'I'm dying' to have you getting an interview with an Abba member and possibly Benny! You could ask so many interesting stuff and learn lots of fascinating details. Our best ambassador. You will be the best Abba interviewer of all times by far.
@@Kevin-1969 Hi Kevin.Don't surely know about the guys but Agnetha is aware and fond of B'sb channel as was stated by J.Eloffsson who was one of her songwritters and producers of her 2013 album 'A'..I guess the guys must be aware of this channel too.B'sb will a fine voice for many Abba fans if he manages to reach them for an official interview.
Indeed, I was there 2 times during city trips in Stockholm..a great building surrounded by modern and colorfull sculptures. Museum and nature....inspiring location for Abba. Unfortunately I didn't see anyone of the 4 but I walked in their steps ..the exact location where the group 's picture in the snow was taken ...so great. Once again BB thank you so much for your videos. Bye bye from Brussels
That was beautiful, thank you.Benny's music kingdom became Abba's rejoining secret meeting place for what to turned out to be their last offering. I suspect you might have met him there or even while his touring with BAO.Btw has anyone got aware of what happened With U2's BONO and The Edge? Both rockers ,and esp Bono, talked some very flattering facts on Abba and were brave enough to confess in such a disarming way lots of emotional details while their growing up in Ireland in the '70s that connected Abba with their teenage years.Bono even named Abba a Kind of phenomenon'.They even covered SOS unplugged for BBC radio 2 that got filmed and their statements are spread all over in the net news.
Love, love, love this! Thank you again for the great tour, Bobby! I can't believe that one can just walk up to a famous musician's studio, but I guess that's the charm of Sweden. Just a note....the white keyboard at 6:05 is actually a Mellotron--not a synth, but a 1960s-era instrument driven by tape samples and popularized by The Beatles and The Moody Blues. Always looking forward to your next video!
Thanks for the nice words. Of course you are absolutely right. The picture at 6:05 does not match my narration. ABBA’s original white-painted stage Minimoog is also in the studio, but this photo shows Benny's original Mellotron. That one is also engineer Linn Fijal’s "favourite thing in the studio". Thanks for the correction.
This was a most enjoyable and informative tour of the "R-Mix" studio and the role it played in the making of "Voyage." Thank you! I have always found the location of the office and studio to be so pretty and picturesque. Perhaps at some point, you might consider putting together a video on Michael B. Tretow as he was such an important part of the ABBA sound and legacy.
Fantastic view of Benny Recording Studio, All four members seem so relax during their recording session of Voyage, i wonder if all four members of ABBA are in the Studio right now recording their 10th album for their 50th anniversity in 2024 since winning the Eurovision song contest in Brighton 1974. Despite Benny saying their no more, I would love to see a video clip of Benny playing intermezzo no 1 on his piano in his studio if the interviewer got a film recording of it. Fantastic review. Look forward to your next video.
A definite “bucket list” for me, visiting Benny’s studio! I have a dream that I will run into Benny when visiting and I will tell him just how important his music has been in my life…
Thankyou BB ,you provide the atmosphere and background to complete our ABBA experience with the reunion and give a visual perspective of these last few years and the journey that takes us to their new VOYAGE, thankyou again for bringing ABBA closer to us and reinforcing our love and dedication for them and your channel.
Thank you! That was so cool to see the studio and the area where ABBA worked together and were photographed. Such a cool old building and lovely shoreline! The city is really nice.
Here's another evidence on why the 4some didn't want to leave their homecountry.Ssssuch a beauuutiful place with non disturbing people who could kind of respect your privacy in a satisfectory degree.
Hey Bobby's Brother another very educational vlog regarding the Super Troupers 👌 😀 always interesting to see clips from ABBA & there 'haunts' .keep up the excellent channel 💯 👌
BB, I just watched this - opted for doing so on my big screen to get the full effect!, and you continue to outdo yourself!! Your attention to every single detail makes your videos absolutely stellar - simply PHENOMENAL!! And so, my sincerest thanks to you for taking us on a 🌟magical 🅰️🅱️🅱️🅰️ tour🌟 with every video you share - I watch them with such joy and anticipation because there is always so much new knowledge to absorb!! Sending you the very best from across the pond! 🇺🇸🌊😁🌊🇸🇪
It instantly feels so familiar and grounded, like a place in your neighboorhood that you come across everyday. All the places you show have this vibe. That's Sweden I guess.:)
