Happy New Year ladies🎉🎉. 2 of my FFO's for 2023 were Daughter of Mine and Mrs Campbell both a joy to do. As we have 2 daughters, (1 now a Campbell ) the incentive was there to finish them and our girls love them. My word for 2024 is Breathe. I love that you love Prairie Schooler. It is one of my favorite. I made a quilt out of 12 days of Santas. I have a Prairie Schooler wall. There is about 50 of them. Glad Roberta was alright on the plane. My biggest fear to need a Dr on a flight. I am a retired nurse. And fly byself quite a bit. Love Prairie year! I have done various ones bit not all. Love the video! .I wanted to do 12 on new year eve but my granddaughter will be here. I did it last year. I liked it. I have no daughters but my daughter in law started cross stitching. We spent 3days at Christmas stitching watching Dr martin and drinking tea. I was in heaven.

Sounds like a wonderful Christmas holiday! My husband and I have been binge watching the last few seasons of Doc Martin. Wouldn't you love to live in that village! I was relieved that we were only 30 minutes from landing when I got sick. My supervisor got very ill coming home from a mission trip in Africa and I was thinking how miserable and scary it would be to have such a long flight ahead when feeling so sick.
Lennie, I stitched dear daughter of mine, finished it in December for my daughters birthday on the 23; it finished to about 8 inches, framed it in a 12 inch square gold frame, turned out beautiful. Should have started it in July. 😂. Love you all, Roberta so glad you are feeling better. Looking forward to you all this year, you keep me company with lots of beautiful stitching and laughs. I was excited to hear Linnie say that her grandson was dating an ISU student. Both my husband and I graduated from Iowa State. And Roberta I am glad that you did not get a concussion from your fall. I grew up a Hawkeye fan but hoped our older son would consider Iowa State since he was an engineering major, but instead he went to Colorado State and never came back. Wish he lived closer although visiting Colorado is always fun!
Our youngest son went to Iowa State. However as soon as he graduated he moved to Denver Colorado. So I can relate to your feelings. Love the mountains, but miss him.

Something I have tried to teach myself for years... you don't have to be the most productive person in the room to have value, your worth is not connected to how much you do. My word last year was ENOUGH. As in, I have enough and I am enough. Well, I didn't work the word in my favor because I bought so much. I now have waaaaaay more than enough. I think when I shopped, I thought, did I get enough. 😂😅😂 I don't have a word or resolution for this year. 😊 I'm so glad you are better from the airplane incident. I have to admit I have struggled with comparison and FOMO. From an early age I've always been compelled to stay busy so also trying to resist the urge to fill all my time with activity as I know I benefit from time to sit and reflect. Happy New Year!
Loved seeing all your things you plan to stitch in 2024. I decided to do all Blackbirds Designs for my 24 in 2024. I picked one larger project and then I will do a stocking from the monthly series from years ago. I also wanted to do WIPGO so that I could finish one or two of my older projects. So many things to do in cross stitch and I have a boat load of things that need to be quilted on the longarm! Guess I need to get up earlier and stay up later. Happy New Year!!! I’d love to make it a Prairie Schooler Santa year too. So fun to see all your projects. I’m going to continue my word “contentment”. We had our airport mishap in September. Hubby caught his luggage on the escalator. It pulled him back. Thank goodness 2 men caught him before he tumbled backwards. They had to rush and get the escalator stopped. I was traveling with vertigo. Not recommended to do. Son told us we’re only allowed to use the elevator now.
Oh that would be a scary thing. So glad those two guys were paying attention. I know it probably takes more time to get the elevator but the extra time is probably worth it!

After seeing your Christmas patches Santa, I dug out my pattern and stitched away.Years ago I stitched the ornaments but left Santa behind. the nice thing about stitching the patches, is that if a stitch or two is out of place, it’s not noticeable because of the uneven patches. Hi Eva. So happy you brought Patches out. Yes it is a forgiving stitch. It’s fun to bring out older patterns to remind us how much we loved them when we bought them. Ike is doing ok. Still can’t get wounds to close. We’ve missed the last two doctors appt due to the snow. Can’t get him out and afraid he will fall. We do have home health so we can change his dressing. I’m finally catching up on flosstube. Happy new year ladies. I’m so glad you’re OK Roberta what an experience over the holiday. Thankfully you were with your husband. I always worry about being alone and something happening. Love seeing all of your projects. I do have a word of the year this year and it’s focus. I really need to use what I have like you. I have so many wips and projects going. I need to go on a chart diet! I think I’ll commit to do only the things I have started or kitted up. I’m really trying to restrain when I see other things come out. I do like to go through all of my things and that’s the plan for the first of the year. It might take a couple months, but I want to really look and see what projects that I have kitted and started if they will actually get stitched, I have way too much to do in a lifetime! Let alone, organizing it all! Lol
Oh I love that phrase, chart diet! Don't we all need to do that! I'm going to start listing some of my pieces that I'll probably not get around to stitching so I don't have so many just sitting on my shelves and hopefully someone else can enjoy it.

