i’ve been creeped out lately by the fact that I’ve gotten emails from Amazon, complaining that my credit card won’t allow them to charge a prime membership to my card.
this membership is something that I did not order.
If I hadn’t changed the credit card that I used, I don’t know that they wouldn’t be successful in charging my account for things that I didn’t ask for.
So from here on out, it makes sense to order things using a prepaid Amazon card, and take back my credit card information. Except there’s no obvious way to do that. In fact, it’s refusing to place any orders without getting an update on my credit card.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. Those guys will never get another credit card information from me again.

I wonder if there's a limit? We've had our account for years and there are a lot of cards we need to remove. After removing a few, it stopped allowing it, even the expired ones. I updated the expiration date on one before trying to delete it, still wouldn't delete.

My worry is that this method just removes it from your wallet. There is a note when you go to remove saying that any payments can still come from this card and it is still stored by Amazon. 😡
