    This was super helpful. I buy homemade soaps and I feel that the cold press, despite the wait for them, makes my skin feel "cleaner". Meaning, I don't want my skin to feel slick after I rinse the soap off. (I used to be an Irish Spring girl if that helps. Lol!)
    This is a super informative video and was exactly what I was looking for to learn the difference in cold VS hot process soaps. Thank you so much! ❤️

    Thank you for making and sharing this video. I've actually had this question as somebody who wants to start making soap and you've really helped me to decide which type I would prefer to make. I think I'm going to be a hot process soap kind of girl.

    I am a seasoned soaper and I'm in agreement with you. I prefer my HP soaps but I do make more CP soaps. With HP I like the fact that I can control the superfat, I think they're creamier and are just more luxurious. But I do enjoy the option to make "pretty" CP soaps and make more in less time.

      Looks like I'm awfully late coming to this video, but, if you're around: does the HP making a creamier and more luxurious bar also mean that the bar disappears faster?

      @amymarie7403 my hot process bars last just as long as cold process…I’ve never noticed a difference, but I realize the recipe must be taken into consideration.

      I like to put my liquid and hard oils in the crock pot at the same time so the oil is all the same temperature, but I wait just until my silk to dissolved into the lye water before I add it to the melted oils.

      I have been making HP for years and make in 5lb batches in a 6 quart crockpot that results into 16- 1" bars/ batch. CP is fun with the colorants and techniques but I really just stick to vegan essential oil scented soaps and only use clays, charcoal & micas to color and that pairs well with the HP. just stumbled on your videos and love them!

    • @agirlagoat1193
      @agirlagoat1193  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Melt and pour is completely different. With melt and pour, it’s just that... you buy a block of soap from a manufacturer and melt it then add scent or color then pour it in a mold.
      You aren’t actually making the soap, but it is a creative process that a lot of people enjoy.
      I hope that helps
