After following a couple of other Urban Exploration channels I came across your channel. I have to say this is exactly what I was looking for. You take your time and ponder over everything and I really appreciate that. Others, who I won't name lol, run thru the places like their butt's on fire acting a fool the whole time. Very immature and difficult to watch. Thanks for all the awesome adventures!
I REALLY enjoy your videos. Your videos made me a tad bit obsessed with abandoned houses and places. I watch your videos most nights with a bowl of ice cream and dimmed lights. Very calming and interesting. I never have the guts to enter a abandoned house. I'm always afraid of perhaps a dead body being dumped there or snakes living there! Ugh! So watching your videos help with curiosity on what lies under different abandoned place. I live in the states, right off a country side and we have so many places here that are abandoned. See them all the time, but never imagined me going into them! Keep up the great adventure to share with others! We love them! :)
I'm always saddened by these homes. It just seems such a waste to just abandon them. This house tells such a story what with the furniture and all. I can just picture the family looking out the many windows as the season changed. Wonder if any original owners ever look on youtube and find their old home?
What you came past in the beginning of the vid was what used to be an aquarium. Also, I loved the details on the stairs and the wooden cabinet and table, something you'd normally see here in France. Thanks for sharing x
I am so glad to find your channel, Tiki. I have been binge-watching so many of your videos this weekend. 😊 Coincidentally, I was born and raised in this area (moved from the area many years ago), so this is doubly cool to me. So far this house walk-through is my favourite. I love mid-century homes. This one is more of a slightly post-mid-century split level design, but still it is lovely. Someone obviously put a lot of love and thought into it. These late 60s to 70s era family homes are some of my favourite older homes. I would make that front small room that had the ironing board in it, into a sewing room. It looked it might have been an office or craft room with that built in desktop in the corner.
Nice piece of property. I love the house, the pond, and I really love that garage. What a shame it was abandoned, for whatever reason(s). Sad too, that it's all going to erased, to build high-density condos.
I feel like a kid again, watching these abandoned house videos. I like the lady's accent, wondering where this house is located. Lovely setting. And yes, that furniture is very nice, esp. the Danish modern chairs and the trestle table.
Hi Teala! Yeah, there are a few of us who explore in the same area, so there are bound to be several versions of one location. I'm glad you enjoy my videos and appreciate the kind words! Thank you so much! :)
Hi there, first i saw the windmills in the paintings and thought: "They must be Dutch." Then at 17:15 I saw the frame with the drawing and the text. It is about the village "Etten"; this is just about five miles from where I live in the Netherlands! What a coïncidence. I am watching your videos since a few days and then i come across this; funny! Cheers, Jan Maarten Oolman.
OMG NO FRIEKEN WAY! that house was my grandmothers house! I used to always go there i went there not to long Ago to check it out and see how bad it was. We had heard it was abandoned. That table was where i ate at every morning when i came over there. There was a fishtank in that hallway. She passed away and they sold the house. Everyone took what they wanted from it and the rest which was alot was left behind inside.someone else lived there for 5 months after it was sold
@sark76 she died like I said and they let the family go in and take what they wanted and then it was sold half that stuff isnt even my grandmothers like the equipment and the stuff in the living room section of the kitchen. A few people lived there after it was sold
So sorry for the loss of your grandma. I cannot believe anyone abandoned this house. It so beautiful. Such a waste! Hopefully someone will be able to purchase. Or default on taxes and someone can take it over. I certainly would love too.
The tile or picture in the window @ 17:15 says; When you are born in Etten, is that village worth everything to you. If you stayed there or when you emigrated, you cannot forget that village. It pulls on you, wherever you went. The image of Etten may change but the humour will forever remain. ----------------------------------------------------------------- It`s written in dialect, i`ve had a hard time reading it myself. Keep up the cool videos. I enjoy them very much. Thumbs up .
Watched back when this video was nearly new,,, It still invokes the same feelings as long ago as do many of her videos. I get angry to see what unthinking, bored people do to others belongings and am sad the people are gone (without taking care things) and this makes me uncomfortably and worry,, but I must hold onto knowing there was happiness in the lives lived here because one can tell, this was a good home with good people. Thank you.
