Never tried the Irish Setters but they look quality. For my money I really like Carolina Amp 6" moc toe boots. I've worn those and Thorogoods. The Carolinas are Thorogood clones but a little cheaper. Carolinas run a little wider than the Thorogoods because I wear 11 Carolina but 11.5 for Thorogood. I prefer the wider fit so I've stuck with Carolina. Get some mink oil paste and rub them down as soon as you get them and they'll break in within a week. Good boots are a must as a carpenter. Your feet are one of your most used tools, have to take care of them.
The ont thing I love about the irish setters. They feel like they are prebroken in. very comfortable from the first day. But to be honest, I don't have super sensitive feet. Just my two cents.
Been watching your viedos for awhile and seems like up north has a lot better unions than the south. I’ve only met like one or two guys ten years working as a gc carpenter that were union.
I've been working for 7 years nonstop. (Knock on wood) with the same company. I've been truly blessed. I can only speak on my experience. It's pretty good.
What kind of maintenance do you do on your boots? I've found that cleaning them every couple months and putting mink oil on them gets an extra couple years out of them.

@@unscriptedwithantonio that’s awesome dude.
From what I've heard. The east coast has the strongest unions. But it's only what I've heard.
Would you PLEASE sell those boots to me????

The biggest factor is how much I'm working with concrete. I clean them every couple of months. But that concrete does a number on the stitching.
@@unscriptedwithantonio Yeah there is no saving anything from concrete.
@u theses more than redwings super sole 2 ?
I'm not sure these boots were around $185 after the discount.
I think you will like the super soles 2
@darrenorubor2629 Thank you for the recommendation.
I’ve been wearing the Keen Cincinnati’s. Heavy duty and wide toe base.
How are they? What is the price point?
