For me the most effective reading was the one she did most recently in 2020, though this certainly has fire abound. The 2020 recording for me had just that slight more breathing room and expansiveness that this work can benefit from too, I equally love the sokolov reading you can find on TH-cam. The third sonata is one of the miracles of piano music, and contains everything in and has always been one of my favourite things to play, astonishing difficulty aside. Again Charles thank you for sharing - and the Prokofiev from 1966! Is that the only recording to exist from that, was it a recital? Or radio feature? I always look forward to your uploads.
A treasure indeed! , love chopin 3rd . Love Martha's Argerich performance here in this recording !
Another delightful discovery of the world's treasure!
You are right. Her chopin 3 here sounds much more refined!
I don't know if the best she ever played but absolutely fantastic!!!!!
Brilliant. Thank you. A moving and ultimately head-spinning chopin.

It was part of a recital. This is what was preserved.
I like the slow tempo of some parts of the Prokofiev sonata, so mysterious. About the Chopin sonata, first time I hear so many mistakes from Martha 🙀
all concert pianists make mistakes dont be surprised, and i actually like this interpretation a lot even with the small mistakes