I really enjoy your videos. Hey Roberta i have a great tip to mark the fabric to show the right side up. Take a tiny snip off the upper left top of the fabric... a little triangle.. and you will always remember which side is the top. I have been doing this for years. I read it somewhere. 😊

I usually have more than that if you count ornaments, so it shouldn't be a problem. I picked out 24 priorities I want to finish. And yes, I do pick a word of the year...last year it was vibrant. I have decided for myself that this is the year of the Prairie Schooler. I have ordered the fall sampler patterns and the PS Christmas one that has The Night Before Christmas. Someone posted a finish on FB of The Night Before Christmas and I loved it so I ordered that one as well. I stitched some smalls from the December book and made them into ornaments for my daughter and myself. I have an entire notebook designated to PS Christmas patterns. The rest of my Prairie Schoolers are divided by seasons or holidays. I love stitching them and I have several PS ornaments. Anyway, I could go on and on. I did not do the 12 x 12 as that would have made me crazy. I worked on two WIPS that I want to finish. As for 24 starts I do that anyway. I have stitched a lot of smalls and they add up fast especially stitching ornaments for the grandkiddos. I do want to stitch some larger pieces this year. One of my words for 2024 is intentional. I want to be more intentional about what I stitch. I also want to be more intentional about what I do everyday. Peace is another word that I want to incorporate into my life. Thanks for sharing all of your beautiful projects. I started a new small sampler tonight while watching you and then worked on Christmas WIP I started two or three years ago. And Linnie, your bedtime story is my story. Lol Happy New Year!

I was looking at the HATS website today and especially the Mrs Campbell sampler. I’ve had it kitted up but never started for a couple of years now. There are three corrections on that sampler listed on the website. I’m going to check my chart today. Thought I would mention it just in case your chart was one of the first print runs. Another great floss tube. I’ve been planning my 2024 projects in December and one series I am starting is Nora Corbett’s Christmas Eve Couriers. Eight reindeers, Santa’s sleigh and Rudolph. I figure I can do one each month and I plan to make a mantle piece with the designs. Oof! Assembling the beads and specialty threads is taking some time but it will be my first Nora Corbett design. Happy New Year and keep warm!

I wanna work on 12 WIPs for NYE, but one hour is not enough so I’m using three days to give two hours to each. My NYE, my rules!!! I didn’t do a word of the year for a couple of years, but this year I had one word rolling around in my mind: RELATIONSHIPS. I want to cultivate my relationships with my hubby, my grown kids, MYSELF, and our finances as we move towards retirement. But most of all, I want to grow my relationship with Jesus!! Hi, Happy New Year! I also like Prairie Schooler lately. I bought quite a few last year. One i bought was “prairie Lodge”. You may want to look that one up…..it’s very woodsy smalls. I, however, am doing a one piece with them (a grouping)…..as i stitch it, i will design the edging as i go along. So far so good…..i have the deer done, lol.

Enjoyed the video today, Girls, and going through your WIPS. It’s always enabling to watch a WIP parade. Linnie, I am stitching along with the #NorthPole SAL also and using Vickie Clayton’s too. Loving it!! Oh and January is #2 in the assignments. Roberta, I love your new start-“A Heart Remembers.” I stitched that in memory of my son this last year. I’m so sorry about the loss of your son. I can’t even imagine. The North Pole is a great stitch. I started at the top and started working down. You two crack me up. I think the 1984 Prairie Schooler chart was .50 when I bought it that year. If you lay out the charts in order, you will find they are somewhat themed for several years in a row. Happy New Year ladies🎉🎉. 2 of my FFO's for 2023 were Daughter of Mine and Mrs Campbell both a joy to do. As we have 2 daughters, (1 now a Campbell ) the incentive was there to finish them and our girls love them. My word for 2024 is Breathe. Just to stop and breathe in whats around me as life can be bit hectic sometimes. Love your floss tubes. Looking forward to more.

