Nicely done! Here in Argentina we have Dorados from Iguazu down to the coast of Rio de la Plata in front of Buenos Aires city. Big 20kg you can find in the north Parana river. Unfortunately, its being overkilled, and its endangered.
I live in SE Iowa. A friend of mine from Utah used to fly fish the lakes around here. People would shake their heads when he rigged up but then he would start catching fish! And yup, catfish would take his flies off the surface.
Getting to be to many gringos. Nice video though. Used to be word of mouth but I’m afraid internet videos are going to ruin it. I frequent Bolivia and it’s treasures. My wife is Bolivian and my son is of the indigenous blood. Let’s not trash it folks. It is wild and pristine.

This is a beautiful video, and speaking as an explorer of Bolivia myself, there are some gorgeous, absolutely untouched places in the Bolivian Amazon (including the Andes! April, Love the great casting and the lovely catch. I was in Bolivian as it's my country of origin. I too was in the search of the great dorado but as luck would have it there were unseasonably rain storms and could not go down the rivers to fish. My question to you is what type of gear did you use and also which flies were successful. I plan on going back in the near future and plan on taking a 10W rod with 650G tropical ultra fast sinking head and intermediate sinking running line. Any advice would be helpful, thank you for the great video and hope to hear back.
