I see the game mechanics in this trailer and they look very interesting. The whole mechanical bunny with a winding key could be to save your friends/NPCs or could be a mechanic in which you have to keep yourself going by winding yourself but it makes noise and can attract the monster. Very clever design and storytelling going on here and I like it. What's more, the "monster" reminds me so much of one of my favourite monsters in recent memory which is "The Crooked Man". Very cool.
didn’t realize I was looking forward to this until just now. the concept is genius and the antagonist is terrifying. Never heard of a game where you’re a windup doll. Wonder if there will be online multiplayer where you can play the “puppeteer” or whatever the clever name for that horrifying creature is.
I am in love with this monster design. I really dig tall and lanky creatures slowly following you, holding the top of a doorframe while it ducks under looking for you. It's so eerie and cool. Also this guy just takes his head off to take a bow and that's some spooky scary skeleton stuff that I love. Praying for this games success because I will for sure be picking this up on launch
I hope it does well too. This looks like the kind of early, uncanny stop motion animation that would have legitimately traumatize youth in the 90's. Horror isn't about polish; it's about something being slightly "off". I doubt anything from AAA could compare.

That being said, I also think it would be so awesome if this game was made instead as a more linear, horror-campaign format, with an ibtelligent AI like thr one form Alien Isolation, and a heavy focus on cooperation. Basically it could be like a four-peron coop, and with fewer players, the AI would control some of the bunnies as you traversed wicked and dangerous levels, doing all you can to stay one step ahead of the grandmaster. It could even have spare dolls lying around the level, or trapped in optional routes, so you could rescue a new doll for your friends to use if they got caught.
This looks really well done for a trailer, The Wind up Bunnies fleeing from what I can only assume is a older toy or the toy maker really has me hooked, plus a feature that lets you play "dead" is interesting you take out your wind up key and lay down pretending your not alive, but if we have wind up keys does that mean we're on a timer for how long we have to move unless we wind ourselves back up? This is gonna be a interesting title for sure
I think if the wind is taken out, they’re not “shut down” per se, could be more along the lines of “unable to move but conscious.” That’s why they wind each other back up, so they don’t suffer that fate. That’s my analysis and theory so far anyways.
@@BadassName17 I suspect it's more complex than that. By the trailer, they could still move without the windup being in them. Okay, we're all early, so let me y'all give you a small input of *WTF* 's happening here: The game is a lot like Dead by Daylight. You have a "Carnival Monster" and "Bunnies" -all which are players, two factions against each other. The Monster's idea is simple; catch all the Bunnies. The Bunnies must not get caught or exaust their winding up keys. These keys are also very interesting in design, as they are more bone than key -hence the end logo. Like wind-up toys, you automatically fall over once you've run out and your friends need to "rewind" you in a quick animation. The "upside" of this, is that you can play dead (so far, so obvious). The Monster we see here is called "The Magician". He works for a twisted carnival -specifically the "Candy Candy Circus" - in which he needs the "Bunnies" as practice targets. In another video, showcasing mechanics, we can see many rabbits littering the floor of the arena, and the arena including things like a knife-throw target, as well as scattered ropes, tools & objects. One half of the Magician's head is a saw: When he catches a final Bunny, he rips off their winding key and grinds it to shreds (a form of "eating" the key as well?) He also teleports into the game by a traditional appear-trick. ilke the Bunnies, he seems to be made from some sort of...wood? And his lower jaw includes his heart. His main abilities include "Teleportation" and "Phantom". One to port and one to appear & disappear. According to lore, the Magician indeed performs for audiences. He's also pretty good at it too, according to concept art. He can sacrifice Bunnies (actual bunnies) or children for his desire to perform -aka some weird devil contract, I guess. Ironically, his main trick is to pull a rabbit out of a hat. The Bunnies are literal children. Not adults with a monster, as seen in the mechanics vid. again, in which a gravestone reads "R.I.P. The Boy / same age" 1850-1857. With the Bunny finding it /implied through the picture story, we can conclude the characters are around the age of 7yo. (poor kids). The Bunnies can be identified by the Magician by investigation -aka he janks them a couple of times. If they drop a key, they are a player. If they don't, they are an NPC. Bunnies can hide their key pretending to play dead, but will hide it in their pockets. Hence the janking. There are more Bosses to come. They include "The Bird Lady" (a woman who lost their child, believing it to be still alive somewhere) and a Clown (cause of course they needed one). That's all there is yet.
So let me see: The survivor as usual: Survive the killer The killer: kills the survivors However: Notice how the bunny hides their wind-up key, and the killer steals their wind-up key as well. Conclusion: The survivor: Survive the killer, and keep up your wind-up key The killer: Find the survivors, take their wind-up key. as they are also the dolls, they must have need it also
So yea. From what I heard the bunnies need to wind up to stay alive because their battery essentially keeps running out. You’re being hunted. And you can fake run out and lie down but killer can still kill you.
This just looks amazing with the graphics and art and one of the things that scares me a lot is just how hopeless the little bunnies look like as if their children stuck in them 😭

