Christopher was just toxic and selfish and childish, I cannot even express my loathing of him.... I cannot believe Lorelei broke up with Luke and dated him instead, like isn't that the biggest downgrade in history!!! I'm literally still seething as I write this 😭
Christopher was a great guy, all in all. He just wasn't right for Lorelei at any point. They started too young to think "forever..no problem". She was able to acknowledge that. When he might have been, he screwed up with his "freedom before I'm ready". I don't blame him, it just wasn't right.. by the time they wanted to "give it a shot" they were in different places and "settling for the comfort they knew"🤷 Sookie is right.... Lorelei loves Luke... Circumstances might keep them apart. But that doesn't change where her heart really is
Excuse me, Lorelai didn't break up, she was betrayed and neglected by Luke, he wasn't honest and they were never great at communication. I just really hated the April storyline. It got so messy and downright nasty
I hate how Lorelai was convincing herself Christopher was the one she had to end up with when she wasn't happy at all, she was forcing happy and didn't enjoy being with him anymore, the fire they had ended when he had a second child.
Suki has gone into partnering with Loreli in their own inn/business.. gotten married and gotten married, birth raised children since the beginning of the series. Of course she is going to be looking differently as she has gained confidence self-esteem, stability - even is delegating better.
Lorelai knew Chris wasn't the one from ye start, waay before meeting Luke. Chris was too immature and he loved Lorelai but that's it. He was never ready to be a dad. Rory was kinda in his way of their relationship. If that is not a big red flag to you, i don't onow what is. Luke was very annoying to me always grumpy and unpleasent for no reason, but damn, that man, stepped up for dead beat dads more then once. He was def the dad Rory needed. And Lorelia reached the age where you put your kid before anything more
It's such a sad story. Luke ruined their relationship with his daughter and the lies, not because he is a terrible person, he was just overwhelmed. And Lorelai was hurt and did the absolute wrong thing, going back to Chris, who was finally a better man. Chris and Lorelai both hoped, it would work, rather than truly believing it.
I don't think there will ever be a one with Lorelai, she's too inmature and selfish. Luke worked out for her because he gives her all she wants without caring about his own needs or wishes