I love that you love Prairie Schooler. It is one of my favorite. I made a quilt out of 12 days of Santas. I have a Prairie Schooler wall. There is about 50 of them. Glad Roberta was alright on the plane. My biggest fear to need a Dr on a flight. I am a retired nurse. And fly byself quite a bit. Love Prairie year! I have done various ones bit not all. Love the video!
.I wanted to do 12 on new year eve but my granddaughter will be here. I did it last year. I liked it. I have no daughters but my daughter in law started cross stitching. We spent 3days at Christmas stitching watching Dr martin and drinking tea. I was in heaven.

Sounds like a wonderful Christmas holiday! My husband and I have been binge watching the last few seasons of Doc Martin. Wouldn't you love to live in that village! I was relieved that we were only 30 minutes from landing when I got sick. My supervisor got very ill coming home from a mission trip in Africa and I was thinking how miserable and scary it would be to have such a long flight ahead when feeling so sick.
Lennie, I stitched dear daughter of mine, finished it in December for my daughters birthday on the 23; it finished to about 8 inches, framed it in a 12 inch square gold frame, turned out beautiful. Should have started it in July. 😂. Love you all, Roberta so glad you are feeling better. Looking forward to you all this year, you keep me company with lots of beautiful stitching and laughs. Best always.

I grew up a Hawkeye fan but hoped our older son would consider Iowa State since he was an engineering major, but instead he went to Colorado State and never came back. Wish he lived closer although visiting Colorado is always fun!
Our youngest son went to Iowa State. However as soon as he graduated he moved to Denver Colorado. So I can relate to your feelings. Love the mountains, but miss him.

My word last year was ENOUGH. As in, I have enough and I am enough. Well, I didn't work the word in my favor because I bought so much. I now have waaaaaay more than enough. I think when I shopped, I thought, did I get enough. 😂😅😂

Loved seeing all your things you plan to stitch in 2024. I decided to do all Blackbirds Designs for my 24 in 2024. I picked one larger project and then I will do a stocking from the monthly series from years ago. I also wanted to do WIPGO so that I could finish one or two of my older projects. So many things to do in cross stitch and I have a boat load of things that need to be quilted on the longarm! Guess I need to get up earlier and stay up later. Happy New Year!!! I’d love to make it a Prairie Schooler Santa year too. So fun to see all your projects. I’m going to continue my word “contentment”. We had our airport mishap in September. Hubby caught his luggage on the escalator. It pulled him back. Thank goodness 2 men caught him before he tumbled backwards. They had to rush and get the escalator stopped. I was traveling with vertigo. Not recommended to do. Son told us we’re only allowed to use the elevator now.
Oh that would be a scary thing. So glad those two guys were paying attention. I know it probably takes more time to get the elevator but the extra time is probably worth it!
Oh no that could have been terrible. Thank goodness there was help. Who would think something like that would happen. I’m working on another PS right now. I so want to make a quilt at the end of the year. Take care and happy new year ❤

After seeing your Christmas patches Santa, I dug out my pattern and stitched away.Years ago I stitched the ornaments but left Santa behind. the nice thing about stitching the patches, is that if a stitch or two is out of place, it’s not noticeable because of the uneven patches. Still can’t get wounds to close. We’ve missed the last two doctors appt due to the snow. Can’t get him out and afraid he will fall. We do have home health so we can change his dressing. I’m finally catching up on flosstube. Happy new year ladies. I’m so glad you’re OK Roberta what an experience over the holiday. Thankfully you were with your husband. I always worry about being alone and something happening. Love seeing all of your projects. I do have a word of the year this year and it’s focus. I really need to use what I have like you. I have so many wips and projects going. I need to go on a chart diet! I think I’ll commit to do only the things I have started or kitted up. I’m really trying to restrain when I see other things come out. I do like to go through all of my things and that’s the plan for the first of the year. It might take a couple months, but I want to really look and see what projects that I have kitted and started if they will actually get stitched, I have way too much to do in a lifetime! Let alone, organizing it all! Lol
Oh I love that phrase, chart diet! Don't we all need to do that! I'm going to start listing some of my pieces that I'll probably not get around to stitching so I don't have so many just sitting on my shelves and hopefully someone else can enjoy it.

I really enjoy your videos. Hey Roberta i have a great tip to mark the fabric to show the right side up. Take a tiny snip off the upper left top of the fabric... a little triangle.. and you will always remember which side is the top. I have been doing this for years. I read it somewhere. 😊

Wishing you both a happy day/evening of stitching tomorrow on NYEVE. We have family here so I won't be participating. I'm so glad you are ok, Roberta. What a scary incident, and I'm so glad your husband was there with you. My 24 in 24 is just going to be 24 finishes. I usually have more than that if you count ornaments, so it shouldn't be a problem. I picked out 24 priorities I want to finish. And yes, I do pick a word of the year...last year it was vibrant. This year it is grace. I need to give myself and everyone else more grace. Wishing you both many blessings this year.