...man, I love it when a trailer tells you absolutely nothing definitive about the gameplay, plot or mechanics. It's totally not just some kind of cinematic circle-jerk.
The visuals are just astounding, and make me incredibly curious about the lore of this world. I hope they don't skimp on the storytelling, because this really seems like an intriguing world to explore.
“Representative” it’s showing off the base mechanics pal. Even if it’s pre-rendered. That doesn’t mean you can’t do stuff like play dead and wind up the bunnies.
I'm going to be completely and utterly honest, I thought this was going to be another one of those 'horror for kids' games that have been trending recently, e.g. fnaf, poppy's playtime, batim, etc. but this genuinely looks cool. I still have a feeling in the back of my mind that it COULD end up becoming one of those games (I really hope not), but the wind-up rabbits and overall puppet + carnival aesthetic is really appealing.

the way the marauder shoulders his axe makes it seem so much better than the other looped animation versions of the meme
nice concept, hope the ideas deliver for gameplay
2:41 omfg that makes me so uncomfortable and I love it
If the game is 1/10 as good as this trailer, this game is going to be amazing
1/10? Wdym this game looks amazing
@@Bruhman_YUSS he means if the game is one tenth of the level the trailer was the game is gonna rock. Not that the game traier is a 1/10
@@skellybonz5467 I’m so stupid 🤦♂️
i know gameplays arent as food as the trailers but im hoping to see the same visuaals and atmospheres when its releaesd, i love a good horror carnival game
This game looks amazing I cannot wait until it’s out
the monster design looks like the mimic in halloween
This looks incredibly good, I'm just a little concerned about it being social multiplayer instead of a story game.
8bitryan needs to play this on release
Soooo its been 2 years where is this game at?
I don't play horror games, but you got me hooked!
...man, I love it when a trailer tells you absolutely nothing definitive about the gameplay, plot or mechanics. It's totally not just some kind of cinematic circle-jerk.
@Neptrocity I don't mind a cinematic trailer, but I expect it to make the plot clearer. You know, like movie trailers do.
The visuals are just astounding, and make me incredibly curious about the lore of this world. I hope they don't skimp on the storytelling, because this really seems like an intriguing world to explore.
“ Hello my name is markapier and welcome to Carnaval Hunt “

"Footage representative of expected gameplay"
Prerendered cinematics continue to play.
Literally no gameplay happening.
Rogue Like Puppet Horror. Yay!!!
always loved carnival settings for horror games, but you don't see to many for non horror games, like carnivals are fun and full of whimsy too bro, and yet nobody remembers them like that anymore ;~;
dude this game look fire as hell!keep up the good work, who knows they might make a game called
"Don't Let Her See You."
(Annabelle from Conjuring)
That one should REALLY be available in VR also... unless you're afraid of being sued for heart attacks :)
Esto es lo que queríamos los fans del terror
this game has so much potential! Cant wait to see it release. Hopefully the game is as good as the trailer.
Seems different
I love that the trailer so quickly explains WHY you play with a friend!
Looks interesting
I’m living for this art style
Nice, something different 👌
Different? It's dead by daylight
@@blo0dysmiles297 L
@@KeemJL L all ya want. They have been explaining it and ya its dead by daylight toy edition.
1 plays the killer 4 play the helpless people that must do tasks and escape before there all killed. This isn't something different at all hell there are a shit ton of games with this idea not just dead by daylight. A ghost one, a monster one a evil teacher one. The list goes on this time its just puppets.
@@blo0dysmiles297 god damn you gotta go everywhere to comment it's dbd clone
@@andyn9741 God damn you found the one other comment in the large amount of comments on this video?! 🤭
Five tokens at Freddie’s.
wow this looks so cool rly want to play it
The theme looks incredible, from what can be seen it will be a PvP. Although a cooperative vs an enemy with high AI, it would be a better option, since the enemy's action would be more unpredictable. Either way it looks amazing.
i absolutely LOVE this
Circus theme is the best yet so hard to find!! I am so happy this game got the right atmosphere
Interesting😈
Ok, THIS is the team i want making a Fantasticland game.
Did this game ever come out ?
it will release in june
@@sansaramgalan7213 How the heck do you know?
@@angelpr2477 They like spreading misinformation. The steam page hasn't updated in over 2 years so it's safe to say it's dead for now
This game looks so fire it’s unreal how amazing the aesthetic is, whenever this comes out I’ll definitely buy it
this shit ever gonna drop....? 2 years later
you call this a game trailer nah, this is a full on award winning movie trailer, youve got talent!
Sweet concept
God damn can’t believe it’s 1 years before it’s looks so freaking goof
Hope this game sticks it to DBD. The games has had a monopoly for too long and has become stagnant.
Trust me this one will do it it’s just like Black Myth Wukong and this game they put passion into there games and it shows
And they can add fnaf, Chucky and other non human killers that dbd can’t do and it would work really well for the environment they have
@@GoCrazy69 DBD at this point is just adding as much licensed characters as possible to keep itself alive. There is nothing new added to the game. It's still the same game at it's core.
This game just from the trailer alone feels like there is more to do than just holding m1 down to win the game.
This is terrifying but looks really good
