Flo Lum every time my wife and I have a problem it’s because of poor communication. We love each other , we are best friends, but when we get our wires crossed things get messed up. We are really trying to make it better.

We've been together 16 years. I think, respect and clear communication makes for a longterm relationship. "Too err is human." That applies to couples as well.

My wife and I are at 43 years. Selfishness is the big destroyer. When both realize that the value of the marriage is a thousand times more than the sum of the individual parts, you have an unbreakable bond.

What a lovely video. I have only been watching a few days now and thought Dude was just a dude. What a nice surprise to learn you're married. My husband and I will celebrate 49 years married soon and have the same couch rule. We go a step further...never go to bed angry. Always make up.

Been married 7 years now with 3 kids. 2nd date decided to get married and it's been like hell but shes loyal and I've been loyal to her so even with our problems we always stay together.

I'm so glad I came across your channel!! I was led here by God and the Instant Pot haha. But seriously, It's so nice to have a channel that my 12yr old daughter and I can watch together and get recipes and info for the instant pot or other recipes and ideas we can do together, and not have to worry about any questionable content popping up. Thank you guys for following God's will for your lives and letting him use you to be a blessing to other people.

With God is in our lives we have good advice to pattern our marriages after thru his scripture. My oldest just celebrated her 40th annv. I lost my husband but we were married 54 years. I am again married to a wonderful Christian man that lost two wives to cancer. When he asked me to marry him he said "are you feeling lucky." We have been married 3 years now respecting and loving one another. I am 78 and he will be 88. May God continue to bless your union just as he has ours.

My wife and I have watched many of your videos. First of all thank you for all of your hard work in making those happen for all of us. In your interactions I have always thought that you both have fun in making them and never questioned your happiness together. My wife and I have similar relationship in that we get along so well and rarely argue. If we do it seems to get over in a very short time as we both know that our happiness together is more important than a momentary individual need. We know that we both can be right and agree on it. Keep up the great work that you do.

Learning about the instant pot brought me to your channel. One of my favorite channels now. Just need to convince my better half to let me get an IP. Found your channel as I plan to try your Malaysian beef but enjoyed this video. My wife and I are still newlyweds. 6 years together this summer and 2.5 years married.
We definitely try to partner together always, we hope we can have a long fruitful marriage like you have had. We have the same rule to not sleep in separate rooms after disagreements/arguments.

Lovely video and I appreciate that you opened your hearts and shared some of your marriage solutions. I never thought Dude was a jerk because Hubby and I have the same sense of humour so I 'got' your interaction from the very first video of yours I watched. Your 'no couch' rule is great. Our #1 rule was to never use the 'D' word (divorce). Even through some rocky times it has never, ever been an option. Being a military family and having to rely on only each other was great training. We are each other's best friend. God stuck with us, prepared us with some 'pre-trials' so that when our daughter went through her hormonal teens instead of causing a rift, He set us up for success and made us an even stronger team. The whole family came out of it well and our daughter is an amazing Proverbs 31 woman with her own lovely young family. We are celebrating 36 years this spring. May God continue to bless your marriage and your family, Flo and Dude!

It is marriages like yours which gives me hope that blessed marriages still exist. I like what you have said about forgiveness. Be quick to ask for forgiveness and to give forgiveness. It reminds me of what the bible says in Ephesians 4:32 - And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

My hubby and I went on our first date on his birthday and in less than a year, we married! So, in several months, we will celebrating 30 years as husband and wife! For a happy relationship/marriage, I would say to a couple: don't take yourselves too seriously, find the humorous side of things, learn to listen with the heart and not the ears (to me, to "hear" means to acknowledge sound is coming from somewhere), show empathy by putting yourself in the other person's shoes, be supportive, and take time to be together and some for yourself. ❤ the video!
