    It's always tough as a coach of a team you've invested so much time and processing it after you part ways. Can't take away from your success as a team, GL with what's next man

    • @theone3337
      @theone3337 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Gregan, I think you were a coach too right? I have a lot to say about this subject. People keep asking:what’s wrong with NRG or top teams when they’re not on top anymore. The more people play RL, the harder it gets to be the best. Obviously it’s easier to be the best when there’s 10 000 players than when there’s 100 000, that’s why a lot of retired pros like Rizzo probably can’t even get to SSL. So it’s perfectly normal for yesterday’s best teams to get dethroned, what bothers me is the no loyalty part cause it’s a business. The players have so much pressure on them that they fire coaches, get rid of teammates like how Retals got kicked from SSG, how Turbo got kicked from NRG. Yes some people jump on the bandwagon of any winning team, but most people will be a fan of players or teams whether they win or lose, example Ahmad is my favorite player to watch, win or lose! All this to say, there should be loyalty, team should be like family, unlike kicking a teammate off the team cause we know a better player. But it’s a business and everything changes when there’s money involved. But it can backfire, like a lot of people turned on SSG for kicking Retals

    • @cruant
      @cruant 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Is it normal for players to kick their coach off the team without atleast confronting them about it?? Seems pretty fucked up tbh

      @@theone3337 loyalty? You’re looking at it from an outsider’s perspective. Just because you see three people teaming doesn’t mean they love hanging out or even get along. Furthermore, RLCS is a competition and winning is necessary to keep your job. People bandwagoned against arsenal because of primacy bias, they heard retals tragic, heart wrenching, sob story of getting kicked(a move which ANYONE could see coming) and immediately blamed arsenal. When I’m reality, it’s a blameless situation and clearly the right move as SSG look better than ever.

    Rizzo retired and focused on content, and look where he is now. He is on Moist, he is one of the most viewed rocket league streamers on twitch, and he has 638k subs on youtube. No doubt in my mind that you won't be able to do the same, you are hilarious and I could watch you all day. I hope you will still continue to play with the NRG boys from time to time, and I hope whatever happens is the best possible outcome. NRG doesn't want him to coach the team, but they're ok with using his name and him playing with them and making content with them? After he got fired? No way, he deserves an organization that feels like they just hit the jackpot by scooping him up. Love the group, but Sizz deserves a fresh start.

    That's a gut punch, I know exactly how it feels to be let go unexpectedly. When it happened to me, all I could think about was the people I loved that I wouldn't get to work with every day moving forward. I felt like it was a huge setback, but unexpectedly my career ended up taking off directly because of the next job I got right afterwards. I found so many opportunities that I wouldn't have found if I were still working with my head down in the previous role, so being laid off ended up being the absolute best thing to happen to me.
    Your head is in the right place, thinking about the various routes you can go. And just look at every one of these comments. You have a loyal base of supporters that will love you regardless of what your job title is. In conclusion, it's normal and totally valid to feel down about what happened, but trust that you are just going to climb to even higher heights now! Rooting for you!

    I can relate. I was working a job for 4 years and put everything I had into it. It was exhausting at times but I wanted to make sure I did everything I could for the people on the team I was leading. Many of them were working three jobs to make ends meet and under a lot of stress. When I got pushed out it hurt a lot but it gave me time to think about what I really wanted in life and now I'm back in school. In the end I think it was a good thing for me. Watched this while listening to my random playlist on my phone, and Letters To God started playing by Box Car Racer.... Made the feels hit a little bit ngl. Love ya Sizz; don't change a thing you're doing bro. One of the most important things that I feel you bring to the team and community is to remember to have fun with RL, as it is just a game at the end of the day. The more the skill ceiling increases, the more that fun seems to be disappearing from a lot of the community, and you consistently bring it every single time, and at the highest level of play, which is important. I've cry-laughed at multiple of your vids bro. Keep bringing the good times to the game and GL man.

    Honestly, from a tactical and strategy perspective, a new coach that can potentially give a better plan for each opponent seems like the best move. I've felt like that's what NRG has been missing.
    With that being said, I appreciate everything you gave to NRG and I hope that any wounds you might have from this heal quick. I do think you bleed NRG and I would love for you to stay on to do content for them, if that's possible for you.
    I have nothing but love for you Sizz. You and Rizzo's videos are some of my favorite to watch. I wish you all the best dude and I hope you stay with NRG.

    Thank you for getting me on the NRG bandwagon. I really wish that in the future there are other coaches like you. You’ve got the passion, humor, and commitment to do whatever you want with your future. Whatever that may be, I wish the best of luck to you. Again, thank you for all that you have done in the RLCS scene. You may not know it but you have left an unbelievably beneficial impact on everyone around you. ❤️

    I mean NRG did need a change but I’m surprised they chose to change the coach and not a single player. The team definitely needs a playstyle change.

