Great interview with Canibus and Math, the whole LL thing was petty by LL, he knew Canibus looked up to him, admired him but he took offense to the borrowing the mic on the arm. Then got Canibus to change his verse and they had a phone call where LL used some fancy word play saying, "if you change your verse it won't pertain to you". LL then dissed him on the same song. Yes, LL brought Canibus on stage to Squash the beef many years later and still said that Canibus could make a comeback just because he rapped on stage with LL. LL is some type of prideful punk for saying that and even getting upset about the mic on the arm thing. If he does not take offense knowing that Canibus never meant it that way. Nobody else takes it as a diss, he knew Canibus wanted to copy the mic on the arm as a sign of respect for LL. LL did a punk move to Canibus and the squashing beef was more about LL than it was about Squashing the beef. I remember seeing LL talking to TD Jakes with his wife beside him on youtube or TV I can't remember. But I do recall that LL's wife was really quiet and did not say much, LL did most of the talking, I don't know if it's just me, but I could see that he had hurt that woman deeply. That showed me the type of person LL is. He is a great rapper, good actor and stays in shape, he is great on the surface. But his demons came out over that mic on the arm stuff and possibly in his marriage. When he said Canibus could make a come back after rapping on stage with him. It was like LL was saying now I have squashed the beef with you publically because of this, you can make a comeback in hip-hop. The audacity of this man, does he think he is God? Canibus is a great lyricist so is LL but I think LL was Jealous of Canibus's talent when he did not need to be as Canibus loved LL and wanted to be like him. I think LL knew this but still punked Canibus, it’s a shame because they could have made some great tracks together. I have to admit I don't like the way way LL handled this whole thing and after I saw the interview with TD Jakes, he went way down in my estimation. Canibus keep doing your thing people are starting to recognise your talent on youtube and other platforms.
It was dope to see Jada, Beanz and Free kick it and laugh about their beef. Beef is overrated, seeing men grow up and see the funny side of life even after some differences, that's beautiful.
I don't think Paul would let Em step down to the independent/underground guys and put out a compilation. Just pure lyrical juggernauts. That shits a dream tbh
I wanna see Cannibus return to battle rap and make a redemption arc out of his mishap! He had some of the dopest lines against Diz and I know he can do better. This would make 2023 so hype!!!

They all already been reconciled. LL live streamed with Mikey Destruction congratulating Bis on his new 2020 project and saluting Bis with a sincere smile and love in his heart. And as far as Eminem, he has his own way of reconciliation. It happened in 2019 on Eminem song "Bang" with Conway , Eminem mentions being a fan of Canibus back in the day. Eminem did that to show respect. Hip Hop loves you Canibus, don't ever forget that EVER
Facts but as anoyher person said int eh ckmments about LL be still sneak dissin him to his sace sayin u csn hsve your career back and rappin tht diss part on 4321
I really hope you get Eminem on your Podcast seriously bro. Just invite him please this man deserves that. You guys owe that to him. I don't care what nobody in these comments say about him.. We been putting food on tables of hip hop artists, and I know a LOT LOT LOT of people don't like that he continues to contribute so much effort to writing lyrics, and giving MASSIVE AMOUNTS of props ro the early heads, founding members and OG'S, I mean dont you want ALL of hip hops best on there? Not just his homie, or his best and closest friends but him too? It woulrbt be right if you didn't.
Canibus murdered every feature he was on, from common, The Firm, ll cool J, and more. He was so ahead of his time, its too bad things happened how they did, definitely one of the best lyricist to wnter the game
I don't care what nobody says. Cannibus bodied LL lyrically!!! Just destroyed him bro. That was when I was 17 years old. I was a local battle rapper. The purists of Hip-Hop in those days. No way he lost to LL!!! It was 100% political
Bis really took rap music and turned the knob. Freestyle era he was the second coming of Rakim. Mic Club - Rip the Jacker era he took it to a new level beyond just punchline rap and kept going after that, he's been reinventing his style and have a lot of projects people don't know where the level of lyricism is unmatched. No one pushes the pen as hard as Bis.
