- During peak black fly and mosquito season, I ventured deep into the vast area of Temagami for an 8 day solo trip. Covering over 100kms, I encountered some insane weather, black flies and mosquitoes that wanted to torment me 24/7, beautiful wildlife, and excellent fishing. Through some uncertain days on this trip, I learned a great deal about myself and ultimately fell even more in love with nature and adventuring within it depths. Nice teaser. First time to Lake Nipigon we waited out the wind for 3 days, finally got out, wind picked back up and we were in 10' waves in a 16' open Alumacraft 15 miles from land.
