    1:50 This is SUCH an underrated feature! I really wish my X-T1 and X-T2 did this. It's amazing how many times I'm shooting close to the stomach or chest with the screen tilted and it all of a sudden goes black! Beyond that, I love coming to your videos for conformation bias. Haha! It's an echo chamber I'm happy to be in.

    • @gearreallydoesntmatter

      I was pretty bummed that they left it out from the X-Pro3. Seems like a firmware fix would be easy.

      @@gearreallydoesntmatter It's odd how they've left that feature out of some models, but included it with others.

      @@tedtedsen269 But then you need to fiddle with it every time you want to take a picture. Fuji could probably just release firmware so all the models had the same feature, it really is super helpful when shooting low angles.

    I can’t imagine not shooting at all without having my 50R. It simply blows me away every time. The 63 is just primo. I can only imagine the 110. I’ve been using a few lenses including the older bronica ETR lenses, an old pentacon zeiss 80mm 2.8, and it’s pure pleasure breathing life back into these lenses. Still, the 63 blows me away every time I use it.

  • @slavakhudyakov3807
    @slavakhudyakov3807 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I also can highly recommend GF 100-200 5.6. It sounds like a slow lens, and, to some extend it is. But specs do not tell full story -- it's truly SHARP, has very useful focal range which suits well for both portraits and landscape, has smooth and calm out of focus areas rendering and definitely enough blur when shoot at 150-200 range with gfx sensor. Optical stabilisation is really good! Really. 3-4 steps advantage. So I adore it, despite it is being a little bit large, I use it really often and happy with results. Ah, and autofocus speed is also good -- it has linear motor similar to 50 3.5.
    I have now 100-200, 50 and 63. So I am waiting for 30 3.5 to be released and that will complete mine gfx set. Chao and enjoy taking pictures, Mattias! Always happy to see your videos and hear your magnificent voice!

    I have one, with the 32-64 lens. It was working great. I put it away for a few months, and when I went back to use it, I kept getting the "TURN OFF THE CAMERA AND TURN ON AGAIN" error message. Nothing that I can figure out caused that error message. I didn't drop it. The battery was still fully charged. Just sitting in my camera back pack, ready to go. Not exposed to any extreme temperatures, or any vibrations. I suspect the lens, because when I take off the lens and turn on the naked body, I don't get that message. So, what gives? I did the upgrades, without interruptions, and still the problem exists. I see I'm not the only owner to have this problem, but I have yet to know what the fix is. Out of warranty, so faced with Fuji repair costs? Maybe this condition should be covered under a Class Action recall? I babied this camera, and would love to be able to use it, but I want it to be working reliably. Right now, it's a lead weight.

      It depends. 50s has better ergonomics, but bigger in size. 50r is is much more compact but holds differently. Also 50r is newer and there are some hidden improvements, like quiter and more vibration free shutter. Taking into account price difference I think 50r looks more attractive. But better go and hold both. Try with small and big lense. Btw, your H lenses can be used with adapter.

    Another thing I wanted to write is 63 2.8 lens. That's a good lens. Sharp, nice rendering. But, it somehow flawed -- fuji designed it with retractable front element which moves out during focus and, if any, even smallish thing will be in front of it, you are risking breaking your focus motor. That happened to me, unfortunately. And, as far as I bought this lense used (but like new), I had to pay Fuji full repair cost price. Cost was just 122 Euro, so very reasonable, but, you need to know that and better, if u like to buy it, do yourself a favour and get a brand new with warranty. And u need to be accurate with it. So, in total, if u think about 50 or 63 for me this is no brainer -- go for 50.