The way you explain everything to us about ABBA , is so organized and detailed.TQ . Hopefully ABBA will give us more and more surprises in the future 🙏
Thanks again for a very well researched and very well made video. Not to mention all the heart you put in your videos so far. One can feel it! Regards from an First-Minute-ABBA Fan and Radio Broadcaster in Germany. Keep up the good work!
What a lovely video Bobby, thank you! I didn’t realise that Benny had the two buildings, I thought it was all housed in the one. Really fascinating, thanks again.
Thanks so much, BB. What beautiful buildings. It's great that the area is accessible to everyone. If I ever get to Stockholm, I'll definitely head here. Thanks once more for your knowledge, your footage, your storytelling skills, and your overwhelming love of Abba. x
Thank you so much BB for this fantastic tour and insights! I went there several times when I was in Stockholm and in December 2017 I happened to meet Benny there when he arrived at the studio!!! I was almost stunned and couldn't believe it!!! But Benny was so nice and relaxed and took his time for a chat and a photo. A highlight I will always remember❤!
Thank you so much for all the info and videos of these geniuses! I have lived Abba for most of my life, ever since 74. I am 60 now and I have requested Arrival to be played at my wake. That's how much I love Abba. And always will. Thank you Bobby's Brother, Jag älskar dig!!
I've walked past the Studio a couple of times on different visits to Stockholm, and on one occasion saw Benny inside, and another time I saw Gorel! I wish I had plucked up the courage to knock on the door a say Hi to Benny!
thanks BB for this vid ! you've just forgotten Linn's assistant, Vilma C -I had the pleasure to chat with her outside RMV, "last summer" :D Phil, France.
An intricate collection of information and factual Vlog BB 👍 I’ve been there many times and it’s so tranquil and relaxing and if your lucky you may occasionally meet an ABBA member or two ❤
Thank You Bobby's B ~ you have once again instilled magic into your latest clip: interesting info and visual material that must've taken quite a lot of time to gather. And such wondrous filming on your camera that captures the light and colours superbly.
Thank you so much for this fascinating tour, BB! I love looking into recording studios, as the recording is one of the most fascinating aspects about bands for me! And to think WHAT HAPPENED inside Riksmixningsverket...! BTW, the story about the studio's name is extremely funny!
Amazing video ! You know at first I thought you were a Bjorn relative or somebody close to an ABBA member. Since you know so much , well who knows 😅. Great work to keep admirers informed. 💯
It's a beautiful place I had a look around Denmark at in London where there was a lot of the old British music scene that place isn't as pretty as the ABBA place although it's still interesting with all the history
Zeppelin recorded In Through the Out Door at this studio....Page's ethereal and stirring opening to "In the Evening" always makes me think of dark Winter nights...Also cuz I listened to alot of Zeppelin on my Walkman in high-school and it was in the 80s..winter at times in Canada ( before I escaped to UK & Europe in the late 80s.) So the best studio in Europe! Perhaps! Well, Jimmy really liked Abba. As I had Super Trooper in alphabetical order right beside AC/DC!! Love this channel. I will catch up I'm supposed to be painting....😂 and putting my art on here!!
Very nice film! But that's an old Mellotron at 6:05, no Mini Moog. Also, I belive it was his Prophet 5 from Sequential circuits that was painted white (to look good on top of his white piano).
2 logical explanationsr.I guess they knew how to keep a secret and were surrounded by people who trusted.People in Sweden have learned to respect each other's privacy in a way even if it's Abba.Neverthless there were some very 'doubtful' hints in the foreign media that something was 'moving' up there but twas very difficult to see behind the foggy landscape and nothing could be confirmed.I recall some rumours sometime back about all Abba members getting together in London for some 'works' icognito.Possibly around the time that the band was prepairing some material for the VOYAGE gig.
Anastacia mixing her last album Evolution here. And ironically She sing the vocals in the Old EMI Roxette studio in middle of Stockholm! Funny to me. Why she wrote a song with per gessle ! She and him to rock people ! At the time marie was left the band so because of you know why! And that time was 2016.
Hi, dear BB, another great video. One interesting connection between the studio and Abba is the cover version of Just like That recorded by German group Groenalund last year, it was recorded using Benny's instruments as well. Here is the link if you'd like to hear it. Hugs th-cam.com/video/qvx5KPM72Cg/w-d-xo.html

