I've been a steamer and a juicer all my life. Separation, I wound up without my beloved kitchen things! Life is strange. I was given an Instant Pot, which I learned to use, and now adore, however, it does have it's drawbacks, one of which is when you need to add your veggies! I'm very used to using a one pot system, that's very difficult with a pressure cooker. I went ahead and ordered one of these last night. I'm very excited about it! 😎 I had 2 black and decker round steamers when they first came out in the 80's, I just LOVED THEM so much, I bought every one in my family a B+D steamer. I had mine going daily for over 25 years. Once they gave up the ghost, we had a proper ceremony, and I got Aroma steamers, once again I wound up with 2, I loved them. I can't even remember what brand the double decker was I had that broke after a few months of ME in the kitchen daily. I ALMOST didn't go for the sale on this because I had such an experience with the digital. But I love Cuisinart products so much, I had the DLC 5 since they came out, and that work horse never let me down. I wish I had it back. 25 years and still like brand new. I went ahead and got the Pro Classic 7 cup, I hope I'll be as in love with it as I was my last food processor. THIS steamer looks like a dream, I can't wait to use it. And you get the BOOK! FABULOUS! I just picked up one of these at the Goodwill today for seven dollars. Unfortunately, it did not come with the book so I came here looking for ideas for how to use it.

I don’t think mine is working properly, food comes out still uncooked & need 3 times cooking time than the timer setting.. Disappointed 😢
