  • If you have the Arrowhead outside faucet, and it's dripping, your problem might be a simple, easy, and inexpensive one. I'm no expert, so watch along as I figure it out.
The house from this video was built in 1998.

Dude... Thanks, seriously. I feel pretty dumb after trying to replace the $40 anti siphon dealio, then getting a pretty useless shut-off valve to "block" the leak, and all I ended up having to do was to replace the 69 cent washer. I was a bit weirded out by shutting off my water supply at first, as I have a well and a booster pump... But the reality is, EVERYBODY needs to know how and where to shut their water off in case of a major water home disaster. Anyway, leak is fixed. Thanks for making this video. Leak was pretty bad and washer was the culprit. My well refill pump had been working extra hard. All good now.

Yeah man that anti siphon thingee is totally useless and a blatant money scam by using proprietary sizing. I was able to get a NON siphoning brass size changer on amazon.con a couple years ago. If I can find it again, I'll add a link for it to this videos description. Thanks for your comment!

This saved me a whole lot of time and money. I had a leaking faucet to fix at a relatives house and this wasn't the first video I watched, but this one got me right to what was really needed, thanks a lot!!

You saved me money and time. My seal was leaking and the closeup of the danco washer part number is exactly what I used from home depot. My arrowhead faucet leak stopped!

Thank you thank you thank you! My elderly mother has one of these faucets and it was doing a slow leak until it finally let go and was flooding her yard. A quick trip to Home Depot for the washers and 20 minutes later she was right as rain. $3 fix that would've been a $500 plumber visit otherwise.

Thanks very much for the video. I had the Danco part on hand and it fixed the problem! Had I stumbled on this video before doing lots of research at Arrowhead for rebuild kits and stems, I would have saved hours!

Get rid of those ugly faucets and just go with an Aquor faucet. Looks so much nicer and you can never overtighten nor worry about freeze again.

Is it still not dripping though after a year? I've done this fix multiple times on mine only for it to come back. I hate these Arrowhead faucets

Mine has not leaked since the repair. I think been over 2 years now. Honestly the worse part about owning an arrowhead faucet is the proprietary size changer to get a normal garden hose to attach to it. Those used to be only available for sale by Arrowhead for 35 bucks or more and came as some kind of "pressure relief" attachment. Utterly ridiculous piece of unnecessary clutter. Then a simple size changer (brass) became available in Amazon.con. I'm not sure if you can still get one though.

I have to replace that rubber piece every few days now. it's constantly leaking. plumber quoted $600 to replace the faucets. I hate Arrowhead.

@@tkmair6559it prevents backflow. Vacuum breaker I believe it is called. I think it's for code. Could save you money for repairs if dirt was to flow back into the home. Problem is they fail and pros will snap that screw off making it permanent. It is pointless unless you leave a hose connected to the faucet with the valve open and pressure in the line. I.E. if you use a hose sprayer and don't turn the faucet off like me. Pros and cons I guess.
This was a great video and I'm sure it helped many people including me. Thank you