    • @RewindMods
      @RewindMods 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The coach is the one that's supposed to be in charge of those changes. Been watching Sizz and NRG since the beginning but replacing the head coach makes a lotta sense to me as shitty as it is for Sizz.

    • @Denileism
      @Denileism 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RewindMods Only way it makes sense for me is if he had a heavy say in the playstyle. Because their playstyle is trash. We'll see they looked good in the closed qualifier so maybe this was a good change.

    I wish they could keep you on as the hype man and the mental coach. I feel like everything I've heard is that you keep the tilt in check and help with that end. I would love if they could get someone on to do the deep dives into the prep and replays and then also keep you on as the mental coach and tilt manager, keeping things light and fun and hype because you always kill it there. Good luck bro. Pulling for you.

    Inspiring video to watch, man. This video is a perfect example to everyone on how to handle a roster move/business decision with class. Don't burn bridges, don't alienate friends, players, or fans. You still left everything on the table for yourself. That's great to see. Sometimes in these situations, people unintentionally take things off the table for themselves just because of their reaction.
    Your focus is on the right things, as well: How can I make this good (or maybe even better) for myself in the long run?
    Because of these things, I know that no matter what you set your mind to, you'll be a success.
    Can't wait to see what you'll do next!

    This is sad because Sizz is not the problem. They needed a roster change in the off season to reset the mentality and give the players some motivation to move forward. I understand their reasons, they did it as a last resort for this roster, but I will say probably nothing will change and they will miss the major and kick someone on the next trade window.

    Just like in normal football teams need change and change in players is not always the one needed. I don't think you did anything wrong and you did put the effort in. However the change in coach is sometimes the very thing needed. Different view, perspective and/or coaching style can have positive impact on the team, it gives availability for something new and some freshness. These guys have been on top for very long time and have capability of going back to top, but with having same coach since the start sometimes it will limit the possible viewpoints, tactic etc, also being able to pinpoint the mistakes will be harder over time and fixes will not be as obvious. In your position I would possibly go into content creation and still do content with NRG boys on the channel and make that your focus point, while the new coach can focus solely on RLCS. Whatever happens I wish you best of luck 👍

    Keep your head up Sizz! You’ve done your best for the team and have accomplished what most other teams couldn’t. I think going for content is a great idea - in fact that was the first thing i thought of. You are super entertaining to watch and rest assured we’ll be here to support in whichever route you choose to go. Stay strong brother! 💪

    in all honesty dude, i feel content creation for you is your bread and butter, as much as coaching is your first trade so to speak, you make really good content, give you something to focus on rather then trying to balance coaching as well as content, i can't imagine that is easy, it will be less stress for you and honestly i personally feel that will be good for you, but obviously i don't know you personally but i think you know where i am coming from, just keep your head up, keep looking forward, i know you have the capability to do great things, you have shown that with not only coaching but content as well, you got this man, it's a tough decision but what ever you choose, i can guarantee the real ones got your back, stay awesome dude 😁✌️

Us as a supportive fan base won't allow you to be discouraged, you and the future of yourself have high potiental and will always be here for you.

We all believe in you and we all stand by your side which ever route you may choose to go. ❤ sizz

    Hey man its a competetive atmosphere changes are bound to happen. Proud of you for putting in the effort to try and help the team when they were struggling, that definitely means something and I hope the players appreciate that. Also, bro youre one of the funniest most energetic dudes making content, would love for some IRL stuff mixed in if thats even possible either way man I wish you the best I just have a feeling theres something on the horizon as long as you stay patient and understand that this ain the end of the road at all :)

    You're a good dude and super genuine. You definitely put a lot of love and effort into the team, but ultimately a change was needed. While I don't know if this was the correct move, we fans appreciate everything that you, JSTN, GarrettG, Squishy, and Turbo given that time. Thanks for being humble and respectful when I met you at Winter Major LA. Good luck in your endeavors.

    Hey Sizz,
    i didn't follow you that long, but it's heartbreaking to see you sit there and watch you surprised and shocked. You're one of (if not THE) funniest and happiest guy (with Rizzo of course) in whole RLCS.
    Sometimes things need to change and in Germany we say "Schließt sich eine Tür, öffnet sich eine andere", which basically means "if one door closes, another door opens". As sad as this is, i really think you will find your own way now and i would love to see you succeed and it doesn't matter which way you'll follow, as long as it makes you happy.
    Keep your head up bro!
    P.S. I understand the opinions of them. They are friends too and like every other (regular) sport, the coach can be replaced the easiest. But that doesn't mean, that they forget what you did to them and as you said, there is so much pressure on them, so they HAD to do anything to do better in the next regionals.
