This video made me cry, I wish I had more family to be with and share things with. Don't get me wrong I love my Mom and Dad but 4 years ago they moved away and it's just not the same. Cherish those moments, and be glad you have them filmed to watch whenever your in need. Love this vid!

U sure have lovely recipes u should create a recipe book with all the lovely recipes u cook on ur TH-cam. U all should be a catering service in fish meals keep doing the wonderful fishing skills it family is the best fishing team we watched on TH-cam
I really like the way you present the Video. Very natural as you are really sharing important stuff in a family. You have a real good family and life. Keep up the videos that you make. TQ
That was fun to watch. Your mom is so quiet and just loves her time with her kids. Dad does too and won't miss the eating part if the adventure. Good food and great way to prepare them!
My wife and I are just about reaching retirement age and the more I watch your channel the more I want to move to Florida and enjoy all the fun and interesting fishing adventures you have shown to us! great channel keep up the great work!
Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.
Great video as always. I love how camera shy your mom is. It’s very endearing and she seems like such a sweet and kind woman, you are very lucky to have such a great family.
Up here in northern lower peninsula of Michigan we used to have the Smelt runs into creeks and rivers it was a blast. Now tere are hardly any Smelt and they're small comparitively. Always really nice to see family and friends enjoying good food and good times, God bless.
@@brookcristoutdoors in my opinion shrimp are better but smelt are small easy to clean and cook you can eat them bones and all and not really know it take off the head slice the belly and a quick scrape and your done, just like shrimp you fry'em or freeze'em. The whole process has it's simularities you net smelt in late fall off the banks late evening into the night with lanterns or spot lights haven't been out since I was a kid good family and friends memories.
Suggestion for cooking all squash and sweet potatoes. Cut in half and bake in the oven, seeds removed. Scoop all the insides into a big mixing bowl and mash. Add your desired amount of butter [or Smart Choice marg], salt and pepper. Add brown sugar (or honey) to taste (use a good quantity!) and again to taste, cinnamon, mixing well. This recipe for mashed squash/sweet potatoes is mouth watering!
Darn every time I watch one of your videos when it's over I'm drooling and hungry for seafood. I don't have any close family anymore and I love it that your family is so close.
Brook, you can't hide your Electrifing talent with this video. Thanks for sharing this wonderful vlog today. Outstanding job young lady, thanks again for your efforts to show us a little bit of your life.
This was so awesome. To go out with your Mom and family and do natural fun things is always something to be grateful for. God bless you, the fam and friends! FOOD LOOKS AMAZING!
I was born and raise north Was always accustom to that weather and have been living in the south for about 10 years you get accustom to the southern weather in South Carolina and she’s right when It gets about 60° it’s chilly At first they used to not be like that when I moved out here but because I’ve been down here so long I’ve gotten adjusted to this weatherBut when it gets hot out here it’s no where near comparable to the north it is scorching hot down here
I peel mine with a potato peeler and then chunck them up. Put in a bowl and toss with melted butter and seasoning. Fresh ground nutmeg really wakes up the flaver. Then roast as you did.
Make sure to use headlamps that have a red light on it so you don't scare them. You can also use green lights to attract them to the area. The shrimp can't see the red light but when you shine it on them, you'll be able to see their eyeballs without scaring them away. I usually use a gas lantern and keep it near the water when shrimping. The shrimp will run north for the colder waters when it starts to get warmer down here. I have an amazing spot up here that I fish at and catch plenty of shrimp at. I've caught shrimp twice the size of those up here. Take a trip up here to Melbourne and I'll go shrimping one night with you guys. Amazing video Brooke and Viktor. Can't wait for more videos to come in the near future.
We have green lights that hang in the water, but we recently installed lights on our boat that shine into the water and they worked great! We’ve never caught shrimp up in Melbourne but have heard about a lot of great runs at Sebastian !
Shrimping...I love it. Wow you guys did great. I love eating shrimp. My wife makes delicious shrimp scampi and stuffed shrimp. Really enjoyed this video. Say hi to Viktor and your Mom for me and please tell Viktor the Dexter knives I won on his channel are great and being used alot. Your cooking segments are always great too.
What i have been using in the kitchen for oven gloves are double insulated long sleve leather welding gloves. they last long and keeps you from getting for arms burned when retrieving from inside the hot oven
You are becoming a very good cook. Thank you for your videos. Y’all are so lucky to have what you have and where you live helps a lot except when hurricane season comes around.
Great video and easy on the eyes. I never knew shrimp could be caught just floating by a boat- I thought they had to be dredged from the bottom, shows how little I know. The catching and the cooking are both done very well. I wish more videos were as smooth to watch as yours are. I can only imagine what goes on in the editing department. Thumbs Up!
What an awesome evening of shrimping, fantastic meal and such wonderful memories. Just love watching you and your family. Puts a smile on my face!! And of course, wish I could be in Florida this time of year when Ohio weather is still crappy. Lol.
Two specify of shrimp brown and white up here in South Carolina the season is second week in September and runs for 60 day and you can bait as you did in St. John river last year
A great familyvideo. You girls work great together. Thanks for the great video. Keep them coming. More cooking breakfast, lunch , Dinner We will watch and Like.👍😂😎
If you take all the heads and put them in a 5 gallon bucket then take a 1 1/2 ' pc of 2x4 and crush them for 5 minutes then bag them in gallon freezer bags you will have the best chum in the world for future trips! Just a thought!!
Love your videos cant eat shrimp. I am allergic but I like watching others. Lol hope your father is well. Stay safe with everything going on out there.
Yes I used to do that to use a net over the bridge and a light in the water this was down in Titusville Florida back in the 90s we had a big shrimp on everybody was catching shrimp that night

Thats a great prawn run, (sorry we call em' prawns in AUS). I love scooping them like that. I love seeing your Mum out there with you, she seems like such a calm soul and quiet achiever.
@@danielnapast4955 So what do you guys call prawns? Prawns in Australia are small crustaceans without claws any other crustaceans have specific names, for instance Florida Lobster would be called a a species of Crayfish in Australia. Having experienced shrimp in the states I can say by my reckoning that what you call shrimp we call prawns.
Wow, that looked like A Lot of Fun & Very Tasty to Boot!!! Great job Brook & Crew. Brook, that Blue top looked really Nice on you. With All due Resept, just an Observation.

Red shrimp means that they've been swimming for a while. Also the temperature is a big factor, water temp of about 64 degrees seems to be a thing. So glad to see you out there catching them.

My favorite part was when you said "it's about 60 degrees right now so its a little chilly for us" 😆😆

Nice job on everything! My favorite kabob tip? Use 2 skewers for each kabob. It keeps the food from rotating when you need to flip it! 👍
