Professional police chiefs across Canada have said the same thing, Yet the liberal government with a blown up motor continues to work on the transmission !! WTF!!
Wrong! The government would still have their firearms. Unarmed citizens can not effectively oppose an oppressive government. If the citizens have ( not necessarily use) firearms the government has to respect that fact and act accordingly.
The mass shooting they are citing was by someone who didn’t have a gun licence and all the guns were obtained illegally. 3 of the 4 came from the US illegally. The RCMP report said the issue is smuggled guns and organized crime, not legal gun owners.
Rules were changed after Montreal shooting which reduced chances of another similar event. Rules also tightened up regarding legal ownership. @djdynieldaniel1395
If you want people to take us seriously you should get your facts straight. The Liberals are citing the poly shooting where the shooter had a legally owned firearm. They try to stay away from the NS shooting due to the illegal guns used.
Tony Bernardo and that gentleman from the CCFR have done a great job representing us gun owners in these interviews. I saw another interview on CBC with a gun store owner and quite frankly he did little to nothing to sway the opinions of those who support the ban.
Paullavalee1631- idk why your complaining its justanother right we are loosing idk how you could spin everysingle canadian loosing yet another right. You think it stops there? I mean what do they had to take from you in order for you stand up?
Why is the federal government so ready to restrict the sale of guns? According to the feds somewhere around 300 people a year die from gun homicides. OTOH about 45,000 people a year die from smoking according to the feds. Yet the federal government is taking no action to restrict the sale of smoking related products. Why?
It's aways been obvious that this is not about health and safety, and you can add cannabis and alcohol to your list. It's not even about homicide since until covid knives account for about as many, sometimes more, homicides. It's purely a political opportunity to buy the support of the ban-all-guns lobbyists. It's how they differentiate themselves from the NDP.
It’s not so much about gun control, it is more about people control. When the government controls what you can and cannot own they have more control over individual rights. ( live, work, say, own, worship, travel )
Glad you have your comments turned on CBC, it’s a start. Nope… will absolutely not comply. In fact I’m going on a canoe trip and I’ll take them with me, hope I don’t tip over.
Years ago when this first started it didn’t directly effect me so I did nothing, now I’m left to the fact this changes future decisions in life and I can’t do anything. Complacency doesn’t work, just look at the world around us
It is all BS for the city dwellers. They have yet to buy back or confiscate one firearm. They have, however, managed in true Liberal style, to blow over $100 million dollars on the program so far.
The holes in the border he talks about are native reserves that straddle the border. In those areas, there really is no border at all, provided you have the right card in your wallet.
@@AmenNoorMohamed Ontario, Quebec, and Manitoba. But there are plenty of reservations with proximity to the border, aside from the ones that actually straddle it. So my pistol cal carbine I use on my farm is now prohib. I'm a 10 Year Forces Veteran and have 26 years in Law enforcement. We are in weird a two dimensional world. Law enforcement does not have enough the time or resources to get the criminals guns off the street, but this obtuse idea that they are going to get legal firearms out of citizens hands is an absolute waste of resources time and money, and will have zero effect on crime.
Commonsense is something we tend to take for granted without thinking about it because it's based on facts. When it's not based on facts, it makes no sense. That's where we are at.
Not true. The 22LR has been used as a sniper rifle. These calibers in assault-style weapons are ones that the government is trying ban because the government cannot ban then as assault weapons.
Judging by this interview, it is clear that the left has no interest in what the firearms community has to say. Several suggestions by Mr. Bernardo about dealing with illegal crime and guns were dismissed out of hand by the CBC interviewer who was much more in agreement with the National Association of Women and the Law's Suzanne Zaccour during her portion of the interview.
Goes to show how rare these shooting happen in canada. They have to use an event from 35 years ago.
Tony, your messages here were truthful and well articulated. Well done, sir!
Your efforts are very much appreciated. 🙏🏻
How does violating my rights and unnecessarily bankrupting businesses stop gun smuggling and gang violence?
It doesn't.
Those are just the issues they use as excuses. The real reasons are far more dangerous to Canadians.
Nice job Tony.
thank you Tony. Please keep fighting for us.
Do we have a "legal" gun problem, NO : Do we have an "illegal" gun problem, YES.

You disarm everyone else except criminals, very true.

Thanks cbc for getting someone on that's on the gun owners side.
Give them nothing.

If it's the Poly shooting. Then he bought it legally in a hunting store.
That's why the mini 14 was the first on the prohibited list.

Mean while the criminals get to keep their guns. This is equivalent to banning all cars because of drunk/impaired drivers.
The common sense of the people vs the idiocy of the government.
