Hi ya Dan. Tornado is a lovely looking clean loco. Brilliant repair as usual Dan. Great meeting you at GETS, really enjoyable weekend. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete and Su....
Very sad news about Christopher Goodman, another one of our model railway family lost but not forgotten .Nice tribute Dan, I can now put a face to the voice. Keep up the good work repairing locos. Thank you
That’s a sad turn of events - big thumbs up to you for the respect shown to Chris and his family by dedicating the episode to him in the way you did. A reminder that life / time is precious and should be spent wisely.
Well said Dan also great to be able to put a face to the voice. Really appreciate your work helped me out no end of times. Keep doing what you do as it's very entertaining regards Sam Woodward 😊
Sad to hear about Chris. As we get older, those bad news stories seem to happen way too often. I pictured you very differently than your on-screen appearance. Not that it matters. Good on you Dan!
Hi Dan. Oh what sad news regarding Chris. If his family read the comments, then I would like to pass my condolences onto them too. The Model Railway community is a relatively small one, and many of us are connected by our liking of channels such as this one. Dan, you handled the situation with the respect and decency it deserved.
Very nice of Judy, Chris's wife, to donate the loco to you. And Dan, you must also be praised, wrong word!, for passing on that fine loco to your son. First class!.
Well said Dan.Sad to lose a fellow modeller at the best of times, but this situation has been totally different.Condolences to Christopher's Family & Friends.RIP fellow modeller.
I'm sorry to hear that the Tornado ower Chris never got to see his loco running again. For it was an excellent rebuild and service, Dan. I send my Deepest Sympathies to Chris's family and to you, Dan. His memory will continue to run through the sessions of this Tornado model on your layout.
Hi Dan. A very good job on chris's loco. Its a shame that he didn't get a chance to see it run. One thing that I would like to add is why you don't have some kind of catch fencing on you track in the garden. If anyobstacle caused a derailment your loco's would take a hefty plunge to the ground , just a thought. Regards.
UM HUM, from a battery? You only get a hum from an A/C source. It doesn't matter how good the smoothing is you'll always get some A/C on D/C from a train controller. But a battery is pure D/C.

I meant the motor was not humming. When power is applied to the model they produce a hum or buzz if they are trying to work but can’t.
Piston Rod, not valve !
