Much of the skill of facilitating a workshop is in mobilising participants to generate and refine great ideas. Most workshops generate many ideas, not all of which will be good. Some will probably be terrible. Great workshops, and great facilitators, capture everyone’s contributions, but they also identify, amplify, and elevate the best ideas. They help the whole group to recognise and refine the best ideas into strong collective outputs.