The questions and topics on my list to talk about - just in case - they get better and better.
That would be amazing, would love an interview with a member, the guys must be aware of the channel.

Wow, thank you, I wonder does Frida know
Thanks bobby's brother. I have been to Benny's studio and I met Goral who kindly got me Benny's autograph

Concerning VOYAGE, Liverpool Echo's editor Cheryl Mullin attented the gig and got stunned. She gave it a solid 5 star review.,
Abba should have won the Grammy
Yes but now who cares,The Grammies lost the chance to regain some credibilty by rewarding them.

How amazing that the general public can walk by, maybe peek thru the window of Benny's studio. That was a wonderful video, BB!

Thanks for all of this! I don't have money to travel, so it's nice to "see" some ABBA landmarks!
Money Money Money 😂😂😂
I can only say THANK YOU, Bobby´s Brother. This is all very interesting and it means a lot to me.

i love your videos !
in such an open and public enviroment it's hard to believe that their reunions were so private and kept well hidden.

Love your video but there's a mistake on your comment. The white keyboard is not a Mini Moog but a Mellotron M400. I had the same myself....
Love this❤❤❤❤❤😮😊
Not a white painted Minimoog! That is a Mellotron! 👊
Very nice film! But that's an old Mellotron at 6:05, no Mini Moog. Also, I belive it was his Prophet 5 from Sequential circuits that was painted white (to look good on top of his white piano).
Thanks ✨

Thx 🙏

Lovely interesting video- many thanks. Very much looking forward to the Orchestral album mentioned. Any idea if it will be available in the U.K?
I can see it on UK web retailers, and it is also available to listen to/download it digitally, for example here on TH-cam Music.
Where's the content? Right here, courtesy of Bobby's Brother. Look no further. Brilliant video!
Haha, thanks Henry!
How can those sessions be so secret if the place is public?
2 logical explanationsr.I guess they knew how to keep a secret and were surrounded by people who trusted.People in Sweden have learned to respect each other's privacy in a way even if it's Abba.Neverthless there were some very 'doubtful' hints in the foreign media that something was 'moving' up there but twas very difficult to see behind the foggy landscape and nothing could be confirmed.I recall some rumours sometime back about all Abba members getting together in London for some 'works' icognito.Possibly around the time that the band was prepairing some material for the VOYAGE gig.

When was this filmed?
In the summer of 2022.
Where did Benny produce his music before in the Abba Studio? why was it torn down because it was old technology?
I dont understand ... Did Abba record at the Mono-studio and later moved the recording sessions to RMV ?
are we going to get a documentary (from you) on the 1979/80 world tours?
Yes, I highly anticipate that chapter.
The „white painted Minimoog“ is in fact a „Melotrone“. Better doublecheck next time 😉
Benny´s Mini-moog? It looks more like a Mellotron to me
😍🌹🌹🌹🌻🌈😇

That was not a Minimoog. It´s a Mellotron.
Interesting fact that Euphoria recorded there.
