5mm ammo. It drops like mad from any super mutant with a minigun. And since miniguns are worthless (unless you play a shredder barrel melee build), their ammo is my caps. .38 at least can be shot at something. 5 mm deals like 1 damage.

i think this is one of the easier challenges mitten squad has done. there is zero requirement to buy anything in order to beat this game. all you have to do is side with the institute and streamline your playthrough to just speedrun that questline. the only thing youd possibly need is stimpaks or radaway, but you can loot a handful of those and youll be fine running through the glowing sea with just a handful of radx and radaway. another thing is a biometric scanner, since you can often buy one off of daisy in goodneighbour to build the teleporter, but there are several that you can just pick up lying around the map, like in the decrepit factory in the glowing sea on the way to virgils cave. overall, the challenge is pretty straightforward compared to the ones done in the past on this channel. still a great vid tho. funny to see him stumble upon random bits of knowledge that the speedrunning community has discovered over the years, like how virgil wasnt in the cave when he first went there (he only spawns after completing the dangerous minds quest)

The first time I went to Fort Hagen, really early in my game, I walked back to Sanctuary with all the loot and it was painfully slow. There was no way I was leaving all that good stuff so early in the game!

Several people I am sure, myself included, were very interested in the hoard of caps you managed to collect by the end of the game. The fact we never find out is disappointing.
I often forget caps exist, despite playing on Survival. They're just such a non-factor. But I tend to have high charisma anyways, because it lets you avoid a lot of otherwise lethal fights, along with high agility, and charisma can be used to get a lot of enemies to fight for you. I tend to have charisma and agility as my primary stats, with luck as my tertiary stat. If my build sounds low-power and squishy, it's because it is. I don't handle my fights, I got 4 companions to do that for me. I'm the bard of the group.
i mean, I have 7 charisma plus 3 from clothes, and I use the op af marine combat armor with a laser rifle. never lose fights with that combination, and i make a ton of exp from persuasions
Only unavoidable caps is the 100 Ellie gives you. Apart from that I finished the main quests without picking up caps. Pro tip nuka colas give you caps so don’t drink them!

BossGAMIN LORDYT actually you can, it’s a pain in the ass, but it’s doable, you need to dump points upon points into Melee (or unarmed if it’s in FO3 I can’t remember), max out Strength and Endurance, and get the perks associated with Unarmed.
You can. There's an exploit involving the Chinese Stealth Armor + Hockey Masks where if you try to wear one mask, and then try to equip the other one, it won't actually unequip and re-equip the mask, but rather, it'll just double up the bonus that the original mask gave you, and using that method, you could pretty much get up to 10,000 Unarmed Damage, and you can fight anything with it. I've been watching a lot of these lately. I miss Mitten Squad. He so rarely uploads anymore, I understand, there can't be that many challenge runs he could possibly do at this point. But his sense of humor is so great that it doesn't matter what the challenge is. I hope there are more games that come out that allow this kind of thing in the future so he can make more videos.
Can you beat fallout 4/ New vegas without reloading? Similar to using every wepon once but weapons can be repeated but only using what ammo was in the gun. The challenge here would be holding enough weapons to clear certain areas without being over encumbered .

Way too easy. Caps are pretty much worthless. I never use any vendors anyway. This is so exceedingly easy that I did it on accident in my second play through.
Yeah caps only exist to make your self feel rich or buy legendary from vendors if you want them like the big boy. Other than that it's easy as healing items can be fond on tons of weak raiders that respawn after 7 in-game days so if you have patience you can grind the starting area for healing items. I currently have over 400.
Same for me on my first. I didn't even realize what I had done until I got to Diamond City after beating the main quest. In 3 and NV I spent so much time using caps that I couldn't figure out why there was something off about my playthrough until I finally went to see if it was possible to buy spare parts for the base I decided to build.

you'd have to not count quest caps because you get caps during the story quests.

I've been watching a lot of these lately. I miss Mitten Squad. He so rarely uploads anymore, I understand, there can't be that many challenge runs he could possibly do at this point. But his sense of humor is so great that it doesn't matter what the challenge is. I hope there are more games that come out that allow this kind of thing in the future so he can make more videos.

Can you beat fallout 4/ New vegas without reloading? Similar to using every wepon once but weapons can be repeated but only using what ammo was in the gun.
The challenge here would be holding enough weapons to clear certain areas without being over encumbered .
Deafforever1231 get a single weapon with the “endless” skill on it and boom easy run.
Or any melee weapon. Don’t you auto-reload if you un-equip/re-equip your gun?
In New Vegas most if not all of the game can either be done non-violently or just ran past and avoided so it would probably be really easy
this is really doable, in my original plays I never spent caps on anything because I found the things I needed on corpses.

No Radaway and Rad-X isn’t really important, since Fallout: New Vegas has little to no radiation.

Because, Only with 100 Speech it is posible to end New Vegas without killing, seeing as you cannot evade the ending confrontation (Lanius or Oliver).

Way too easy. Caps are pretty much worthless. I never use any vendors anyway. This is so exceedingly easy that I did it on accident in my second play through.
Yeah caps only exist to make your self feel rich or buy legendary from vendors if you want them like the big boy. Other than that it's easy as healing items can be fond on tons of weak raiders that respawn after 7 in-game days so if you have patience you can grind the starting area for healing items. I currently have over 400.
Same for me on my first. I didn't even realize what I had done until I got to Diamond City after beating the main quest. In 3 and NV I spent so much time using caps that I couldn't figure out why there was something off about my playthrough until I finally went to see if it was possible to buy spare parts for the base I decided to build.

Fallout 4 in general is just a very easy dumbed down Fallout spin off game made with the same assets as Skyrim.