All Canibus was saying is don't flirt with, engage in or perpetuate negative thoughts, energies or environments, because if you do it long enough they tend to come to life.
Canibus is wise beyond his years. I wish math would have the guys he violated in the past come on his show to talk. That would be a great show about his growth
This was a side of Canibus I’ve never seen! I knew he thought at this level, because his rhymes . Who cares about clout? If your nice, your an mc? No respect for a rapper!! May we all reach 3OG status, and build our communities!!!
This is hands down the most fire set of clips from an interview on this channel since it's incarnation in my opinion. Not that the other interviews didn't hold weight, not that I didn't enjoy or appreciate Tragedy Khadafi or smart or method Man or Joe Budden or Styles but... But this here, Canibus been different. Since 96 with Cheeks and Tah til now, something about his frequency, I'm getting goosebumps just listening to him weave words together, create concepts with his vocabulary like this a Clue tape. This the new Clue tape... The Math Tape... This podcast to me resonates right now the way mixtapes did back in the day, this episode feels like Clueninatti - Clue World Order with Canibus on tracks 8, 9 and 19... 3 joints on one tape, that's the way he was giving it up per mixtape back in 97 and that how impactful this feels right now. Thank you for allowing his wisdom to flow unabated. Thank you Canibus for putting down your forcefield and trading and bartering knowledge and wisdom with us again. I know you been doing it but I only wanted you to do it in spaces where I knew everyone would get a chance to enjoy the bounties you have been cultivating. Thank you!
Not a chance with LL cool j but the Eminem thing wasn't that serious. LL HAD HIM BLACK BALLED HE DID THE MOST DAMAGE BLACK BALLING DUDES that ain't 💯 HipHop!!

The Poet Laureate…
This dude changed my life as an artist when I was 13.
Eminem should definitely look into doing business with canibus, they fit perfectly style wise, punchlines for days, hopefully it manifests
This would make 2023 so hype!!!
yall for the horse men twith kurupt and killer priest fire
Hip hop never been the same since 88, since it became a lucrative profession, now there’s a misconception that any movement in any direction is progression. 💎
💯Yo ain't nothin like HipHop 🏹🏹🏹🙌🏾 n I mean the culture, not the "industry" cuz we was never meant to go 'mainstream' but look how far we came!!! 💪🏽✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿I so love HipHop, we literally grew up together...I'm born 1974...me HipHop n SNL (Eddie Murphy days is the 1's I remember 😅) But yeah I mean the entire world follows us, That's huge!!!! 💪🏽 My hubby is Jamaican and he be like, I should have been a hip-hop historian, I said "I Am, n my b-boy stance lol...I'm such a tom girl still!!! 😆 Fyi My brother is a DJ from the beginning back when it was all about the DJ... One of my favorite Mc's growing up. One of the best Episodes on here.
His word play was above others. 100 bars is a sick track. Real essence of hip hop.
🐐👑
I damn near got into fights as a kid defending CANIBUS name. Y'all have no fuckin idea!!!!!
You should love this: th-cam.com/video/G2p2MESTpSY/w-d-xo.html

The Life after death album has 2 covers. One Biggie is in a graveyard. The other he's on the side on a hearse with B.I.G on the plate. Dark
Life after death album cover got me shook when I was younger Biggie looked like he was a ghost he felt he was gonna die very soon
Eminem and canibus joint would be CRAZY!! Real MCs!!!

*”Can-I-Bus a legend” 💯 - MELL DUNEY 616*
I really enjoy when @My Expert Opinion interview “Real” MCs like CANIBUS…
yes
THE LEGENDARY CANIBUS FINALLY GETTING HIS DUE!!!!!!!
