Horror, in my opinion, has to have a sense of foreboding and dread where you’re not sure who is next to die, or to a lesser extent be mentally scarred for life. Now if we have an armed civilian who just recently got into firearms and self-defence and had to deal with a home invasion against masked men, I could see it being horror. But a highly trained, and competent, civilian/soldier against a criminal… maybe. Stakes have to be even honestly for it to be horrific in my opinion. Again, just my opinion.
