If you've read The Railway Series, you know Duck's number is 5741. Please, keep this livery option open- there's a queue lining up already for it and the lighter shade really *pops* , even if it's inauthentic, it looks good.
These look gorgeous. My first ever locomotive was a Hornby 2721, and it's still my favourite even though it's 30 years old (and the tooling even older!). These are another level of detail!
As much as I'm of the mindset that goes "ugh, another kettle", I have to admit, the detail is amazing. I'd happily welcome more L&YR and L&NWR locomotives
Please let us purchase a 5741 in your "typo" Green paint scheme. It looks just like the real deal from The Railway Series. You know what you did and it worked. I would happily purchase it.
😅 typo my a***, Steve - funny how the typo coincidentally matches Duck's livery and number. Very funny, that. My money is on a "whoops, we accidentally ordered a small number of 5741 models in that colour, better make it an accurascale exclusive" announcement 😉 PS they all look lovely and I'd like one of each, please. Just need to sell a few possessions and internal organs...
Red number plates. I was always under the impression that red backed name/number plates were an unofficial 'trade mark' of Plymouth Laira shed. I know they are generally popular among Western fans though.
Would love to see 'duck' available... hmmm, some how I don't think this was a mistake, I recon they wanted to pass it off as a mistake and see how people reacted :D
Perfect for a lunchtime watch when working from home. I'm not a fan of this class but I am tempted by the London Transport as I have some other locos and rolling stock. I think the fake coal looks awful though and it is a turn off.
I love that shade of green on 5741. Would prefer it to be produced in that colour but will be happy when mine arrives regardless
yea.. seems like even some people in the non-thomas community want that livery, and they're just TEASING us with that decorated sample

Great to see Steve's superb knowledge of the subject getting an airing.
Dude, that 5741 is absolutely legendary. The lads at accurascale knew what they were doing with that 😉
They do look excellent.
that brighter shade of green on 5741 looks lovely! even if it's a bit inauthentic, i would love at least one model with that color to make it through.
Brilliant looking models. Kings and Castles next, please!
I have a shirtbutton on order, I wish I could order another two. So look forward to mine. What a lovely model.
Hi, that was a great video. I like all the various detail differences, and to have someone point these out is great. Thank you.
5741 is excellent as is, especially given its fictional history. I would highly recommend keeping it as is (or offering it to customers as is)
Please leave 5741 in that shade of green.. we all know why you did it.. an it worked! Take a note out of Rapidos book an jus have fun!
A “typo” 😉
Great video and the pannier tank engines look great
Another superbly informative video - thanks
So glad I preordered, these look grand! (Slipped fingers and pressed the wrong key my arse :D Keep a livery like that for 5741 :D )

Fantastic model
Do the factory use the RAL colour code system? The LT maroon red is several shades out.

Pity there's no Southern examples like the ones allocated to Nine Elms or Folkstone. Maybe next batch?
Another vote here to keep the green on 5741 👌🏽
That typo literally made Duck, lowkey hope they produce thaht 5741!
5775 in GN&SR livery would be a lovely special edition
Hoping Steve draws up some narrow gauge again in the future ;)

So show of hands, who prefers 5741's livery and who doesn't? Juat curious.
many do!

Love them panniers tooo muchRegards Lizzie
I know I'd be tempted if the green on 5741, not prototypical but still looks nice.
Looking great, except for the coal that needs work to bring it up to spec with the rest!
You could use this chassis for a custom donald/douglas👀

looking great!
The take away from this is there is a need for smaller but heavier stay alives.
They look fantastic, looking forward to receiving the BR black one
Were non of these fitted with copper topped chimneys in real life?
Some were like the 94XX locos, however a vast majority of the pannier tanks just had cast chimneys.
@@hornbymag great shame none of these new tanks were given it. It's a classy feature
@@stufindlow6664 No 57xx or 8750's were ever fitted with copper capped chimneys in real life unfortunately
Forget the tops, look at the main body of the chimney. There was a taper towards the top . . .
I hope that LT Maroon gets changed. It looks far too bright to me.
Far far to bright
It will Steve said so
