Hi mate . This can happen with a lot of various plants during the year! But youll never educate people that just want to get it buy it and see what happens to it! I do think that nurseries should be more informative of the plant when its in a pot, and how long its been in it!, and wether it grown or planted! I brought what i thought was a grass plant - no info on label, just a price , i got it planted it in garden-two years later, it was over23 foot high! Honestly, i measured it when cut some of it down. Hey ho - id bought a giant reed, but i luv it 😂. All best Steve.👍🌴

Hi Steve, yes I have had stocks of newly potted on plants come in from the wholesalers which in my mind is just a con! 23 ft high, was that Spanish reed by any chance? Simon

Hi simon. Yes ? Looking at various photos on google i think it is a splanish reed😂. Its a very tall and evasive, but i keep it under control. If i bend it hardly it snaps and a hell of a lot of water comes out of it! Happy xmas. Ps do you own a nusery or centre? Steve.

Hi Steve. I can see that the Splanish slip of the tongue is going to haunt me. No, I don't own a garden centre or nursery, although I have managed a number of them over the years. However, you never know what the future may bring. Thanks for getting in touch. Simon
