I love this concept. I have tons of paper. This would an ideal way to use them up. Activities like this really get my creative juices flowing. I can just play and now feel like I'm wasting material.
You are so hilarious and fun. Love your upbeat personality. I always enjoy your creative videos! Thank you for this fascinating post. I’m gonna try sewing on paper now…
I did A Christmas (Vintage) book and pieces together a Christmas stocking. It's darling and I'd show it to you but don't know how to send it. Lol. Old ladies and technology!
I appreciate you demeanor and the ease at which you talk with your viewers. I find your videos very relaxing to watch and I have learned loads! Thank you for being a a bright light to TH-cam.
I thought it was a child saying, "Hi-i-i-i". So precious your cat is talking to the sunlight coming through the door! Cats love to lie in the sun.... maybe that's why she is saying "Hi-i-i-i-" to the sun! So adorable!
I started making these after seeing this tutorial. They've been so adicting. I also shared this video in a Facebook group and a few people have already started making them too!
I don't know how anyone could give this video s thumbs down. I think this video has a fantastic amount of helpful information and hands-on instruction!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this project!!!!!!! I have done this with small scraps to make a tag or piece to tuck, but never on a larger size. WOW!! These are awesome! thanks so much for sharing!
This is so beautiful... I just started scrapbooking .. years ago I picked up on super sale from Micheal's ..the 12by 12 scrap paper and made simple cards with them... this is good to know when I have leftovers..
Nik, thanks! I love these pages and Your teaching! Wish I could go to Scotland to take a class with you in person! Maybe you will teach a class in the US for several days so I can come! Take Care, Nik, You are a treasure!
TFS your process here Nik, it is lovely to hear you chatting away as you are working, it makes me smile with your funny comments. I have done a similar technique on the past for making cards and tags and thought of it as serendipity paper patchwork.
Just found you after watching Mrs. Cogs for the first time. Love this idea! I have so much scraps and never throw anything away. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Wow, what a novel concept.. Love, Love.Love the Franken page idea. I am a traditional album, card and journal maker so this will truly stretch my boundaries. Wouldn't this look cool on an altered box?!?!?!TFS

That WAS fun! Can't wait to try this, and boy do I have scrapes and misc. to throw into this. The one on top left, as you were signing off, would be a lovely journal cover. TFS‼️
Thanks for the tip Nik! 💖 👍 I too have a mound of scraps! Will dig them out and put together for more usage! You are fun to watch and you make me giggle!
These are beautiful and such a good way to attack the scrap pile.Musttry one! The sewing sets it all off, that will be a challenge! Thanks for sharing your gifts with us.Carol Young
OMG!!! This is a must try for everyone, where I live it's hard to get the really cool papers, so this has given me this idea to make my own, Huge thanks for sharing, Oh and I love them in case you didn't guest lol x😍🐺👍❤
Nik, I’ve watched this again, although it was a year ago. But, I really really love 💕 this, I think 🤔 the stitching 🧵 made all the difference. Thank you so much xxx Mags
I love how your pages came out. That technique is perfect for days when you just want to doodle around, not ready to start a project. You've convinced me I need to buy an inexpensive sewing machine for paper crafting, I love the look of sewn pages!
These are awesome! I don’t have a sewing machine, but I think I might have a zigzag (or something similar)border stamp that I could use to fake the stitches. I think the stitching really adds to it. Thanks for sharing this!
I'm sitting here, watching your video, and in front of me on my desk is a scrap pile, glue, and my sewing machine. Seems a bit serendipitous to me, I'm gonna make up some franken-pages! Thanks Nik! ~~Leslie
this may be the first video of yours i have watched. LOVE!!! have heard many people talk about your videos....and can see i have a lot to catch up on!!! FRANKENPAGES...who would have thunk???
I love your 'Franken' pages. They're really amazing & look so great! You've given me a great idea if you don't want to sew. Just cut some pages out with zig-zag scissors & go around them with pens to give a 'stitched' look. I have an old sewer that's more trouble to use so I may have to try it out.
I was looking for ideas to put a decorative collage looking Edge to my journal pages and this gave me a great idea all I need to do is make them smaller and folded and then glue it in place on the edges of the book and I can even make them pockets and Tuck spots.
So great!! Did this on canvas panels and never thought to do journal pages. Just organized ephemera and have a whole basket of scraps. Think I could make a whole journal with scrap pages😁.Thanks for sharing!
I did that on some manila folders some time ago but no sewing. I need to reduce my scraps again , I tend to keep them for pockets etc. but never thought to use them for journal sheets . I like to use the book method , glue three pages , tear out two maybe I'll go use this idea to cover the book pages . Thanks for shaking a few brain cells into action ! Till next time . Love