Oh man, I would actually (figuratively) kill to live here in this house!! This is by far the most beautiful house I've ever seen on one of these channels and one of the nicest houses I've seen, period. It just needs some updating/modernization, a good cleaning, and better flooring and it'd be ready to move in! They better not do anything to this house. They need to do what they did with Carol Burnett's childhood home when a nearby business wanted that land for an expanded parking lot, i.e., move the house to a nearby location. It'd be worth it!!
Oh, I meant mainly in terms of making the kitchen more modern-looking (I've even got a Samsung french door refrigerator I already own and could move inside the kitchen) and upgrading the wiring to accommodate 21st century power needs. As far as the flooring goes, I'd want to put in new carpets because I'm sure the older ones are shot, and some hardwood flooring in the foyer and on the stairs. Maybe some new vinyl tiles in the bathrooms. Otherwise it's turn-key ready!
I've been going through your vids from oldest to newest for about a week now... Love your channel! The layout of this house is one of my favourites so far! Love the design!! I have some great finds in the Ottawa valley area if you ever come up this way, let me know! Keep up the great work and I look forward to watching more of your vids!
I worked for a company that maintained foreclosed properties. It was amazing the length of time houses would sit empty before we were allowed to do any work to them. Sometimes years. Seeing as this is Ontario the times rules and situations may be different. Interesting property brings back as few memories.
Tiki, I just discovered your videos recently and have been captivated by your work. Your ability to channel all the sensations of your experience to your viewers is unparalleled. Keep them coming!
Very nice find, that plant that looked like coral is actually a cactus. Love that banister, what a great house and the pond makes it even more gorgeous.
Definitely cactus in a long planter. That is not what's left of an aquarium, the V-shaped bottom is clearly visible when the camera first approaches it.
Hi Pam, You did a great job on your video of this house! As soon as I saw the long planter with the shells in it, I knew I had seen this house on here before, two times I believe. I love watching your videos as you pay so much more attention to details, even small ones, & your narrating is the best! Keep up the awesome work & stay safe!!:)
Have to say your videos and Abandonedsc's have me addicted to watching. Have always had the itch to explore abandoned places but have been too frightened. Love that I can explore without the fear through your videos. Thank you!

Thanks so much. I was curious enough about that to try and translate it, but didn't get far. Are the lines you've indicated as 'Original' old Dutch or something? That explains the group pictures in front of windmills... As for the text at the bottom, I found an image of this same print for sale that shows the entire thing. It says "Henny Ebbers ±1953". I'm happy I was able to contribute something!
That's the first time I've ever seen Tiki get spooked. As many creepy basements that she has gone in; as casual as can be, I just figured she had nerves of steel. thanks for sharing.
Another great job! I really enjoy how you talk like were right there with you. Ive never seen you scared b4!! That sound at the end of the video was simply a branch rubing against the metal shed, but i can imagine the comments that will say it was haunted, they say every place is haunted it cracks me up! Nice stuff left behind, Keep having fun :)
you are totally blowing me away on your videos, the stuff people left behind that maybe of value and i also may add untouched by looters holy cow just amazed
Tiki, I know where this place is too. I totally forgot that it was there. It was built when I was in grade 6 or so. Considering all the development around it is amazing how untouched it is. I guess being hidden in the bush has protected it for now.
You crack me up!!!! You go into all those dark, dank basements, but when you're in an outbuilding in the daytime that is well lit, etc., you get scared. lmao
If I heard that noise in a basement, I'd run out of it as well, but I haven't had such an experience elsewhere. I thought there might be an animal that felt trapped by my presence which is why I got out of there. They do love attics.
***** I initially thought you had company and that they were coming up the stairs after you. :) Sounded just like footsteps to me so when you hightailed it I had to be careful not to choke on my water! :D
I love your videos and very well done on your good work. My favourite are the older houses that have been abandoned for years but still have remnants of former lives.
