I really dislike how some people see Childe as this fighting-hungry beast of a man fell into the Abyss and survived (which is true) and nothing else. He is so much more than that, and I am so happy how this animated video shows that.

@@pseude he doesn’t actually have DID, it’s just different sides to him childe and tartaglia are his aliases within the fatui, childe may just be for the mission and tartaglia as the harbinger ajax is his real and true name the abyss more or less brought out his manic side, the battle hungry, chaos inducing side (iirc his story says after he fell into the abyss chaos basically followed his every footstep) however, he is still ajax, and ajax is still a human who absolurely loves and appreciates his family, like his brother teucer, tonia, and other siblings it’s not a whole different personality it’s just different sides for example: diluc used to be a happy, refined, quite cheerful gentlemen before the events of his father’s death happened afterwards, he became more closed-off and reclusive, but he undoubtedly still cares for people like Elzer, Adelinde, Jean, Kaeya, and so on, even if he may not show it in the voicelines, it’s also shown he’s still the good old diluc (i mean, his voicelines are so gentleman-ly it makes me melt), he just has to adopt a cold facade in order to protect himself from having That happen again. he’s still a kind and caring soul, and will sacrifice himself for mond both have had life changing events happen to them that changed their personalities drastically, but both still care a lot for the people that have greatly affected their lives
Fun fact: Its actually canon that Childe fought dragon(s). In his character story 1, it is said that "He is a proud man of his word. Even if the promise he makes is absurd, he will never break it. Be it *exterminating all the dragons inside their lairs, venturing into a domain of extreme danger, or single-handedly overthrowing the territory of a nobleman... *"

Not to mention, on a technical level, the English and Japanese translations make him seem more aggressive than he really is, as he actually said he hates involving the weak in situations where they're defenceless, and he didn't even want to do that - only as a last resort. Which, a lot of people forget, was manufactured by the Tsaritsa via Signora and Zhongli, but I don't see people dragging Zhongli's name through the mud. Probably because he's not part of the Fatui.

Diluc-Kaeya co. will but that's far ahead or once we go back to Mondstadt and is very endgame lore related. Sure, others like Xiao are good but they are bound to their nations compared to these two who isn't.

There really does need to be more acknowledgement of the parallels between the two of them, even the way they view and interact with their family is a contrast what with Shenhe having only now started connecting with her extended family at all after getting closure on her long dead fathers treatment of her, while Childe never let go of his family even after they seem to have given up on being able to handle him after what he went through.

For context of the song, the person singing it was playing Antonio Salieri and I think he was singing about Mozarts music. Anyway great musical, I highly recommended it.

I am sorta new player (tried Genshin on release - got Qiqi - quit), started again this February and right after I did Childe's personal quest, I already knew he should be my main. The only problem is I don't know if his banner will be returned soon. But I sweared to save as many primos as I can just to pull him with 1 constellation. He is perfect to me. His gameplay, personality, appearance, everything. Can't wait to see my boy finally coming home.