I have decided for myself that this is the year of the Prairie Schooler. I have ordered the fall sampler patterns and the PS Christmas one that has The Night Before Christmas. Someone posted a finish on FB of The Night Before Christmas and I loved it so I ordered that one as well. I stitched some smalls from the December book and made them into ornaments for my daughter and myself. I have an entire notebook designated to PS Christmas patterns. The rest of my Prairie Schoolers are divided by seasons or holidays. I love stitching them and I have several PS ornaments. Anyway, I could go on and on. I did not do the 12 x 12 as that would have made me crazy. I worked on two WIPS that I want to finish. As for 24 starts I do that anyway. I have stitched a lot of smalls and they add up fast especially stitching ornaments for the grandkiddos. I do want to stitch some larger pieces this year. One of my words for 2024 is intentional. I want to be more intentional about what I stitch. I also want to be more intentional about what I do everyday. Peace is another word that I want to incorporate into my life. Thanks for sharing all of your beautiful projects. I started a new small sampler tonight while watching you and then worked on Christmas WIP I started two or three years ago. And Linnie, your bedtime story is my story. Lol Happy New Year!

Another great floss tube. I’ve been planning my 2024 projects in December and one series I am starting is Nora Corbett’s Christmas Eve Couriers. Eight reindeers, Santa’s sleigh and Rudolph. I figure I can do one each month and I plan to make a mantle piece with the designs. Oof! Assembling the beads and specialty threads is taking some time but it will be my first Nora Corbett design. Happy New Year and keep warm!

I wanna work on 12 WIPs for NYE, but one hour is not enough so I’m using three days to give two hours to each. My NYE, my rules!!!
I didn’t do a word of the year for a couple of years, but this year I had one word rolling around in my mind: RELATIONSHIPS. I want to cultivate my relationships with my hubby, my grown kids, MYSELF, and our finances as we move towards retirement. But most of all, I want to grow my relationship with Jesus!!

Contentment is a good word and something I do try to strive for, but obviously fall short since I keep buying more stitching stuff! Am definitely planning to be somewhat more disciplined in 2024!

Hi, Happy New Year! I also like Prairie Schooler lately. I bought quite a few last year. One i bought was “prairie Lodge”. You may want to look that one up…..it’s very woodsy smalls. I, however, am doing a one piece with them (a grouping)…..as i stitch it, i will design the edging as i go along. So far so good…..i have the deer done, lol.
I did look it up and its super cute! I bet that will look great all stitched together!

I noticed a design in your lead-in and would love to know the title and designer if you are willing to share. Beautifully done! It was shown at about the 52-55 second mark-a deer with keys hanging from his ear and a village nestled in his antlers. That looks like a chart I would love to stitch. Thanks!

Design is called Autumn Towne by Autumn Lane Stitchery. I bought it as a download and was the most fun in stitching. It has nice blocks of stitching. It also has special meaning to me. I worked on it when my husband was in the hospital and recovering. I’m so happy I finishes. It also was my first professional frame. Thank you and Happy new year ❤
I’m sorry wrong pattern. I think it was Kathy Barricks Dancer. It was located in the PNPS December issue in 2021. It was my all time favorite stitch except for my Autumn Towne. ❤

Like the two of you, I have so many projects I want to do, but since I'm a monogamous stitcher, I sure better live as long as my father! I'm 73 and he is turning 107 in two weeks. He still lives in his own home and cooks his breakfast every morning. I love all of your work as well as the videos you do for all of us. Happy New Year to each of you!!!

Enjoyed the video today, Girls, and going through your WIPS. It’s always enabling to watch a WIP parade. Linnie, I am stitching along with the #NorthPole SAL also and using Vickie Clayton’s too. Loving it!! Oh and January is #2 in the assignments. Roberta, I love your new start-“A Heart Remembers.” I stitched that in memory of my son this last year. I thought it was the most beautiful chart ever created. Hope you girls have a very Happy New Year and I’ll see you in the year to come!
I’m so sorry about the loss of your son. I can’t even imagine. The North Pole is a great stitch. I started at the top and started working down. The border is almost finished and I have many trees done and down to Santa’s face. I have the assignment now so I will try to get on track. Please take care and have a blessed new year ❤

You two crack me up. I think the 1984 Prairie Schooler chart was .50 when I bought it that year. If you lay out the charts in order, you will find they are somewhat themed for several years in a row. She did sports, animals, sewing themes. I can’t wait to see which ones you finally landed on for the quilt. Happy New Year and happy stitching!