What a beautiful house! Looks like its in really good shape; no water damage &/or mold. It would just need to be cleaned, carpet stripped, and a few updates. As for the police tape, I'm a cop in a city in the US. After we're done investigating a crime scene, we hurriedly rip off the tape and dump it in the squads' trunks to be disposed of at the district station. Sometimes we don't get every scrap of tape. I also had a friend that lived in my squad area. I would tape up her overhead garage door during my night shift as a joke. She wouldn't see it as she entered her garage from her fenced off backyard on her way to work in the morning. Once she opened her overhead door from the inside of her garage, she would find my handiwork.
Tiki: My friend thought it was funny. She owns her own business, so she could afford the couple of minutes it would take to remove the tape. Who's gonna say anything to the boss if she's a couple of minutes late? Also, one of the earlier comments stated that police tape off the entire property, plus the surrounding area, if a crime has been committed in a residence. That is correct. We do not tape off specific areas within a residence, as the entire house is a crime scene. The police tape in the house was a prank.
Agent Fungus I thought it was just a prank, Agent Fungus. And who would know better than you? And an expert on pranks as well! :) Thanks for the clarification on that.
I was actually just thinking after rewatching the video just now that the "crime scene" tape was placed there to investigate the arson attempt in the living room area of the house! You know, with the scorched desk and ceiling and all? But I can totally buy that the people who set the fire probably just quickly put it out and hurried away, and perhaps came back with some party store-procured "police tape" as a joke.
What a Unique and interesting hobby, have watched a couple of your videos now, and am hooked, I have no idea how I tripped over this channel, but am glad I did, particularly enjoying the Canadian commentary, reminds me of my old buddy from my teens... :)
17:13 It is in Dutch with all the double oo and double ee. 18:10 Wow, très belle lampe des années 1960. 18:55 Whoa, l'ordinateur a même un bouton on/off à bascule. Je n'avais jamais encore vu ça sur un ordinateur.
After seeing your viewers comments about the CarClub doing the same house , I went and looked at their video . They were crude enough to show the poo . Thank you for having more class than that , and your camera work is far better !!
Another great video of yours! This home is in good shape, well...it could use some sinks lol. I found it strange that their was police tape inside the house, because I thought Police Officers usually put it around the outside when a crime is committed...so I think you're right when you say the previous owners might have been using it for something. Maybe a police officer lived there - who knows? Thanks for uploading Tiki!
OMG!! Wow!!, Awesome!! This house is Beautiful, & Loved, Love the tree at 20:19. Natch putting a road or doing something to destroy such beauty.. Truly Sad.. Thank you so much for this classic..
It's pretty interesting to see different views of the urban explorers - looks like they were there a few short months ahead in 2013 . Abandoned House In The Swamp Urban Exploration I was glad to see the attention to detail on the garage and the other areas not covered in the earlier video by the other urban explorer.
yep, must have bought these folks out...and not given them much time, by the looks of things..as for the house itself.i love it,the layout and such...and ofcourse the way you documented everthing..you never disappoint,Tiki.
Seems like the people who lived there are from the Dutch village Etten as seen on the small picture. Its written in old Dutch saying even if you emigrate you'll never forget the village you come from. Doesn't surprise me since a lot of Dutch emigrated to Canada. And btw I never heard about an old tradition of us taking the sinks when we move lol
You might already have seen this, but I thought it was interesting. I watched this video of you exploring this house and then I happened upon a video by another group of people exploring it a few months before you. I thought it was interesting :) I recognized the house right away after watching your video. Abandoned House In The Swamp Urban Exploration I love your channel, by the way!
Love your videos..you go to places many of us would be too chicken to go and your narration is factual-just exploring-I feel like I'm exploring with you and I love it! Thank you!
Great Video's you put there. This house is so nice its a shame it has to be demolished. If i lived in Canada i would most certainly love to live there with the pond and that barn workshop would be perfect for me. Keep up the good work Honey.
I'm always on the lookout for hazards. I've been doing this for quite a few years, and as of today and many videos later, I've managed to avoid the pitfalls. Thanks for your concern.
Hi Walker! Thanks! You are very sweet. At first it sounded just like branches scraping against the tin roof, but then the sound became more intense and almost sounded like it could have been wild animals. I didn't want to get trapped up there so I got out the hell out of dodge. Like I told someone else, I may appear brave, but I don't throw caution to the wind. :)
I was upstairs in the shed. I'm not sure what it was, but I wasn't sticking around to find out, lol. It sounded like animals, but it may have just been the branches scraping against the tin roof. The microphone on the camera didn't pick it up as loud as it was in person.
