    Aww, see me smiling from ear to ear watching this video. Australia is a gem. I will not live anywhere else if I had to choose all over again. When people start talking about snakes and spiders, my mind goes 'your loss!' Safe (no gun-toting crazies), family friendly, fat salary, near perfect weather year round, friendly locals and incredible natural beauty. What's not to love. You are doing the Lord's work!

    I lived in oz for 3 years on youth visas. I’m from the UK. I then moved to Singapore and then Canada. Everything you say is true. The only thing I would add is it’s a very expensive process applying for PR unless you get sponsored. This can be a barrier for a lot of people. I also heard of people being on temporary visas for 10 years and then forced to go home. Some are lucky to get PR in the country but many don’t. My advice would be to get PR before you go if you have a skill that is on top demand. More doors will open to you and you can feel more settled but property build a proper future and apply for work without restrictions. It also helps if you are under 45. Good luck.

    $ 21 AUD equals in real value to CAD. 21/1.1615982= $ 18.08 (to days exchange) . $18,08 X0 .85 (cost of living adjustment in comparison to Canada) = $ 15.37. So basically there is not much difference.
    Also in Canada you will see more choices of goods and services than Australia because of higher population and also Canadian economy is much more diversified.

    • @dammietees
      @dammietees  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My one advise for you will be to think this through properly as the cost of childcare in Australia is not cheap and not sure how much will be left for savings from your income after expenses because of the size of your family, so it is worth you spending time on some research and proper planning.

    Australia is a beautiful country, pristine beaches undeveloped bushland it could have been a paradise Once upon a time hard work would give you a great life, a comfortable life that is no longer how things are.
    Workers regularly die of exposure or get crushed in mining machinery working 12 hour days in the blazing sun of some outback town far from hospitals or police, crimes happen often and remain uninvestigated, suicides are common, drug use rife, workers just vanish never to be heard of again, farm accommodation is squalid and basic you're a slave in everything except name as they have your passport and you must meet visa requirements or be deported if you don't wind up buried in a field somewhere first, construction companies often go bankrupt without notice owing millions to workers and staff with no recourse and no chance of ever seeing your money then you get deported and blacklisted.
    Australia is pushing immigration hard as the next generation of Australian's refuse to work this exploitative system, basically the population of Australia is on strike for better conditions so the rulers are bringing in cheap labor from overseas to break the strike, earning 50-60k in Australia will barely give you a substandard life of poverty, mistreatment and deprivation.

    Interesting video but I feel you need to be honest and talk about the lack of opportunities for black people. Not even mentioning that this is an issue in Australia, I feel is not being very sincere. I have had black friends that have lived there and gone through a lot of inequality and discrimination …..please do not come for me for speaking facts

      Hi Sheila, not sure how many of my videos you have seen or if this particular one was the first but let me state this clearly that i am a very honest person and my videos are my unfiltered experience in Australia, your friends might have gone through what i have not experienced and that does not mean i am not honest. with that said i have a video that talks abt my experience as a black person in the office maybe check it out th-cam.com/video/9BOSUMwRpPQ/w-d-xo.html and many more videos on my overall experience here, i love it here and wont have it any other way. Thanks for your comment though and also i forgot to mention that this video was to address why i love Australia if you want one that address why i dont then i am happy to.

      Why do people act like ALL black people are going to experience the same thing wherever they go? You have the nerve to call someone dishonest because they love a place that your friend couldn't adapt to? That's wild. She clearly said "it varys from person to person".
