For the first time that I've looked, the Conservatives are 5% ahead of the Liberals (35% to 30%), which would likely end up with a Conservative minority if an election was held now. Maybe the trend will continue and by the time there is an actual election the lead will get larger and they will get a majority. Which means that they wouldn't be dependent on another party for support.
