Great Reaction! Uli is the lead singer for Snow White Blood. They are a symphonic metal band that are unfortunately going away after the play their last show this weekend. I don't know a lot about them but I love her voice in this song. Blackbriar is a Dutch gothic/symphonic metal band and their lead singer Zora is an amazing singer and storyteller. Much of their music has a Victorian gothic vibe to it and their music video's are simply gorgeous. This is a rather simple song but very well done. They just signed with Nuclear Blast records after being independent for many years and have a new album coming out in the fall. They will be releasing their first single/video from it this Friday. Their producer is Joost van den Broek who was in After Forever with Floor, keyboardist for Ayreon, and a major producer for bands like Epica and Powerwolf. Blackbriar's keyboardist, Ruben Wijga, was also in Floor's band ReVamp. Highly recommend you continue listening to them. Checkout Arms of the Ocean (Zora getting her Siren on), I'd Rather Burn (Zora getting her Witch on), and Mortal Remains. My favorite is still the first Blackbriar song I heard, Fairy of the Bog. Inspired by a 2000 year old mummified teenage girl found in a bog in the Netherlands near Yde who was ritually sacrificed. th-cam.com/video/AdrVZBIw1r8/w-d-xo.html.
If you love storytelling, Blackbriar is your band. They dig into history, folklore and mythology, with (more than) a touch of dark. …and of course, Zora is a -siren- selkie! 😉🤘🔥
Another great reaction, Rachel. Zora Cock of Blackbriar is Rose Red in this, tracks by them which I recommend you react to are: "Until Eternity" official music video, "Arms of The Ocean" official music video, "Mortal Remains" official music video, "I'd Rather Burn" official music video, "The Séance" acoustic live, there are other tracks of course but these are ones which I recommend.
This is just magical, can’t wait for your reaction! This is a pair of singers I would love to hear sing The flower duet, along with Floor and Simone; I think both of them would make a pretty good job of it!
The band is formed through a slash concert, which also includes singer Zora Cock and drummer René Boxem. But it's not Slash who inspires both, but the opening act Halestorm. Their first single sounds a lot like it too. But the two are also big Gothic fans and quickly slip in the direction of dark Synphonic Metal. 3 EP and an LP follow, soon the second one. The creative head is Zora. Apart from the operatic singing, the song is typically Blackbriar: Blackbriar - Mortal Remains (Official Music Video) A new single will be released tomorrow.
I don't know much about Uli, but for more Blackbriar, I'd recommend any of the following: The Seance Arms of the Ocean Until Eternity Mortal Remains Beautiful Delirium Selkie I'd Rather Burn Some of these are on TH-cam as acoustic versions, which really showcase Zora's beautiful voice. As a whole, the band's style is mostly gothic metal with a lot of romantic themes - but with a twist.
Weakness and lust, until eternity, crimson faces, my soul demise, the séance, I'd rather burn, walking over my grave and arms of the ocean are all my top favorites. Very promising band if they keep playing this kind of music !!!!
Blackbriar and Snow White Blood both do songs on the Selkie myth (Selike and Longing for the Sea) which is an interesting contrast. I'd also recommend Drop a Stitch by SWB. Blackbriar are my favorite band, though my usual fare is some of the harder bands you have reacted to - like Arch Enemy and Epica. There is often a deep story behind their songs. There is a narrative arch through Lilith Begone to Confess to Weakness and Lust to I'd Rather Burn; all of which are awesome, but I'd recommend Fairy of the Bog - but you'll need to google Lady of Yde to get the tale
It's not quite the Grimm's fairy tale either, but the original is sometimes called "The Ungrateful Dwarf". It's also sometimes known as "Snow White and Rose Red".
Yes... Blackbriar!! 😍😍😍 Such a great band with the beautiful and haunting voice of Zora. You asked if they are a rock- or a metal band... well I think they belong more into the corner of Gothic (Symphonic) Metal. (there is quite a difference between rock and metal and also between metal and symphonic metal) If you want to hear more of them, for me 'Weaknes and Lust', 'The Séance', 'Preserved Roses' and 'Mortal Remains' are really really good!! (And with great videos and storytelling as well) And if you like this kind of music and great voices, perhaps you should listen to Epica and their song 'Sirens of Blood and Water'. That one is really a great one as well!! 😍 Have fun!! 😊😊🙂
yessss. You make this Dutch guy proud! Loved that you followed mij recommendation. In other songs from Blackbriar the stunning voice of Zora even gives more impact! My favorite song is 'Deadly Diminuendo' , the perfect funeral song. th-cam.com/video/G6YFa05L2A8/w-d-xo.html
🔥🔥Check Westlife please🔥🔥 1. Westlife - Flying without wings for the last time live 2. Westlife - Starlight (lyrics video and then any live video performance) 3. Westlife - Hello my love 4. Westlife - my love (arena 02) live 5. Westlife - you raise me up (twenty tour Live in Dublin 2019)
I hope you decide to delve deeper into Blackbriar. This song is ok, and I get why you chose it, but they definitely have some better and more interesting songs.
This was the first Blackbriar song I heard, easily good enough to get me to check them out more but not now one of my favourites. If you decide to try more you will find that they do a lot of songs about female empowerment and/or patriarchy, filtered through fractured fairytales so that they never sound preachy. For instance, if you listen closely to _Weakness_ _and_ _Lust_ you may spot that all the things Zora is singing about are lies men have told about women through the ages to justify their own issues. Other commenters have made some good suggestions, but I'll just add that my absolute favourite is _Lilith_ _Be_ _Gone,_ about Adam's first wife. There's only a lyric video for that one, though. Enjoy!