☀️🍎🖤Great discussion!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Canibus ain't lying, this show definitely provides a balance and at the bare minimum offers perspectives to the youth who may not know and they ole heads who grew up during the times oblivious to what really goes on with artist in the industry. THANK YOU Math yawl created something real for us.
takes a real man to admit hes now a man and not a problem , respect
They all already been reconciled. LL live streamed with Mikey Destruction congratulating Bis on his new 2020 project and saluting Bis with a sincere smile and love in his heart. And as far as Eminem, he has his own way of reconciliation. It happened in 2019 on Eminem song "Bang" with Conway , Eminem mentions being a fan of Canibus back in the day. Eminem did that to show respect.
Hip Hop loves you Canibus, don't ever forget that
EVER
Facts but as anoyher person said int eh ckmments about LL be still sneak dissin him to his sace sayin u csn hsve your career back and rappin tht diss part on 4321
nonsense.. neither eminem nor ll will ever come out and say canibus is a top 5 or top 10 doa emcee
@@thisisanewusername4662 I think they certainly would actually
Yo math thanks for clearing the air with one of the unsung heroes of lyrical Arts. Wish his career went better
Bis been a beast, good Brother, and very very lyrical!!!
Legendary!!
Dope conversation!
I think they have asked him but Em probably busy with other things at the moment
I think it will happen one day. He's a hip hop purist. How could he resist?
Canibus murdered every feature he was on, from common, The Firm, ll cool J, and more. He was so ahead of his time, its too bad things happened how they did, definitely one of the best lyricist to wnter the game
Regardless of whatever. CANIBUS remains the greatest battle emcee to ever caress a mic ...WORD UP
This interview might be Math Hoffa’s best. Amazing
Learning how to decipher what energies to mix with can be hard.
I love you math.... you are so fucking real ....I been knew canibus was so ahead of it,,, now you see it also
Buckingham Palace on repeat right now 🔥 #Salute
Lol 😂. Top comment.
On repeat since '98 lol
Canibus my top #5 Canibus Snoop Kurupt Ghostface Redman Slick Rick
LL thanked canibus for inspiration on the back of one of his albums
Not good enough, yiure
you're one of the few looking there
And that was the same album that the ripper strikes back is on
Dope interview.
Canibus is the core definition of an emcee's emcee. Glad to see him get his off, don't really catch him doing extensive interviews. Salute.
Canibus has a beautiful soul an amazing energy,He is one of the best lyricist in hiphop.
Fantastic discussion 🔥
This is hands down needed for the culture....always two sides - DOPE!
When Canibus got with Wyclef, it watered Canibus down, he was trying to cross over to the Industry then the Beef with Eminem Blackbakled his Career
LL beef was the one that hurt him. By that time him and Em was beefing Canabis was already done.
Anagram Phoenix is one of many favorite canibus tracks he's way ahead of his time no one can touch him lyrically he's more than ooog
No one pushes the pen as hard as Bis.
to the right full throttle and added panache
LL just moved around with that pretty boy energy. Canibus for the win forsure.
I don't care what anyone says, but Canibus at his peak is still one of the best emcees I've ever heard. Easily top 5 lyricist of alltime.
Ngl when people bring up lists I forget about him alot of the times but he's def up there in terms of top emcees
Most interesting interview so far.. 👍
The swinging feet on the bottle left corner lol
All Canibus was saying is don't flirt with, engage in or perpetuate negative thoughts, energies or environments, because if you do it long enough they tend to come to life.
*”Life After Death album cover @ **5:40** is spooky for real” 💿 💯 - MELL DUNEY 616*
Canibus is wise beyond his years. I wish math would have the guys he violated in the past come on his show to talk. That would be a great show about his growth
2nd Round KO was dope.
This was a side of Canibus I’ve never seen! I knew he thought at this level, because his rhymes . Who cares about clout? If your nice, your an mc? No respect for a rapper!! May we all reach 3OG status, and build our communities!!!
Canibus is a lyrical G.O.A.T. to me always!💯 The game needs you!!!
The level of lyricism is inspiring💪🏽
Greatest lyricist ever.
Thank you!
bis been an alien from the start son
Not a chance with LL cool j but the Eminem thing wasn't that serious. LL HAD HIM BLACK BALLED HE DID THE MOST DAMAGE BLACK BALLING DUDES that ain't 💯 HipHop!!