Great video such a beautiful house and property makes you wonder what it was like when the people lived there. And to think it will be destroyed for a road is sickening.
Great Video Tiki. Very thorough indeed. Older, but great video. I wonder if today almost 2 whole years later if that house is still there or not and how good it looks today. TikiTrex, do you ever go back and see your old haunts? .
SnapPunch Robert Thank you! I don't purposely visit hold haunts, especially if they are far away as most are, but if I happen to be in the area, I like to check the status and then update it in my description if there has been any change. This house I see regularly and it is still sitting there abandoned on the pond in the city. The only difference is, it's boarded up now. The city has been getting after developers and land owners for not boarding up their vacant buildings lately.
Oh wow, what a gorgeous house, this would be my dream house, it's simple yet gorgeous, well obviously not my dream house in THAT condition haha but still I can imagine how nice it would be completely redone. I'd say this is one of my favorite videos, you find the best places!
This was another great tour tiki; such a beautiful house; you are a great detective; you knew before finding the book on Holland that they we're dutch; I think if there was a crime there, you would have solved it...thank you for being so thorough with your camera shots It's heart breaking to know that the area will soon be overrun with those cookie cutter houses...great video :)
I read through most of the comments to make sure no one else posted this question. You appeared to have some hesitation in the top of the barn storage area. I noticed that you started to enter the other half of the barn and something startled you. Could you elaborate one what you heard/saw in the barn? By the way, I love to watch your channel. You are by far one of the best urban explorers out there!
+Michelle Gray Thank you so much, Michelle. I appreciate your nice comment. There was a loud ominous noise, but it only turned out to be the branches scraping against the metal roof. At first, I thought maybe there was an animal of some sort in there due to the sound (didn't see anything), but it was all good.
+TikiTrex Thanks for taking me here, a last favor for today. if you have the time, and easy methods to do so, will you find the title of your first video for me? I'm on a device that scrolling is the only option, and with the abundance of your videos, that might taka a very long time to scroll through. my interest in watching your very fist video, and very first video that announces your desire to explore abandoned places, is to simply have a fresh start to watch you from the beginning, hoping I can get a better understanding as to your purpose of exploring. from there, I plan to watch every other vid of yours in order, so I too can capture the similar feel that others might feel, watching you thoroughly. Thank you in consideration. Just intersterd to know how it all started and what possibly got you involved, especially to do so many in the course of time. Sincerely, with care.
Nerion, Espy Of Wolves I went to the video tab and clicked added (oldest) and this was the oldest video apparently its from four years ago as of now th-cam.com/video/MX7P8rs9pqw/w-d-xo.html
I guess there's a lot of misinformation out there. The address where the murders occurred were at 12 Welwyn Avenue in East Toronto. If you check Google Map street or satellite view, you will see it's not the same house as this one. This house in the video is not in the Toronto area.
I really enjoy watching your videos you are excellent at filming you don't go to fast and you talk to us as if we are right there with you. I would love to know why so many people walk away and leave so much behind. I have noticed one funny thing in quite a few of the houses there is still toilet paper on the holder in the bathrooms even in houses that have been vandalized. Thanks for posting these I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
I think I've seen another video of this house a long while ago, can't remember the guy or how to find the video but he didn't go in, pretty sure it's the same house, very cool.
As always, this was a great video! I would love to own this house, and bring it back to its original splendor! (And I really want to know about the police tape! LOL) Thanks for sharing! :)
What a shame to see the house like this.. wonder where the owners are ? why did they ran away leaving the house like this?? wonder whats the story behind.. so many questions without any answer.. unsolved mysteries.. wish there is a way to find out what happened here..its a beautiful house with a nice view... i can almost imagine people sitting on the deck and enjoying the view and the sun...something bad must have happened for people to leave this beautiful house like this.. thank youTiki for the wonderful tour..

I'm glad you found me and enjoy my videos! Thanks for watching! :)
One of the best videos I have seen on exploring an abandoned house, your videos are the greatest!!
