You can drive a right hand version one in the US. I see a few people doing that now with Japan imported Mitsubishi Delica vans and other JDMs. I drive in both Japan and the US, and after a while you kinda forget that the wheels are on different sides. I still sometimes turn on the windshield wipers instead of the turn signal or vice versa when switching, but that passes after a couple of days.
