Bjorn is an amazing guy. You can tell he's overwhelmed by the success of Voyage, but you can also tell he still finds it hard to take in how loved ABBA's music still is 40 years on. Such a humble and genuine guy.

In my opinion, this is the BEST interview since Voyage started. The BEST journalist, the BEST scenery - relaxed, empathic, interesting, fun. That‘s journalism, highly professional. And with seeing THIS you know why you detest interviews done by people, who have no idea how to do that - both on video and written 🤩

Absolutely agree. She was great. She would ask a question and let him answer. So many interviewers ask a question, the interviewee starts to answer and, three words in, the interviewer talks over the top of them or cuts them off and moves on to something else. You end up hearing more from (or about) the interviewer than the interviewee. So annoying!

I disagree. She constantly interrupted, brought up irrelevant subjects like her mother-in-law, and her voice was either excessively loud or soft. Bjorn saved this interview as he always does because he is such an interesting and articulate man.

That's what happens when you don't read God's Holy Bible. 1 John 2:15-17 New Living Translation
15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

I think there has been a lack of recognition for Agnetha, who endured a burden not only at work with her interpretations and writings but also emotionally with the attention to her children together with the tragedies she had to endure. She proves to be a woman with great resilience, my respects to her and obviously for the group, thank you for the interview, with all respect for your personal decisions, if I had been Agnetha's husband I would never have abandoned her, but we know that the temptations of the evil one are on the order of the day like a roaring lion in search of who to devour.

ABBA Voyage is the most joyful experience I have ever had. I cried , smiled and was wowed through the 90 minutes. I made sure I was front and centre of stage for both performances. mixed feelings about the interview... always these unnecessary questions about touring again... as Björn explained, they were never keen on touring back in the days why should they now... useless question... she was very often indicating the answer herself instead of letting it completely open to him to answer.... but his part on other artists following the avatar show or his thoughts on selling rights etc.. were far more interesting.. and he tried to clarify that if your younger you has been around on tv youtube etc all your life, you had your music running in musicals all around the world leading a life on their own, the next step to have an avatar singing instead of you is not such a big big step as it might seem. Weird as he said, but not that wild... again it shows more than ever how ABBA were underestimated as musical pioneers, back in the day with their sounds and technical skills, with the first jukebox musical, now the first avatar show. They always extremely ambitious, creative and with good sense for music and business.

I really ENJOYED sitting in on this interview...for several reasons, however it seems even repetition for emphasis is unnecessary. So many like minded comments. Bjorn, we all think something of each of you, it seems you are quintessentially elegant in thought and comment. I imagine a maelstrom of thoughts though, happen for you much of the time, so much from which to choose. Thankyou all VERY much🧡

Erasure did an Abba-Esque Album in 1992 with 4 songs ( Lay All Your Love on Me / SOS / Take a Chance on Me and Voulez Vous)
It was their only number one in the UK Singles Chart. I am curious how they managed to get the rights, because Bjorn said only Madonna was given the rights to use ABBA music

    • @wandajames6234
      @wandajames6234 ปีที่แล้ว

No, he said Madonna was one of the very few who were given permission. Then again, I think anyone can do covers of any performer as long as they don't record them for release but I'm not exactly sure when it's another famous performer covering your song on a stage.

Avatar = Fake . I wish they had performed as themselves. Not their fake (avatar) digital selves. It was dissapointing. I prefer old, aged but real members of ABBA to their young but fake pictures. As their fans we have aged too. It's normal and natural. It'd be great to see them as in their old, real, natural selves.

Interesting..... I wouldn't mind experiencing a Led Zeppelin Avatar concert as I missed seeing them here in Australia in the 70's. Or even a 1970's Deep Purple concert. I don't know how it would turn out without John Bonham or Jon Lord though. Or whether it would be at all possible. I know next to nothing about creating Avatars.

I agree with them always refusing a biopic being made about them. These types of movies always make villains out of decent people and lean heavily one way which always influences the audience. Let what was Bjorn and Agnetha and Benny and Frida's relationships remain private to them.

They were talking about how they rarely allow other artists *sample* their music (taking bits of actual ABBA-recordings and use them to create new recordings). I don't think you have to ask their permission if you merely want to peform a song written by them.

After Tina Turner died I saw her last tour shows from Holland and London. I regret not having been to either. She is the only star i've missed after Eagles, McCartney, Springsteen, the rolling stones and Fleetwood Mac. Hope therefore that there will be a Tina show with this technology. It wont be like attending her last super fantastic show in London but anyway....

I’m so glad in the early I only heard the music. When I bought the albums I thought they were dressed strangely. It was only in the DVD era that I bought a DVD that I saw them perform in bizarre costumes. I think it would’ve put me off if I’d had the visuals.
As it stands, I love so many of their songs. Mostly the famous ones. But some obscure ones too.

    James 4:4 New Living Translation
4 You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God."
    Mark 8:36 New Living Translation
36 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?
