2D Ohsabanan visited on 9th August 2014

Deep in the forest, the Ohsabanan offers a long14.5km run from Ohs Bruk to
[Bor] Norra, and back, through Småland primeval forest past small lakes and meadows.
This video records the pre and post journey preparation and the journey from an open coach .... the coal smuts not showing in the video 8-) This was a steam hauled run followed, as usual, by a 'Fire-Train' to put out any verges set alight by sparks ... in hot periods diesel haulage replaces the steam engines. As the train, traditional in sweden, follows the land's contours, it has its ups and downs through the forest... so watch for the brakeman operating the coach brakes on a downhill segment !
