Cheers Paul - My first Koi fry experience but I have raised tropical fry , so I have that in the knowledge bank. But the way these guys develop so quick is mad the changes, can't keep up🤣 shows how important the experience is on this front. But agree really enjoyed it, would recommend any fish/koi keeper give this a ago. I shall be doing it again, hopefully with my own 😊
Nice work Dave, they are coming along ‘very’ well… 👍🏼 And you are hilarious…😂 😂 Didn’t realise you were quite the comedian… 🤣👍🏼 When you said…. “ I’m not planning on buying anymore koi this year….😂🤣 “ Just brilliant mate……. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 cheers Andy, this is now evidence if I later rely on it. You sound like the Mrs 🤣🤣 but no I'm not. Seriously. Unless there's a VHQ bargain to be had. Or something Gin rin 😂
@@OrchardKoi “but no I’m not. Seriously“ Dave, this is gettin better, you crack me up, you really do…. 😂🤣😂🤣😂 No, sorry mate, I should be more supportive of your battle against your addiction. I know you can do it, you will NOT purchase even ONE more Koi this year….. 😉👍🏼
This is the reason I never buy Koi that are much less than 25-30cm! Even though my pond is a reasonable size at over 4000 gallons, I don’t want it full of “Heinz 57” Koi, and once a Koi enters my pond it’s there for life. No “trading on or euthanising of healthy fish I’m afraid! My oldest Koi is over 30 years old and purchased when I knew nothing about them! It’s a Yellow Matsuba of sorts, almost certainly not Japanese and of very low quality! But that fish and one or two other ill judged purchases will live out their days, or possibly out live me in that pond!
Can understand that. I wont ethinise any of these, shall give them away to other good homes. They do love a long time my dad's pond is the same he got 40 year old fish in there.😊👍
Loved them all, would not have been able to separate my young ones, would have wanted to keep them all. Omg all looked great to me!
@@micheler3011 yeah it isn't easy. But I have kept them all, just not as much focus on the non keepers.🤣
Hi Dave,

Cheers Kevin. It really is! Now just to find a home for the rest , feel like the next selection will be even harder. All good fun tho.
Do they get killed?
@@markrobinson1369 they would be from a commercial point of view yes. I have kept all mine just moved to a different system .
looking good mate
Cheers dude 😊👍😎 winning good?🤣
I just couldn't bin any, I don't think I would make a good koi farmer 😅
Yeah it's hard. And that's exactly why I'm now in trouble for having 2 ibcs full of fry 🤣🤣
Same 😂
