Just bought a water damaged 2003 Ninja 250r. Needed a new project since my 92 Camaro Rs is in the body shop. After watching the first three I knew I had to subscribe to your channel. Man your VID's are heavily informative. You need to have your own TV Show for-real. Keep up the good work!!!
Wow, what a tragic journey into engine diagnostics. Very educational and interesting, but there's also the heavy cloud hanging over the bike because you were obviously ripped off "I gave it to my little brother, he didn't do anything with it..." yeah, right! I just picked up an '89 for my son, in amazingly good shape. I heard it run, but when I got it home it was making a much louder noise. So far I suspect CCT (from what I've seen here and in other videos) but it's anyone's guess. For the money I paid, I'll be OK even if I have to get a used engine, but I'm hoping to avoid it. Thanks for taking the time to make the vids and make sure we see what's going on, it's much appreciated. I'm going to check your other videos when I finish this series.
At present I'm renewing the timing chain on my EX250. Everything was going fine until I got to the primary gear. The nut on the end has baffled me. I need to get the primary gear off in order to remove the timing chain.

Dam, teeth bits :-(
Hope its a cheap part as it would be a shame to scrap the engine for just one component.
Allways enjoyable watching you work.