My pleasure! Thank you for watching!
Really? That's interesting to know. I'm really glad you enjoy my explorations, and thank you for the info and nice comment as always! :)

I feel bad for this house. It's so nicely designed. I would have loved to live there.
I would have never left that home or that hutch. Gorgeous.
What a beautiful home.

Tiki, I know where this place is too. I totally forgot that it was there. It was built when I was in grade 6 or so. Considering all the development around it is amazing how untouched it is. I guess being hidden in the bush has protected it for now.
This one is of course, awesome. It seems strange to see you spooked out. You are so brave! Loved it! Thanks!
minustwelve It was an ominous sound, lol.
House has a great layout - really livable. You find the best places.
That is hilarious and very clever!
thank you 4 doing such a great job filming what we love 2 watch! : )
what a great find!It looks like it was a nice house in a gorgeous setting at one time, and that desk! , thanks for the hard work Tiki:)
17:13 It is in Dutch with all the double oo and double ee.
18:10 Wow, très belle lampe des années 1960.
18:55 Whoa, l'ordinateur a même un bouton on/off à bascule. Je n'avais jamais encore vu ça sur un ordinateur.
One of the coolest houses that you have videoed. Can't wait for your next one.
Abandoned House In The Swamp Urban Exploration
I was glad to see the attention to detail on the garage and the other areas not covered in the earlier video by the other urban explorer.
That was an aquarium setup. Excellent video ! Thank you
This house is beautiful!! My favorite so far, no doubt about it!
yep, must have bought these folks out...and not given them much time, by the looks of things..as for the house itself.i love it,the layout and such...and ofcourse the way you documented everthing..you never disappoint,Tiki.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed this video. I found out that it possibly was used for police training.
There is another video of this place I have seen on here. Great job as always Pam.
Thanks for your concern.
my favorite of your videos. Thanks for your work.
Tiki did you ever find out if anything happened in the house?
Another great video. Looks like it was a nice house once. Always amazes me what people leave behind.
wow that stair case and brick work is Awesome. Cool House
Hi Walker! :)
wonderful camera work as always, best there is!
I'm glad you enjoyed :)
Beautiful "King Crimsom" Maple Tree at 20:19. Love your vids!
Thanks Tiki, I love houses that have a lot of stuff in them like that one - Very cool video!
That was a really beautiful bowl they left on the treadmill.
Another gem Tiki!!!!! Thank you!!!!
Was that trough thing for plans not to grow canabis in? With the lighting above to keep it light and warm
Beautiful home and property. Were those lilacs along the road? The ceramic 'thingy' on the floor is called a lavabo. Love your videos.
Nerion, Espy Of Wolves of course it says your comment is two years old as of now lol
this was a cool house. really cool stairs. thanks for sharing
I guess there's a lot of misinformation out there. The address where the murders occurred were at 12 Welwyn Avenue in East Toronto. If you check Google Map street or satellite view, you will see it's not the same house as this one. This house in the video is not in the Toronto area.
I really enjoy your video's keep up the good work
I really enjoy watching your videos you are excellent at filming you don't go to fast and you talk to us as if we are right there with you. I would love to know why so many people walk away and leave so much behind. I have noticed one funny thing in quite a few of the houses there is still toilet paper on the holder in the bathrooms even in houses that have been vandalized. Thanks for posting these I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Thank you, Judy. I really appreciate your nice comment and am glad you enjoy my videos.
That is unfortunate that you got spooked out! and also a big mystery about the police tape in the house! interesting video again! :-)
hi. it looks like that was once a huge tropical aquarium when you first came into the house.
Sara R. lol serving fishy drinks!
Neat find Tiki. I wonder if the original owner lost the house or they were bought out.
What a beautiful House. The writing on the Picture and the Windmills are from Holland.
Beautiful house and what a view!
I would totally fix this place up and live here. it's a beautiful home.
I saw another video of this house... But your is the best!
I think I've seen another video of this house a long while ago, can't remember the guy or how to find the video but he didn't go in, pretty sure it's the same house, very cool.
one of the lovely house .i love it .something happen just inside the kitchen
That is just an amazing and beautiful house/location. It's such a shame it's abandoned.
