By taking off the ground wire the circuit is open and less likely to be able to travel all around he car. so you may short out (if it dose) the part you are working on, but the other electrics will be safer.

BTW this new unit doesn't need the original 4x 10mm bolts that hold down the radio, all done by just plastic taps. Do you work for the post office? I ask because regardless rain or shine you continue to make this video.

Well I never find the setting that allow you to make that change in this Dasaita unit, I guess the Dasaita's Canbus just read it from the car's ECM and Corolla's default is kPA. The OEM TPMS sensor and the receiver only display as a dummy light on the dash and never show the actual pressure, this Dasaita Canbus is able to read and display the numbers. If you have Techstream you maybe able to change it from English unit to Si units.

Arent you missing a key piece? Dont you need to cut factory frame that goes under the radio? I just tried to install and the head unit seems to only fit if you cut the entire oem lower part under radio. No go for me. Returning this
NICE video! My 2015 looks different than yours. Also in another of your videos, you mounted the gps antenna right behind the headunit. Does the gps still work fine? Also don't you need to disconnect the battery before making these disconnections and such?

I went with the newest model Dasaita for my 2015 corolla, super easy to install, the harness was indeed plug and play. However the radio reception is not anywhere near the stock sound, the reception is there but the bass and sound goes in and out. I have been researching and it maybe the antenna amp improperly being connected in the harness. Any suggestions on how to remedy this?
@@wetman5001 OEM backup cam. I purchased the dasaita cam but haven't gotten to tearing my whole interior apart to run the new wire. It is not plug and play. Still having issues with the radio. Not happy with the unit so far and their customer support is terrible.
How is the unit holding up for you now? I'm thinking of buying the updated unit with 6gb ram from Dasaita website. How is your call quality over bluetooth? Were you able to fix the sound issues with Radio?
@@raghavm27 The issue with the radio is not resolved. I purchased a new wiring harness connection for the radio and antenna connection but have not redone the connections yet. Call quality is not good with the head unit mic, echoes and delays on every call. I will install the external mic when I redo the antenna wiring, maybe that will help. Just a heads up Dasaita support is terrible. They take days to respond and they have not been able to provide any real info to fix the issues, I believe is the connections within the harness not providing power to the antenna amp or issue with the signal wire. Last time they just didnt respond and I gave up.
@the commentor check your canbus setting, add your car make model (in Factory menu password is 3368). Mine was XP - Toyota - Camry (Corolla) - XP. Check the manual that they sent you. Got my working the other day.
On the 2015 Corolla, which I believe you worked on in this video, the VENT control gets stuck on one setting. Mine is stuck on face level, leaving my feet to freeze. Can you do a video on fixing the VENT CONTROL on the 2015 Corolla?

@@davidleon1120 I got a Teyes which was very similar to this head unit. There is a single RCA output for the AMP. Then there is a power cable that connects to your AMP it was actually pretty straight forward.
Usually the shell is the same but the big difference i noticed is motherboard, display quality and what capacitors they use. Other things note is if it has android auto/car play, CPU, Ram, Storage, if it includes all the adapters to retain your oem usb port.

I don't care for Apple and want Android Auto. Anyways, Toyota refreshed the Corolla for the 2017 model year but didn't update the infotainment system, just the look in front. You don't have to take to apart the entire dash to change the infotainment system. All you have to do is just the plastic piece of in the center.
