Just because the new charger is only slightly faster doesn't make it not worth it. It uses gallium nitride components rather than silicon ones in the old charger, which result in less heat dissipation. And it has features such as over-current protection, lower noise and leakage

And a 50% in 15-20 mins is awesome to have. Now my s24 ultra gets frm 10-50% in 21 mins with 45w charger.. thats pretty decent I'd say.
Personally most of the time I charge my phone from 15-85% (protect battery on) so if needed I can get an emergency 45w full charge in under 30 min if I'm running low or forget to charge my phone. When you are on the go 45w vs 25w absolutely makes a difference People have different needs 25w is not enough when you're using your phone for emails, GPS, work and everything else. The problem is not the overall charging time as they are pretty similar but how much charge you can put in at 30-45 mins that's the biggest difference I would absolutely, without a question, pay the 50 bucks if it can get me faster charge when I need it
Since I’m not getting a charger in the bow and have a 5 year old 15w charger I’m probably getting the new 45w charger since it’s not that much more expensive and for me it’s not 0-100 that matter, more 0-as much as possible in a limited timeframe, for over night I’m using 5w anyways
I have the old 45w it takes precisly 1 hour no matter what i do from 0-100. But 2 years ago on my s20 ultra it took 52minutes but that was only for a week and then i got an update and it slowed down to 1 hour
honestly the chinese phones boast their 100W chargers or whatever they got going on, but that probably only damages battery longevity over time rather than provide anyone a significant gain. Publishing headlines of such a big number on the charge spec does sound impressive I will admit but after 15 watt charging had come out we basically got phones fully charged in almost an hour anyway. Probably why apple basically stopped pushing anymore than 20watts for phones. Only the people in a huge rush might care, and for 99% of the situations you might feel the need to have more charge more quickly you probably should have brought a battery bank because you are travelling or something like that.

After about 70% it will start lowering from 30W to around 20W. Still not sure what causing the occasional drops to ~half speeds... You can see in this video drops to ~10W
