape for the loo.
Who is this on suite and Joyce you keep talking about. They better be paying rent. You could use that money for the toilet seat.
Is it possible not closing in the attic, and adding a loft space from the top bedroom. Seeing the beams would be nice and the loft would make a great office.
As I recall, Ryan is currently planning to fit out the attic as livable floor.
If you have them on that side of France, go to Gifi or Action to find a toilet seat. I have seen them less than 20 there. I know we have them in the North east. Have not been to your side of France yet.
2:40 : look at it from the positive side, your house will then be ´floorless´. Get it? 🤣
(Yes, thatś a ´homophone').
😅😅😅😅😅
Exciting for You Ryan, you will get there! And your doing it right!
