Can I play my retro games buyed on steam (eg. Tomb Raider Anniversary) with RetroArch and gain achievments? I don't want to emulate it, I want to play game I buyed via Steam.
This way I still have to emulate a game from a ROM. I want to just click Play game on Steam (game that I buyed on Steam), have it showed my play time etc. and get Retro Achievments. Just as with any other game on Steam that has its own achievments. Is it possible? @@JustJamie1983
Jamie, thank you for all your content. Any ideas why when I try to remap button configuration through the quick menu settings the buttons aren't behaving like a conroller, i.e. B is taking me back. Y is bringing up the keyboard?
Before I buy a Steam Deck, I just want to ask if Retroarch has the transfer pak emulated for Nintendo 64 gaming. I want to use the Pokémon I caught and trained when I’m playing the Pokémon Stadium games.
I have a SteamDeck (non-OLED) with EmuDeck and Emulation Station. I have "Manage Cores" as an option. But it does not have nearly as many options as the one in this video. (I'm using verion 1.17.0)@@JustJamie1983

Literally everything I try to get retroarch to remember the settings I change including what you’re doing here refuses to retain those settings. I cannot for the life of me figure out what the hell I’m doing wrong. I just want to turn on rewind, bind the key to the right trigger and turn off the boarder. Nothing I do saves the configuration and I’m losing my mind 😂 Edit: ok, no idea why but everything basically works now. I simply go and save the config and it for some reason works correctly. Happy it does but it was frustrating for the longest time
Hey thanks for the guide however in my case i couldn’t access to the quick menu. Plus the buttons are configured in a really weird way. What may be the reason?
I realized that none of my cheats on my ds games from work with the melon ds core but works with desmume one is there anyone way I can save that core to my games so I don’t have to change it back everytime I boot them up again from the home menu
@@JustJamie1983 i'm trying to play the games on my steamdeck. retro runs the games fine on my laptop, and i can stream from the laptop to the deck, but i can't get them to run natively, or even just move the games to the deck. my goal is to play the games on JUST the deck, offline, no other things involved.
@@JustJamie1983 Actually, I don't have a Deck yet. I'm still thinking about it. This is one of those factors that may make me buy one or not, the ease of use. Because I've tried RA on my laptop and it's not the easiest thing to setup (for me).
Is Retroarch installed via Steam or the standalone? The Steam version omits a few things so using the standalone is a better experience if you're familiar with Retroarch
@JustJamie1983 I'm guessing the wrong one. I'm totally new to pc gaming. I just got a steam deck. I'll try to understand how to do that, then try to follow this video. Thanks
Emudeck (recent) earlyacces, is wonkie as fu#k.... Nothing is working correctly.. and games that i have (gameboy advance) Exemple sonic advance 1/2/3 is not booting at all....I'm confuse

RetroArch did not come with EmuDeck on my device. I was able to install it through the Steam Store.
Do you recall what you searched for on the steam store? When I search "emudeck" i get 0 hits.

You're welcome!
RetorArch does not have Online Updater on my device. Maybe this video is outdated.
Which device do you have? I don't think Retroarch would have taken away online updater..

Reinstall it for a headache free Setup.

I would reinstall it personally or look at video driver settings.
