  • My second review of rare and cool parts kits from WWII. Let me know in the comments what you'd like to see next - M1A1 Thompson, MG34, MG42, MP44, etc. I promise to get better editing and show even

    Beautiful kit! It looks great as-is, and would probably display well. Also, it would be an incredible candidate for a semi-auto "re-weld" if desired.

    Six years later and finally quit looking for a kit due to being priced out of the market. That and the demills are just sloppy now. Hope you have had years of enjoyment from this fine piece

    The NRA Should lobby for an exemption to allow rare and collectible machine guns / war trophies to be registered after 1986. Heartbreaking that war bring backs of rare guns have to be cut up like this. Imagine if you found a fg42 or a mg34 in your dads attic that was not registered and you had to send it off to be cut up

      Unfortunately the NRA could care less about these old gems. The NFA in total is garbage and should've been fought years ago. The worst part is that if anything is found it can't even be cut and kept. At the very least the receiver would have to be surrendered. Sure doesn't make sense since parts kits with cut receivers are fine but a complete unregistered gun that is discovered is contraband and that status cannot be changed.

    Very neat kit, would love to own one myself however I probably would never find a parts kit for these again in 2022, and even if I did I couldn’t afford it.

    If you plan on building these into a semi auto gun you should definitely make a series on how to do it. Information on converting these to semi auto is very scarce

      @@bulletbrothers784 it means more MP-44's need to be cut up and lemme tell you
      They're already hard enough to find in original condition here in Europe

    A single saw cut, matching #s kit!?! That's pure unobtainium!! Everyone asking about buying it or price, just the pieces of a torch cut receiver are going for about $1500 now a days. A kit like this would be in the shoot for the moon and get it asking price! Like $16K or more

    Are there any of these kits left? Or any parts or pieces that are obtainable?. Awesome video. I love these old WWII German made firearms. I have a couple of handguns my father in law brought back with him from the war.

    Did they repeat the series cycle all the way through the entire alphabet for example 1a/43 to 9999zz/43 or did they stop at 9999az/43 and move to 1a/44?

    • @CraigS_427
      @CraigS_427  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They didn't start over for each year, so it went through to the (iirc) aj block where production ended. About 425,000 rifles.

      LegitGrantham20 Although I'm an SOT and could build it as a post sample or semi auto, I'll probably just keep it as a collectible.