Definitely keep checking out Blackbriar! Zora's vocals are so unique and haunting. I highly recommend Arms of the Ocean and Mortal Remains
A good indication of Zora's ability and uniqueness is her acoustic version of Seance, Blackbriar.
Yes! Love those acoustic versions
"Cry of a Banshee" I love this song, acustic or studio version.
If you love storytelling, Blackbriar is your band. They dig into history, folklore and mythology, with (more than) a touch of dark.
…and of course, Zora is a -siren- selkie! 😉🤘🔥
More Blackbriar please. Great band. Great songs. Spooky goodness
Yessss
Another great reaction, Rachel.
Zora Cock of Blackbriar is Rose Red in this, tracks by them which I recommend you react to are:
"Until Eternity" official music video,
"Arms of The Ocean" official music video,

YEAH, BLACKBRIAR! So underrated
Zora's voice is very unique! Rachel, for your next song I recommend: ARMS OF THE OCEAN (ACOUSTIC VERSION)
Zora is magical
And this is a great collaboration.
This is just magical, can’t wait for your reaction!

Black briar until eternity, arms of the ocean, selkie and so many more.
Blackbriar are very good at storytelling, Selkie is one I'd recommend.
Not my first pick for Blackbriar but it's a nice song. Gotta check out I'd Rather Burn.
Can't wait
I hope ever member
Of Snow White blood
Will find great success
Wherever they go.
Uli's soon to be former band, Snow White Blood, does fairy tale inspired metal with her beautiful voice. They are really worth a listen.
I don't know much about Uli, but for more Blackbriar, I'd recommend any of the following:
The Seance
Arms of the Ocean
Until Eternity
Mortal Remains
Beautiful Delirium
Selkie
I'd Rather Burn
Some of these are on TH-cam as acoustic versions, which really showcase Zora's beautiful voice. As a whole, the band's style is mostly gothic metal with a lot of romantic themes - but with a twist.
Oh Blackbriar!
Great band, also Zora have a great voice, she can be haunting, in Seance for instance.
I agree would love to see either of them sing phantom of the opera
Weakness and lust, until eternity, crimson faces, my soul demise, the séance, I'd rather burn, walking over my grave and arms of the ocean are all my top favorites. Very promising band if they keep playing this kind of music !!!!
in 'mortal remains' she show full vocal versitally :3

One of my favorite Blackbriar tunes.
Look to Ulli Perhonen Snow White Blood. 🤘
Uuu love that song❤❤❤

Wasn't Blackbriar in a Jason Bourne movie?
Hi Rachel. Do you need more Phantom of the opera? You can check out Tommy Johansson's version.
Hi Rachel❤❤❤
I love Mortemia girls ❤🎉😍
I hope you do more Blackbriar, to be honest this song doesn't do them justice.
🔥🔥Check Westlife please🔥🔥
1. Westlife - Flying without wings for the last time live
2. Westlife - Starlight (lyrics video and then any live video performance)
3. Westlife - Hello my love
4. Westlife - my love (arena 02) live
5. Westlife - you raise me up (twenty tour Live in Dublin 2019)
Can you react to the music video of Rammstein - Sonne
That'd be Rammstein's interpretation of Snow White and it's awesome
Is that Gerald the Dancing Giraffe?
YES
I hope you decide to delve deeper into Blackbriar. This song is ok, and I get why you chose it, but they definitely have some better and more interesting songs.
To me it has a huge "Therion vibe". Am I wrong?

Please react to HammerFall - Brotherhood or Riders of The Storm
hello early 2000s gothic metal clichés.
Nope, they are not sisters in this fairytale😂 Or just "scissor" sisters🤣
🇬🇧 Norfolk strapped to my giraffe and ready to go 😊
